Costa Coffee in Bristol, City of

I have been here on Tuesday as my favourites bartender are working here temporarily. Will and Morgan was in shift, so I know I was in great hands, Will made my greatest cappuccino as he knows my preferences. Always the best! A special thanks to Becks, Morgan,Lucy and Will. Edit: I went back on Wednesday morning and only 2 guys was there, first I asked for a cappuccino and at 70 degrees, the second guy instead was making a mocha and I asked politely why was putting in the chocolate as I asked for cappuccino, he asked again to his colleague (if I stated it's a cappuccino what's the point to ask a confirmation to your colleague?) anyway, the cappuccino was watery, burned coffee and service was awful.... A pineapple in the b..t was feeling more friendly in my opinion.

Hygiene isn't great with all the bins full and the team clearly understaffed. Manager should put min. 4 people on a Saturday rush hour - not fair to their team to leave them short staffed

Baristas should be trained. They serve anything but coffee.

Who doesn't love a coffee at Costa? Attentive and quick customer service. I visit all the time and have never been disappointed. The person behind the counter, Pipe, I think his name is, was very quick and friendly. Thank you 😊

It's like any other costa, slow, god damned slow. You are aware each coffee machine has 4 coffee spouts, yet only one gets used at a time. Don't be fooled by a few people being behind the counter, it won't speed up. Coffee is drinkable, but I wouldn't call it a great cuppa I mainly go for my treaty summer drinks than for coffee. Of course the odd bacon roll. Otherwise it's an ok place ... This is where my late fiancée and I met for the first time.

It was a dump, all drinks served in take away cups, hot chocolate was just not nice. Extremely overpriced, too. No idea why it's so popular.

Everything you order is going to be according to menu. Fairly priced. Good coffee. Atsmosphere: unbelievably too cold in there.

Staff are rude, miserable and unhelpful. Would avoid ! We had a bad experience with one of the staff members being rude. Paid for mine and my 10 year olds food at the self service checkout, to be told we cannot have it as someone else has paid for the same thing so they will need to refund us as they don’t have any more paininis left even though we picked it up at the fridge first. At first I was being ignored by the staff member, and then they told me they have to refund us. I went to get a refund and my niece found something else she liked (she is vegetarian and fussy with food) so asked if we could swap with something else, and the staff member sighed and was really grumpy at us for changing our minds. I said don’t worry, I just want a refund now. Customer service was very poor and made us feel like a nuisance!

I don’t normally go for chains but they do an excellent mocha here!

Came in today for a frappe….which was made perfectly. Really nice hospitality too. I forgot just how good Costa can be. Win 🥇 💫💜💫

Quite honestly the most filthy Costa I have ever experienced. Tables covered in dirty cups and trays and the toilets were a disgrace. Avoid!

The waiting time for my summer drink was very long as there was only 2 staff on when I popped in late afternoon on a hot day. I had the most amazing summer ice drink MANGO,PASSUIN FRUIT AND ANOTHER FLAVOUR WHICH I FORGOT NOW. trust me you will thank me later when your try that drink. Enjoooooy everyone

Barista by the name of Bee was excellent today! Incredible service and so helpful!

Came into costa as usual love going in to grab a nice drink and a snack. Not impressed with the staff members Sum and Jacob, lacking customer service, the I don't care attitude, banging cups down on the tray, noticed for all customers who entered before me, asked for oat milk in my chai latte and got normal cows milk, did finish my drink as caused abdominal pain, If working in a place customer facing may need to be retrained, not worth going if there working, better of trying else where.

This is the first stop when arriving in Bristol. It's clean. Staff are competent and friendly.

Came here each morning whilst on a city break in Bristol! Great service from a team that clearly knows what they're doing!

I’m not one to moan but the toilets today were absolutely vile I’ve never experienced this in a costa before. No toilet paper, toilet in a vile state. Floors absolutely filthy too! Truly vile. & to think staff use these toilets too. was in shock. nicer toilets in McDonald’s !

Came into this store first time I have visited this store ordered me and my partner two hot chocolates the drinks were nice but the presentation wasn't the best whipped cream was carelessly put on both. It also felt and looked as if all the workers just found out bad news it wouldn't hurt to crack a smile and acknowledge your customers unfortunately I won't be returning to this branch. Do better

I visited today The toilets were disgraceful I spoke to a member of staff about it they weren’t interested and stated it was nothing to do with them I’m disgusted if any customers want to vist this coffee shop and spend four or £5 on a coffee then use the toilets that are discusting also the staff use the same toilet can you imagine the hygiene situation, I will now be reporting you to Bristol City Council and Health and safety

This place is underrated, although I was never fan of their coffee, their coffee is good!

Pretty solid Costa. Food was passable. Good choice of items. Flat White was good, Hot Chocolate was great. Overall, pretty solid experience.

A busy store, and the staff work hard to provide a professional service. On a visit yesterday, an elderly lady spilt her coffee – a team member, a slim woman with curly hair, spotted what had happened, mopped it up promptly, and brought her over a fresh one. Lovely customer care!

Black forest hot chocolate was simply divine!! Worth the long queue to get it, could't sit inside it was too full so we ended up having it to take away.

