The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Gran lugar y parecía prometedor. Como la idea de que no cobran extra por la leche vegetal. El servicio estaba lejos de ser genial, me hubiera gustado haber salido cuando la camarera estaba limpiando la mesa con la actitud. Pedimos huevos en tostadas, pedimos específicamente que no tuvieran tocino y pedimos salchichas veganas. Comprobó dos veces que eran veganos. Para mi sorpresa, fríen todo en la misma parrilla que el tocino. Tengo un trozo de tocino en mi plato con los huevos y rebanadas de pan quemadas. ¿Cómo puede decir el lugar que la comida es vegetariana si se hace en el lugar exacto donde fríen el tocino? Mi compañero se comió su porción ya que no es vegetariano, pero dijo que la comida era horrible.

My daughter stayed at the hotel and we joined her for dinner. We sat outside with the wonderful view on a lovely evening. She confirmed that they understood she had a nut allergy. When the desert arrived she was suspicious about the topping. I tasted it, definitely nuts. It was returned to the kitchen. We were all obviously anxious. The waitress offered free coffee as an apology. When I said we would have the free coffee she said it was only 1 free coffee for my daughter. When she came to check out the next morning the receptionist made a point of saying that she had received a free beverage. We had averted a medical emergency and she was expected to be grateful for a free coffee! Not good enough Royal Duchy. More customer service training required for staff in the kitchen, waiting on and at reception.

Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely location too

Stayed for two nights last week. Stayed in the ground floor room designed fo accommodate the less abled. Having back and leg problems I found the bed sadly uncomfortable. I would strongly recommend a mattress with more support. I had difficulty getting off of the bed. The door into the room was sticking at bottom half of the jamb and the pocket sliding door was jamming on the lining making it noisy to open. Generally the room was o.k. otherwise. The hotel is ideally placed with a good sized car park. Excellent breakfast.

Our food was very good but not as good as other pubs we’ve been in so that is the reason for the 4 rather than a 5. Otherwise it was a great experience. Owners were very personable.

Great sensible down to earth menu. I love the humour of staff. They call me Mr Number 2 because I order number 2 breakast. :)

Great find in Moretonhampstead, family run cafe. Perfect omelette with fries and side salad. Friendly service with a smile.

Food was nice, but the menu is very restricted with most items carrying a supplement, which made the meal much more expensive than advertised. Not four star standard as the hotel purports to be. The decor is very tired, the chairs are grubby and the carpet just dirty. The staff do their best, but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear. It clear the owners have lost interest in the hotel and leave the staff to run the place.

Carvery was not good I ordered a nut roast when I went to get it the chap serving the meat was so rude said I haven't got one did you order it I said yes with the waitress 15 mins before he said well you will have to wait the potatoes were that hard you couldn't cut into them (needed a chainsaw )The sprouts were hard so was the broccoli overall very dissapointing and definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY 😡😡😡🤮

This is a great local place for fish and chips. Owners really friendly. Covid safe measures in place. Fish and chips were really tasty and a good price. Highly recommended.

Lovely place for a coffee and a cake to take on to a beautiful beach. Had a really delicious flapjack here, would recommend

Went to the restaurant as a groups of friends. A little hard to find the way in. It has the feel of an old club hall and bar. The young staff that were in were so polite and attentive. The food was delicious. I have roast beef with a massive Yorkshire pudding and amazing roast potatoes. The beefs seemed a little processed but still tasty. First place I have been to in ages that served enough gravy, sticky and tasty. Friends had chicken and peppercorn which they loved. Very lovely relaxing lunch

I stay in the Hilton Swindon weekly and every single time I eat at their in-house restaurant 14Twelve Brasserie. There is always a good variety of food and the staff are always so welcoming. Jason one of the managers recommended one of their specials, a lovely Beef Brisket with mash, vegetables and gravy. A really tasty and hearty meal that i highly recommend and would definitely have again.

I had a sausage sandwich and a flat white. The sausage was OK, but bread option was 1 .......sliced white!!! Flatwhite was OK. Service was grumpy! If you don't like being there then maybe do something you enjoy.

Nos dimos el capricho dos veces en noviembre para el almuerzo del domingo en el Sail Loft Suite y disfrutamos de ambas visitas muchísimo. una excelente comida de asado, homestyle fresca cocina sin el trabajo! Uno de los domingos, el chef siempre estaba enfermo y uno de sus colaboradores y produjo un super comida, así que mis felicitaciones a todo el equipo! Es estupendo tener un día de cocinar y todavía tienen una comida casera, con carne y vegetales frescos en un lugar muy agradable. Estamos teniendo una cena de cumpleaños para nuestro hijo un domingo en diciembre, así que esperamos que también.
