It was a warm morning in August and we sat at a sunny table in the square outside the cafe. The bacon sandwiches were some of the best we’ve ever had—layers of thick, crusty bacon, a runny fried egg, in a brioche bun. Super coffee, quick pleasant service, and we didn’t have to break the bank.

Lovely cafe - cute indoor seating and nice outdoor pavement tables - fabulous selection of drinks and milk types - I had a delicious chai latte my husband went for cappuccino and bacon sandwich which he said was amazing and I had one of my favourite breakfasts ever - brown sourdough toast with peanut butter banana toasted seeds and honey with blueberries - I’d go back to Glastonbury just for that ! Thanks everyone

Lovely moments sat watching the world go by on the pavement seating. Lots of cake choices so difficult to decide but we enjoyed great bakewell slices and chocolate cookies with our tea and coffee. Boyf said that the coffee was very good. Most important for us was the friendly efficient service by the staff. Great place to stop and chat.

If breakfast baps are your thing then this cafe is for you. They have a very good range. It's not normally choice of breakfast but I did have a tasty bacon bap which had quite a lot of bacon in it. My wife had avo. on toast with feta. She said it was very good. Tea and coffee were fine. The standard with coffee here seems to be a double shot which suited my wife.

I used to loved Heaphy's, it was the first cafe I visited when I moved to Glastonbury and they did the most amazing paninis, however my experience today has put me off ever going again. I ordered smashed avocado on toast which cost around £7. When it arrived it was one piece of toast and the avocado was pureed. It was like baby food and I could have sucked it through a straw. I found one lump in it expecting it to be a lump of avocado but it was part of the seed/stone. Fortunately I realised before I bit into it. The staff don't greet you as you go in and don't seem particularly friendly, the person who delivered our drinks called us 'guys'. As a table of 3 mature women we did not appreciate being addressed as guys. This usually wouldn't bother me but as the server was transgender I felt this highly inappropriate.

I went there, because I liked the quality of fresh croissants and coffee. However, it wasn’t cheap and you don’t have a choice of paying by cash, card only. But the service was really poor. The young woman with dark hair was very rude to me, she appears not to like to serve customers, the woman, who said she was a manager wasn’t any better. I stoped going there, when they were on shift. With other staff, the service was fine. Unfortunately these 2 women are there are there on most of the days.

Firstly, disappointed that this establishment did not take cash and were forced to pay by card. Would not have bothered if it had been advertised that they did not take cash. Secondly, they only provided some kind of funny looking “coconut “ sugar which only had the scrapings in the glass jar on the table. Looked on other tables but they were all the same. Asked if they had normal sugar, brown or white and they said that they did not have any only sweeteners. Will not be back anytime soon.

We visited this cafe as two couples/family buying coffee & cake. I would echo what a previous review said about the coconut sugar which I'm sure was very nice but there were just scrapings in the little pots & we checked the pots on other tables too which were the same. Our request for white sugar was declined. It was only after I had ordered that I was told they didn't accept cash which was how I wanted to pay. I offered to pay the exact amount & a kind chap behind me offered to pay it for me. I gratefully declined & explained that it was principal rather than lack of funds. If the other members of my family hadn't already sat outside with their coffee I would have left but ended up paying with a card. There was absolutely no signage on or in the cafe. We definitely won't be returning.

Mediocre is probably being too generous. We did enjoy sitting in the window seat. The pot of tea was quite nice but our request for white sugar seemed to present a problem, congealed brown sugar of unknown vintage was chipped out of a very unsavoury glass jar. However for £3.95 the cake was the smallest, meanest sliver of cake possible, half an inch thick at one end and tapering to a wafer at the other. Lamentable.

A much needed brew at the end of a hard day I decided to pop into this cafe. I ordered a slice of cake and a cup/mug of tea. The cafe does not accept cash so I had to go back to my table to grab my card. My tea was delivered to my dirty table, by the time it was cleared and I started my Tea it looked a bit stewed as the bag was in the cup. I asked if I could have some hot water to water it down. I was totally shocked to be told I’d have to pay 60p extra for more hot water. I actually couldn’t believe my ears. I had already paid £7 and feel it was a disgrace. I subsequently asked for cold water as it was un drinkable. What a let down. One positive the cake was nice.

