The best restaurants serving British food in Waverley South East

I visited Little Latte on a bike ride with a group of 14 people. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were able to serve us all in good time despite the large size of our group. The drinks and food (cakes and hot food) were all excellent. We sat outside in the rear garden that is shared with the adjacent pub. The setting, alongside a stream with views over the countryside, was very pleasant. We’ll definitely be going there again.

Top Nosh provided a savoury offer for our Christmas Event and were a pleasure to work with. Martin was quick to respond to any questions and helpful in advising on pitch location and practicalities. The food is superb quality and the wagu burgers were quoted as the best people had ever had! This restaurant was a most pleasent surprise - l say this because the standard and choice of food is really very good indeed- we decided to try the roast on a Thursday- the helping was generous and the chef certainly knows how to produce a high standard - l enquired how on earth they managed to produce quantities of meals of such good value and according to Kate one of the managers- it is all down to their clever buyer!! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the volunteers most pleasent and eager to please.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING Sunday roast. Beef short rib that fell off the bone, perfect roast potatoes, carrot, broccoli cauliflower cheese, crispy parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, squash & swede mash, red cabbage, greens plus a massive jug (the correct amount) of gravy. Everything was delicious!

Superb meal with family. Excellent service from very friendly team. John is the commensurate host and makes everyone feel like part of his family! The menu is a wide mix of Styles and tastes incorporating a few English pub Classics along the way. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Definitely one to visit but make sure you book a table.

Disappointing. Great location, stylish interior and lovely staff, but the food and some of the service were not as good as previous visits. Starters were ok, I liked the different style of prawn cocktail, although others didn't so much. I ordered a steak burger and was expecting a juicy tender steak burger, what I got was dry and leathery accompanied by soggy chips, although the coleslaw was delicious. Same for the chicken burgers my friends ordered, overcooked dry chicken - one was a much smaller portion compared to the other, with only a smear of sauce. 2 of our group ordered the cheese board and although the cheeses were good, arrived without celery and chutney, so we had to ask for some and got onion marmelade which overpowered the taste of the cheeses. Chutney would have been a better. These may seem like small quibbles and although we had a great evening with our friends, the food was not as good as it could have been for the price point. Unfortunately, when the bill arrived, we'd been charged for a bottle of prosecco instead of 1 glass, luckily my husband noticed before we paid and the staff were quick to put this right.

Wonderful meal there last night, very reasonably priced including wine. Friendly and efficient staff. Hidden gem, I'd say!

Service was exceptional - team were very attentive. And took the time to explain how the Lebanese food is eaten. And the food itself was extremely food. Wry tasty and full of flavour - reasonable value for money too. My wife had the on special ‘rainbow trout’ - would highly recommend that. Plus the sharing Lebanese platter starter. Would highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed

Best roast I’ve had out for a long time! It was very tasty, beef was rare and very decent portions. Puddings were home made and also fantastic! We came for a family birthday and the staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating - I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic, went for lunch (on a Wednesday), great food, good menu options and the staff were also very helpful, and all in a great setting. As we were the only ones in it’s hard to comment on the atmosphere when busy, but the tables are well spaced, so I suspect it’s good as well. Add it to your list of places to eat, drink or just meet friends!

Love this little cafe.... been many times. Breakfast, lunch or a slice of cake... of which you are spoilt for choice... never disappoints. The friendly service is always appreciated too. Excellent quiche today.... will be back soon for cake!

I have been coming to Sweetpeas for many years. The food is excellence with a good choice at a very reasonable prices.The service is outstanding & Amir & Monica always run a very good cafe & never fail to impress. I recommend the cooked breakfast & the carrot cake is the best I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is great & there are always happy customers to be found. The cafe is very busy & I would suggest booking a table at weekends when it is especially busy. Added bonus is the free car parking in the garden centre car park. An excellent cafe worth going out of your way to visit!

Recently refurbished. Looking fantastic. Under new management. Definitely worth a visit. Tom the new landlord is doing his best to turn it around. Go on, give it a go!
