My husband just collected the banger bundle. It was very disappointing. The chips were very dry and old. You could tell that they had been heated up. My husband phoned them up to complain. He was told ‘ well we are busy’. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. We won’t be going there again !!!

Ordered large cod and chips. When I got home found the fish to be overcooked and dry. Even worse the chips had clearly been hanging around for a long time - barely warm and very dry and hard.

Popped in to the restaurant for a quick dinner tonight. I wanted Roe, and they don’t do that. What fish shops don’t do cod roe??? Ended up with two medium cod and chips. I asked for a glass of wine, they don’t do alcohol. Always used to have a beer and wine when it was Fish n Chicken. Asked for 2 diet cokes. These were warm as just taken off shelf. Dinner was absolutely tasteless and for £27…absolute waste of money 😡😡

After some poor experiences was lured back by a 25% discount voucher. Prices have gone up since last visit but sadly matched by a decline in quality and value for money. Cod was depressingly overcooked and grey in colour. The cheeseburger - now over £8, including regular chips, was poorly cooked with the cheese massively over-done. Will stick to the Golden Arches in South Woodham for my burger in future and do not see myself getting fish from here again.

Visited this establishment for a take-away of cod and chips. Fish was cooked to order but when I got home and cut into the fish the flesh was a grey colour and most unappetising. It also had an unpleasant after-taste so ended up throwing most of it in the bin - total waste of money.

Ordered via the Click & Collect service and arrived before the collection time to find my order ready. I only live five minutes away so I was surprised to find when I got home that the chips were only lukewarm. Worse was the piece of cod that I had ordered. This had clearly been cooked some while before and was virtually inedible. This restaurant was rebranded from Fish 'n Chicken but there has clearly been no improvement. I used to go to Peggotty's in Rayleigh where everything was cooked to order but this was rebranded to Churchill's and the menu was changed with things no longer cooked to order.

Terrible. This place won’t last long. Bad service and worse food. Greasy dry cod and bad chips. Peggotys in Rawreth or robinsons or our plaice in Maldon, the last few remaining good fish and chip shops around. When will south Woodham finally get a good fish and chip restaurant?

I came to Ramsgate as a tourist. At about noon I went into this pub and asked if their kitchen was open. Outside a sign stated food all day. The very apologetic bartender said sorry, drinks only. Disappointment, because the place looked ok. She directed me towards other establishments near by, so thanks for that.

Enjoyed a very pleasant English tea for 2 at a very reasonable discounted price of £20. Efficient service and delicious food.
