The best restaurants serving British food in South East

I used to love coming here for breakfast or lunch but the past year it has definitely gone downhill, I’m sad to say. Used to love the full English breakfast but this is no longer on the menu. The paninis and salads are overpriced and not very good quality. My Cappuccino was almost cold today. Even the ice cream wasn’t great! I don’t know what happened here, maybe a change in management but I won’t be returning

I had a fantastic gluten free pizza here, there was a good variety of gluten free foods. We stayed at the lodge next door and also had breakfast there. We only paid for the continental which wasn’t great or worth the money.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I placed a relatively small order just after 18:30 and was told it would arrive just after 19:00. 19:00 came and went and so I rang numerous times to check where the order was and was assured it was “on its way” which carried on for about an hour despite the fact we live less than 10 minutes away. Sadly, when the food did arrive around 20:10, it was luke warm, and the bun for the burger was stale. I rang up to complain and ask for a refund or at least a discount only to be offered free food instead. They offered to collect the food but at that time, everyone was so hungry that we had to make do. I rarely ever leave reviews of anything but on this occasion I felt no choice. It has been arguably the worst takeaway experience I’ve ever had with abysmal customer service. If you are thinking of ordering from Off the Hook tonight, please think again.

Muy buen ambiente y personal servicial Tuve un buen filete de solomillo. Solo una decepción que era que el orador de la mesa 18 estaba captando comentarios bastante fuertes que eran intermitentes pero muy molestos. Por favor, arregla esto. La respuesta del personal fue que era la respuesta del transformador para un calentador de almacenamiento eléctrico?

Such a shame. We have been coming here for years and found it resonable value. Food is never hot from the buffet (something we just put up with) But now the price is £17.95 for Sunday carvery (£12.50 child) it is just not good value. Now charging pub prices. We would rather sit in a characterful pub and pay the same and more likely have hot food rather than the 'normal' cool food. I hope they look at what they are doing and make changes

My first time to visit Haskins Garden Centre today and to be honest I was blowen away !! So clean neat and tidy from the moment we pulled into the car park , So much of everything I could have spent hours looking around the shop ,inside and out and loads of fab ideas for the garden !,all the sales people I spoke to were very smiley and professional , it was refreshing to be in a garden Centre and being able to see loads of staff !! soooo many !we stopped for a snack at the restaurant the food looked lovely and so much choice ! Again really helpful staff telling me what they had ,great food and the coffee was the very best I've had !! Cant wait to return Well done Haskins your employee's deserve a pat on the back !!

There for a few beers and stepped out into the smoking area, when I tried to get back had been told that the manager had pointed out 4 people who they didn’t want back in, and I was one of them. No explanation why, I’d literally just chatted to the other people outside for the first time and had only had 1 beer. Anyway, avoid. I suspect they don’t want customers of certain demography which was very much the impression the bouncer gave when I asked him why weren’t allowed in. Beer is overpriced here too.

We stayed over here for two night and they accommodated us on very short notice with our two small dogs. Manager Kayley made this stay extra special for us. She was so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay a great one. We had dinner in the courtyard both nights and it was delicious and the chef should be praised for dishes we had not had before but were stunning. The locals all talked to us on arrival and our dogs and made us feel ever so welcome. I would highly recommend a stay or food here and we will definitely be back

Cannot fault the restaurant at all! I have a dairy allergy and the staff were beyond accommodating - they could make almost every dish dairy free and I even had a selection of 3 desserts! Service was brilliant and the food was lovely☺️

Friendly people, stunning countyside and great value for money. The bedroom are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Our children throughly enjoyed using the pool and facilities. The breakfasts were delicious and they pull a great pint of Guinness. We will definitely visit again.

The service was not existent. The team behind the counter were more interested in their own conversation. The cake was dry, tables were sticky and dirty

Llegamos a un establecimiento vacío, pero las mesas estaban sucias. La persona que servía limpiaba las mesas, pero el servicio en sí era muy lento. Cuando pedimos la factura, no nos la enseñaron, ella puso los números en la máquina de tarjetas y fue solo después de pagar que descubrimos que nos habían cobrado un cargo por servicio. No había mención de esto en el menú. No tengo ningún problema en dar propinas por un buen servicio pero un cargo automático en una mesa para cuatro cuando el servicio era deficiente es ridículo. Definitivamente no volvería.

Extremely long wait times regardless of how busy it is. A small breakfast is £9 and a large one is 11 but you get the same amount of food for each just with a bigger plate - it's a bit of a scam.

After a walk around Sheffield Park we went into the Coach House Tea Rooms for some drinks and a snack.- A limited Choice Both of which were Okay, but nothing more and a little overpriced but it served our purpose