I'm struggling with this one. I had a really great time at Heaphys, but as I write this review I'm not sure that was due to Heaphys or simply its location.Sat outside at a little table for two, couple of coffees, panini's, watching the wonderful world of Glastonbury go about its business. Then watched a great little band play in the square, yards from my table, the first live music Ive seen in six months. Yes, i had a lovely time, but is it Heaphys or just its location? On reflection I think I think they can't go wrong with this location, busiest spot in town, and great business planning to get this site. But, average coffee, average food, unfriendly staff. I don't feel I can rate it higher than average, when its not the cafe that made it a higher than average experience? So, I had a great time at Heaphys, but that may be in spite of, not because of.

On visiting Glastonbury my husband and I were looking for somewhere for a coffee. We spotted some empty tables at this café although there was no indication as to which had been cleaned. However, an older woman came out and sprayed it down. We scanned the track and trace QR code and took our seats. Poor, best avoided. The cafe has a very limited menu which is essentially jacket potatoes or paninis. I had a jacket with cheap beans which was served in a cardboard box with plastic cutlery due to covid nonsense, no plates or decent cutlery. Latte was good but served in a cardboard takeaway cup, contactless only no cash, no toilet available due to yet more Covid nonsense and social distancing blah blah. Owner VERY keen on forcing track and trace down your throat and cream teas are cheap supermarket scones (really cheap) and in south west I expect PROPER cream teas. You won’t get served with a smile here either, you get dealt with.In a town where so many people are in touch with the spiritual side of life this place has a poor vibe and is simply adding to the world’s plastic and recycling problems.

Having just arrived in Glastonbury after a long drive we all wanted a drink and a bite to eat. We unfortunately visited Heaphys. Great location , ok cup of tea but probably the worst panini I've had in my life. I did eat it as I was starving but regretted doing so for the rest of the day as I and my daughter who also had the misfortune of sampling this strange item had upset stomachs and spent the rest of the afternoon running to the nearest loo. Not a great start to a visit to Glastonbury . I should have gone with my initial instinct and not eaten it . Hygiene levels questionable .

And the panini - oh dear, some awful dry bread, which meant I had a have a sip of my drink after every mouthful. Beside this was a littering of half dead yellow lettuce, and laying on top of this was an inch thick chuck of cucumber which was dried up on both sides and a similar looking chuck of tomato - which looked very unappetising. This corner cafe has really gone to new heights under it's new ownership. Lots of seating outside on the path for people-watching. Recommend their pizzas.

After a couple of enjoyable hours seeing the abbey and the numerous shops in Glastonbury it was time to replenish. So many places so picked Heaphy's at random, no complaints! Service was good, as was the tea and cakes.

Coming from Canada where they cannot make a cappuchino to save their lives, it was a relief to have my first proper cappuchino in years. Delicious.

two slices of toast was £3.10 and tea was weak. Friend had a hair on her toast and was presented with an empty jar of marmite.

Average Cafe food, inflated prices due to location takes advantage, unbelievable mark up on toast, empty jar of marmite presented. Not worth the mark up.

Booked a table for family of five for Halloween Service was polite and friendly, didn’t have to wait too long for our order and the meals were all hot quantity & quality was amazing. We all had fish & chips but there are other options of things to eat. Definitely value for money and will definitely be returning again

Nice local business with delicious food. Had the Buddha bowl with loads of tasty veg and some chicken. Hummus and chickpeas made it enough that i didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day.

After months of closure, the Red Lion at Woolverton has reopened under new management. Dan the manager gave us a warm welcome and told us of his plans, as we were chatting the pub started to fill up, obviously word has started to spread of the wonderful welcome, excellent food and drinks, it’s well worth a visit

My daughter had her birthday Party there and it was so lovely. Very friendly host. Jordan is simply the best. The kids enjoyed their food, the pizzas were to die for and they had a swell time. F-Cooke is sure the best when it comes to hosting people. Friendly and lovely .
