The people here are really warm and friendly - unlike some other cafes in Clifton village! Food is delicious too.

The maple flapjack was divine Had the goats cheese and sun dried tomato quiche that was lovely too. The lamb samosa wasn’t quite as nice but still very good

The chorizo and chilli sausage roll is one of the best sausage rolls I've ever had. Respect.

Really kind staff, good price for a deli box. The pork sausage rolls are really good! However the vegan option is very dry and bland, would not recommend.

I arrived 15 minutes before closing, didn’t know if I was gonna make it at all! However I was greeted by the lovely lady and I felt so welcomed and that made me so happy. I got 2 sausages rolls and 2 pastel de natas an a lovely donut! Thanks again everything was delicious you’ll see me again for sure x

Great sausage rolls! Best in Bristol. If you happen to drop your glasses while waiting in line, there is a great optical store across the street for repairs.

The chocolate doughnut was so good. The pastel de nata was okay but a bit too custard without the hints of other flavours like you’d find in Portugal. The doughnut was really good though so giving 5 stars anyway, not too sweet and it was delicious

I have been going for quite a while now and if you’re from the area you probably already know, but The Mall Deli does fantastic food and their sausage rolls in particular are fantastic, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re amongst the best in the country, even their vegetarian sausage rolls are delightful. Of course they do plenty of other things that I also highly recommend trying. This coupled with the lovely staff members makes for a winning combination.

Yet again outstanding service, great food and reasonable prices. The selection on offer is excellent and all the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Exceeds expectations!

Service here was incredible. Staff were so friendly and genuinely happy to help despite how busy it was. We got the deli meal deal and a sausage bap to takeaway. The sausage bap was honestly amazing and the sausage roll in the meal deal was super tasty. Will definitely try to return when in Bristol again

My gosh, the food… the taste and quality… out of this world! Definitely not cheap, but who cares! For food this good I would brave a salt mine under a whip… a true Bristol gem.

I find it impossible to pass this place and not stop in. The Breton chicken pie is my go to but the scotch eggs are wonderful. Oh and the salads are decent too

The Mall deli is the kind of local deli that everyone wants in their neighbourhood. Lunch salad boxes are amazing in the summer and the hot options are great too. I love the gift area which is great for Christmas stocking fillers. They always have delectable cheeses and can advise and recommend which is useful . The deli actually provided our evening food at our wedding and cakes after the reception. Everyone commented on the amazing array of cheeses and cold meats and the cakes were excellent. We were so grateful to them for making our day so special. We live a bit further away now but they’re always worth the journey. Can’t recommend the mall deli highly enough!

Great selection of delicious treats, cheeses and sliced meats. Staff are always friendly and helpful, I’ve been a regular customer for years and seen it change and improve. Their cakes to order are fantastic and I’ve made use of their hampers to gift at Christmas and for raffle prizes. Delicious Coffee too!

The worst service I’ve ever had in this place!!! Extremely unprofessional and rude staff .. The girl with the pink top needs serious training in customer service!!! For £21.00 Take away we expect at least to be polite.

We had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful Deli, as one of the stops on our AmazingCo treasure hunt. The shop and the reception we received was the highlight of our day. The welcome was warm and attentive, sharing our enthusiasm for the day. The shelves and displays were full of tantalising and mouth watering products. Definitely a destination shop. One to which I know we shall return. The food provided for the picnic was plentiful and tasted divine, confirming our initial perceptions. Thank you once again

This is literally the best deli I have ever come across. I moved to Bedminster but I still come here. Ploughman's sausage roll and smokey Joe scotch egg and toastie of the day are key highlights.