Costa coffee is the same all across the UK. The difference sometimes is customer service and my visit yesterday was definitely 5 stars.

I was there yesterday having a mocha coffee I was sick all night I have very bad stomach pain and also I been vomiting many times . Something definitely went wrong

I couldn’t contact in any other way!

Always get a decent drink here.

I enjoy Costa coffee as a whole but this specific branch always and I mean always spend more time talking to each other and then somehow lose my order almost every single time. They also will just go on break and leave whatever poor soul is not on break to just handle any customer rush. Only go here if you have an hour to wait for a single coffee because you will need it.

Nice place to go to for everybody

It used to be a nice coffee shop, but the experience today was shocked! The staff there was so rude. I went there at 09:03 which their opening time today is 09:00. A staff outside told me they need 2~3 minutes to start serving clients, so I thought I could wait in there, but I just went inside the shop, a lady in the reception shouted at me loudly saying ‘we are not open!’ What a day!

Kaitlyn who served us on the 18th November went above her job description. I had unfortunately forgot to charge my phone the night earlier when I had arranged to meet my friend in Bristol. I had also forgot my charger (not very organised). I asked Kaitlyn if she had a charger and cable that I could borrow while drinking our lovely coffees. Within 5 minutes she came back with both. I am so grateful with everything that she did because my eticket for the train was on my phone. I just want to say thank you for everything!!

Vegan Biscuit caramel loaf is my favorite. But you can only find in few costa outlets only.

Way too busy to sit in, cramped and noisy.

Very clean place. Great fast service from staff despite being obviously understaffed (The franchisee needs to sort that out). Drinks all up to the great standard we expect from Costa but the food is laughably priced in standard Costa form and is usually lackluster, to be avoided. Loads of great food places around as alternatives.

Great friendly service, they even filled out grandsons water bottle for him.

Could not access the main toilets so i had to use the disabled ones and the lock was broke someone also opened the door as i was finishing in there very embarassing.

Although they are usually quite busy, I've never had anything less than quick and friendly service here. They carry gluten free options of snacks. There could be a bit better selection in that regard, but it's still my usual go to for a coffee and snack on my shopping days in town.

Unbelievable busy and the staff very pacey. Management should reward them. I'm a Costa coffee lover and I have travelled all over UK.

Waited in line for ages on a hot summer day to be told at the till that they had no ice for frappe. Put a sign up, let people know, don't waste our time!

I am Really impressed with the way of working culture at this Costa Coffee, where a single lady used to manage the store, from billing, preparing coffee and upto cleaning the table. Oops..hats off .... We liked the service.

A typical Costa with some nice views, especially for people watching. Foam art didn't turn out too well, so not 5 stars this time.

The bacon sammiches are bangin' (but tiny) - nevertheless it does not justify the price and it never will. 😅

Had good service from Roxy on the till who took the time to explain how Vodafone drink for a £1 offer works. After I was insulted while collecting my coffee by the male barista. He slammed it down on the counter infront of me almost spilling it. When I remarked on this he said it was because I wasn't wearing a mask, then tried to give me cold milk when I'd asked for hot. I commented it was weird he chose to slam the coffee down because I wasn't wearing a mask, whereby he replied I was a bit weird! - CURRENT CORONA RULES ADVISE MASKS ARE NOT NECESSARY OR COMPULSORY - Interestingly he was talking to another customer beforehand who wasn't wearing a mask without any problem or drink slamming. Unless I'm wanting morning insults with with my coffee I probably won't be using this branch again.

I have been there twice and had unpleasant experience on both occasions when we were told that they are about to close in 10 minutes, though its OK for us to sit in. Then later were abruptly asked to leave carrying our coffee and food with us. I'm not sure if I'll want to visit a third time.

Have visited this costa many times and have never once had a bad experience. However my most recent visit I went there for a solid study session and treated myself to a large drink to get me through it. The staff were so polite and I spent nearly three hours there ! Best costa in Bristol city centre !

Great place! The staff is nice and friendly and moves fast. Tasty hot chocolate, haven't had their other drinks.

Costa Coffee. It's the same everywhere. Which is its selling point. The staff here were very friendly. Side note: The toilets are locked with a key code. They print the code on your receipt but don't just pop in to use their loo because you won't be able to.

I gave Costa Coffee Top makes the Big 5 Stars because it's ageat Place to go with friends all family to have a Coffee and something to eat and the staff are warm and friendly and all way's glad to help you

Overall was a good experience, friendly staff&made my drink precisely how I wanted it which I appreciate alot, worth checking out and costa always had quality drinks/food!

I've Been there many times, but I don't remember a time without any mishaps (missing drinks, different order, waits etc.) Bothing serious but constant. I might have been just unlucky, might be because city centre busy times or just my language barrier. I just personally cannot do better review.

My favourite coffee shop. Staff always courteous.

A nice big Costa shop right in the center of Broadmead. Has snacks to choose from like Sweets and Meals (like Sandwiches/Wraps). The staff were very kind and were working very hard and efficient so they could keep the waiting time as low as possible. Can't wait for the sitting area to open again!
