The best restaurants serving British food in South East

I was waiting to be served for nearly 20 mins. 4 people were served before me, and 3 of those came in after me. I wouldn't of minded so much, but it's like I wasn't there. I have used them quite a lot, but probably won't again.

Yo estaba comercial en la ciudad y pasamos un poco de tiempo para matar así que decidimos BHS cafe una prueba para el almuerzo. Solamente he comido aquí una vez antes en esa ocasión elegir una papa de la chaqueta. No fue la mejor, pero me pareció que cosas podrían haber mejorado después de todo este tiempo, así que pensé que me gustaría darle otra oportunidad. Gran error! Pedí una patata, brécol y queso torta del menú comidas calientes a un costo de £5.50 . Me dijeron que me podría haber dos lados con esto y me ofrecieron 'chips' o 'puré' (realmente! El plato ya o patata). Me decidí por guisantes y verduras variadas y pedimos una taza de té Earl Grey, por un costo total de 7,15 libras que es mucho para un almuerzo de calidad sub-estándar. La mayoría de las personas que pedimos comida, etc. estaban pagando en media de £7+. Me senté y comenzaron a comer mi comida pero descubrí que la comida estaba fría, y parecía haber sido colocados en un plato frío. Volví al mostrador para decir que la comida estaba fría, ni siquiera cálido, y ya que estaba en las comidas calientes menú, descripciones comerciales vienen a la mente! El miembro del personal que se ocupó de la reclamación se disculpó y me dijeron que lo 'calor que para mí". El miembro del personal que trajo mi re-climatizada comida a mi mesa otra vez se disculpó, pero la expresión de su rostro no estaba en el menos auténtico, sino más bien un aspecto de 'indiferencia'. Me sugirió que tal vez sus fogones no funcionaban adecuadamente. Tengo que decir que este café es una farsa de la industria del servicio de comida. No puedo decidir si es pobres los niveles de personal, la falta de formación/compromiso por parte del personal o complacencia de el personal pero sea lo que sea, es lo que sirven es de los más pobres calidad que he experimentado. Puede ser que sólo así comprar un sándwich frío de los panaderos cercanas y pagar mucho menos. Venga en BHS, dinero, esto podría ser una pequeña mina de oro pero estás dejándoos mucho. I am contactar Compass Group Reino Unido cuyo nombre aparece en el recibo, ya que puede que les interesaría saber cómo mal están siendo representados en esta excusa para un café en Maidstone. NUNCA me dan a esta cafetería mi negocio nuevo.

Overpriced, soggy batter, not that clean, eddy to park outside, office licence next door. Sadly world not come back.

We were staying nearby, and called in here for a couple of breakfasts. Good value for a perfectly acceptable cooked breakfast.

Ordered meals for my children they refused to eat as said it tasted funny. The chips were rubbery and everything had an odd tatse to it

Horrendous service, asked for ice cream in a tub, the server made a mistake, proceeded to remove the ice cream from the cone and then placed the left over Ice cream into a tub!! He then was using the same cone on another flavoured ice cream.. horrendous behaviour. I then asked for the cone to compensate the mishap he made with the order, he then had the gall to ask me for 30 pence extra for that. Try the cafe on the pier front, much better service there, please avoid this place!

No Gluten free savoury options in fridge. No porridge. Only highly calorific and sugary gluten free brownies or apricot crunch bar at til and pricey!

I paid £25 for sausage, chips, and curry sauce, but what I received was oven chips, a greasy sausage, and watery curry sauce. The quality was unacceptable. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and the restaurant was in a dirty condition. I expect much better service and food for that price.

Given that the food within Country Market itself – the butcher, the cheese counter and the vegetables are all wonderful this could have been fabulous - However, apparently this cafe has nothing to do with country market at all. My salad (at over £7) was iceberg lettuce, 2 tasteless tomato's chopped into quarters, and about eight slices of cucumber. And the chicken was extraordinary! It had been cut into square sided wedges like chips and had clearly been cooked and then frozen. It was very cold, watery and the first couple of pieces tasted a bit like fish. Suffice it to say that I left the majority of the quite generous portion. When I ordered I was offered by the wonderful staff to have either mayonnaise or have it as coronation chicken – I suspect that was to hide the reality of the meat (if you can call it that) itself. They have no salad dressing. You can only have mayonnaise or salad cream – unless you want to put the malt vinegar they use for the chips on your salad. Olive oil does not exist and apparently they only use vegetable oil in the kitchen The redeeming feature was the coleslaw which was absolutely lovely – as were the staff. The cakes looked great and the people in there seemed quite happy with their coffee. They don't actually have a salad on the menu so I suspect they normally put the chicken in a baked potato or a sandwich but for those people who can't eat grains a salad was the only option. I was grateful that they made it for me however I think cheese might have been a safer bet! I was so stunned by how truly terrible it was that I didn't even manage to take a photograph – very remiss or you would've seen the state of the chicken! I was sorely disappointed – it was one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. I would've done better to have gone into the shop and bought an avocado, a couple of tomatoes and a piece of cheese! I know for next time!!

My husband just collected the banger bundle.It was very disappointing. The chips were very dry and old. You could tell that they had been heated up. My husband phoned them up to complain. He was told ‘ well we are busy’. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. We won’t be going there again !!!

Ordered food online for collection and when I got to the shop it was closed. They still took my money from my account but never got the food. Online it still shows the shop open but I think it has closed for good because they never pick up the phone. This has never happened to me before, disgusting how this shop is run.

Great snack food, excellent drinks choice, lovely view with windbreakers and outdoor heaters. We shared a Tempura Prawns and portion of chips. Quality was high, good size portions for the price. Really lovely staff.

The Food (burgers) were cold and sent back. Service was slow but polite. How hard is it to cook and deliver a burger warm and fresh?