Review is not related to the quality of the food or service. It is a reflection on them no longer allowing paying customers who use their seating area to use the toilet. Legally I thought they had to provide toilet facilities if you are sat down to eat but they must get around that because it's outdoors. Please reverse this decision as you already have the facilities ------------------- In response to your reply, as I can't seem to reply directly, I appreciate you responding to me. The 1 star review reflects how not providing toilet facilities (which you actually have, and just need to allow people to use) can affect people. You may only have a perch table inside but you have 3 tables with chairs outside From my knowledge Clifton village only has one public toilet which is a 7-10 minute walk away for someone able bodied, a potential 20 minute round trip. In my view it's important that businesses don't shirk their responsibility in providing toilets and it's actually counterintuitive for you not to provide them, as you're essentially forcing people to leave. In terms of asking your staff, I did, I spoke with two of them who said I couldn't use it, but had to go to the public toilets. There wasn't a reason given however I didn't ask. I am more than happy to increase the review, if you do end up changing your policy.

Absolutely brilliant sausage rolls, great coffee and really friendly staff! So much choice too, we're already looking forward to returning and trying everything else!

Staff are SO lovely here. Really patient answering my thousands of questions about all the products, making sure our coffee and hot chocolate orders were okay and not too hot for the kids. The scotch egg was so good too, not too dry and really tasty. Seasonal Sausage roll was also enjoyed and reviewed as better than Gloucester services 😂 Thanks team.

I bought a beautiful hamper as a birthday gift from the Mall Deli recently. The lady I spoke to on the phone was so helpful and found the time to put it together that same day. The lunches are also absolutely delicious!

Me and my bf really fancied a hot chocolate and got there 1 minute before closing. They were happy to make us one each and they were amazing!! Great customer service definitely coming back

We stopped here to buy a couple of presents ( chutney / cheese twists) and bought two sausage rolls to have for lunch. Basically they were awesome. Chorizo and chilli, and Ploughman's flavours. Would totally recommend. Best sausage rolls I've eaten. Ever !

Don't get put off by the queue, the Mall Deli has many lovely choices, current favourites are olives, cooked ham, homemade hummous and pastel de nata, but I always see something tempting. You can also bring your glass milk bottle to buy milk.

Certainly one of the best places sells Olivies in Bristol. Little bit expensive but certainly high quality.

Good quality food. Been there the last two Saturdays to find that something was missing from the bag when I got home. Check to make sure they have given you everything you paid for when you visit their deli.

Stopped on Sunday to grab some lunch after seeing the queue trailing down the road. Fantastic homemade tomato & garlic soup, added with most amazing ploughman’s sausage roll (because basically they sit there calling your name until you buy one!) So many other tempting food goodies to buy, I could have stayed there all day. Topped off with absolutely fantastic service... 3 lovely ladies all bouncing off one another, happily serving the never ending queue recommending the lovely food - 10/10 from us!

We loved our lunch here today. As a family we share a couple of sausage baps, sausage rolls and a pasty. The food was tasty, the staff were friendly, it was a perfect lunch.

We wandered in off the street looking for something light to eat. There were plenty of nice sandwiches and toasties listed on the specials board, and also soup of the day. Our sandwiches were nicely prepared and had nice ingredients. The service was a little bit distracted but very friendly. This is a small place, so the seating is somewhat cramped. The front of the cafe is taken up with a large deli counter and shelves full of fancy goods, but it all looks delicious. A nice spot.

My boyfriend and I bought a few bits and pieces to take away... I couldn't walk past after seeing the sausages in the window! The hot sausage rolls were out of this world good! We also had a samosa and a chicken and bacon pasty... both were INCREDIBLE! The lady serving us was very friendly and helpful, offering to heat up the samosa for us. We would come back in a heart beat!

We've probably walked past this deli hundreds of times before but today, some yummy cakes caught our eye. After a walk round Clifton we couldn't stop thinking about the cakes so we returned for a cuppa and a cake and it did not disappoint. Yummy!

Delicious food, truly wonderful salads!

We have always enjoyed the Deli's selection of lunch time delicacies, but we recently used their party catering side of their service and were really impressed! Josie (manager) was so helpful and accommodating to guiding us to a decision on what to order. Their canapés were lovely, served in recyclable, stackable trays, my favourite being the rare beef with horseradish in puff pastry minibus. We took a charcuterie platter that was devoured and the chicken liver pate was very moorish. I was invited to taste a selection of cheeses to populate a couple of cheese boards, artfully dressed on wooden blocks with fresh figs and grapes. I was amazed at the range of cheeses available, more than we normally see at the Deli counter. The Deli have opted to source and stock only local UK-based cheeses and have fantastic "equivelants" of all the famous European cheeses. I was supplied with helpful/interesting tasting notes and it was lovely to serve a cheese board full of new cheeses that I knew I liked... As did our guests! Josie and the team were absolutely wonderful, from ordering through to delivery and dressing the cheeseboard. I wholeheartedly recommend trying the Deli for parties as well as everyday. Brilliant.

This place is a treasure-trove of delicious treats, charcuterie, cheeses, wines, cakes, savouries and hot drinks. The oatmilk cappucino is one of the best in town! The staff are super-friendly, and they do a cracking hot sausage in a roll at lunchtime, or lunch boxes with a deli item like quiche, bhaji or scotch egg with a selection of salads. Every item of food I’ve had from here has been divine.

Have eaten at this chain of restaurants before, many times at Portsmouth and found it very good but Visited here in November 2019 and was disappointed, one particular member of staff was dressed very causally not the usual nice attire. The restaurant is situated in the mall dinning area which felt like I was in MacDonalds. My wife ordered salmon and it was the size of a fish finger... no seriously!! And not cheap either. In saying that the staff were polite and the flavour of the food was nice. But I wouldn’t be in a hurry to go there again.

We were traveling in Bristol and spotted The Mall Deli and decided to rest up with a coffee and snack. Fabulous reception by staff, great ambiance and comfortable seating. Loved the food and the coffee was very good. Recommended to all when you are in the neighbourhood.

We are visitors to the city and had been to do the usual Clifton Suspension Bridge visit. We decided to find somewhere for a coffee before catching the bus back to the centre. The Mall window looked inviting so we dived in and waited a couple of minutes to be seated. OH decided that he might manage a soup and I agreed. Excellent coffee and excellent soup, generous portions, lovely bread and a tasty proper Cheddar wedge to go with it. Watching other meals waft past our noses made us regret having had such a large hotel breakfast. Cakes to takeaway completed the visit.The staff were polite, helpful, cheery, chatty and efficient. If we lived locally, it would be a regular haunt, without a doubt. A very serendipitous find.

Yes, it’s good to sit in too!But I would recommend getting one of their deli boxes and finding a sunny spot outdoors. Carry it to the park opposite, to the bridge or even to the zoo. A box has a vegan/veggie/meat deli type item and two/three substantial salads. My favourites are the Scotch eggs (yes all the flavours!) and the chorizo sausage rolls.

This was our first visit to Clifton and were drawn into the Cafe by the aroma of fresh coffee and the sight of delicious looking cakes and pastries, We sat outside and enjoyed everything we chose.

We recently visited the Mall Deli for lunch. We shared a pie and ordered 2 different slices of cake. Both cakes looked good so we decided to share them half each. Both cakes were beautiful and moist and they were very generous portions. We enjoyed the cake with a lovely pot of tea and cappuccino. We enjoyed our visit, good food and drinks served by friendly staff.

Grabbed some brunch here (pasties) on the way past as we were walking through Clifton on the way out to the zoo. I was very impressed with the little deli; food was fantastic, great little place and staff were very nice - highly recommend!

Nos encanta este pequeño café. Tiene todo lo que pueda desear para almorzar y una moca muy sabrosa que no es enfermizamente dulce. Hoy les pedí un sándwich personalizado y me lo entregaron. También pedimos bollos que eran encantadores y cálidos con crema espesa y mermelada perfectas. En serio bueno y muy amable y atento personal. Nos estamos volviendo asiduos ahora.

Charming little deli situated in the gorgeous Clifton area. Had a lovely lunch: deli plate consisting of a frittata, cous cous and pea salad. My sons had homemade sausage rolls on their deli plates which were delicious. Perfect spot for lunch.
