We hadn’t been to the Mulberry for a while so we decided to and visit again. The service, food and general experience has improved. The food was delicious, drinks good and the service was quick and attentive. We will definitely be coming back more often!

My wife and I have been here a few times, and it’s never disappointed. Our first Sunday roast here and it was all at its normal high standard! We had the lamb, while my wife had cheesecake to my crumble. The lamb was cooked beautifully and was tender; as I couldn’t have the Yorkshire puddings I got extra potatoes, they were lovely and crunchy. The crumble was really tasty and the ice cream a great counter to hot fruit. Our only slight disappointment was no cider on tap, but my wife managed to get a fruit flavoured bottled cider.

Well after three days of eating out in and around Petworth we were getting to the point of finding a McDonald's it was that bad. Then in a local pub The Black Horse in Byworth, we asked the barman where can we go to get some decent food, of which he said he goes to The Mulberry in Chiddlingfold some 14 miles away. Well what had we to loose....were we disappointed??? No. Great looking establishment, greeted by the owner and shown to our table. End to end service impeccable, well organised and customer service one of the best restaurants I have been in. Food....outstanding. All meals well presented and tasted how good food should taste, all courses were exceptional. The sirloin steak was on par with a stake I had in the Argentina Steak house in London and a fifth of the cost. If the Mulberry were closer to home and not 150 miles away I am sure I would be a regular visitor. WELL DONE TEAM MULBERRY

We go here a lot, but never review. So I want to leave an amazing review for an amazing pub and staff. The food is always excellent, the staff are just a credit to the place and themselves, and the owners could not be more friendly and accommodating. If you haven't been you are missing out on a gem in every way. Just a beautiful place and so well priced for the outstanding quality they always manage to achieve. Never had a bad meal, and we've had loads here.....

The Mulberry is by far the best pub in the area and somewhere we always return to. You won’t find the same level of customer service and attention anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble. The menu is varied with Lebanese dishes as well as British favourites. The Sunday roasts are always delicious, the garden is lovely and the team warmly welcome dogs. I celebrated my birthday with friends on Friday gone and the Mulberry team helped to make it a very special evening.

First time visiting from an hour away, lovely large garden and seating area, very clean inside of pub. Very welcoming staff, we visited for a Sunday roast and wow we was not disappointed it was amazing food! The lamb roast was beautifully cooked highly recommended.

We needed a venue mid point to meet with the family and four dogs, for a birthday meal. We booked an outside table on a Sunday so we had room and wouldn’t disturb anyone. There’s a good selection of real ales and alcohol free bottled beer for the drivers. It was a Sunday menu but there were a few other choices other than roasts so one of us had fish and chips. The food was all good and the team were happy to look after a cake for us for our daughter. I felt guilty as it stopped us ordering a desert, but they didn’t seem to mind. The only down side was the parking, as being a hot Sunday the car park was packed solid. We managed to squeeze in at peak time but it did clear out later. All in all difficult to find any fault with our visit but what made it really good was the hospitality and humour of the Italian owners and staff. Definitely will return

We celebrated a very special Birthday there last Sunday for Lunch (100th birthday!) and could not fault the food and ambiance but specially the Service. They did everything possible to make this a very special occasion for the Centenarian including providing us with ample room for the 14 of us plus babies and Dogs! - Very much appreciated and highly recommended - thank you!

A friend introduced me to the Mulberry, what a lovely pub with great food. Both inside which is very chic and the outside area where there a lovely large garden, dogs are welcomed, ate both very well laid out. There are also lovely tables on the terraces with heaters for when there is a chill in the air but still want to enjoy outside dining. They have also recently introduced a Lebanese selection, I tried the Lebanese chicken and Hummus as starter, both beautifully cooked and served. I highly recommend the Mulberry? give it a try .....

Having visited The Mulberry Inn many times over the past few years,we were surprised to see that it now has new ownership.... in fact, just a few days ago. However, we needn’t have worried. The food was superb (lunch), the wine list was perfect and the service was top class. The owner who served us comes from Napoli and had the mixture of charm and professionalism that is rarely found in England. This place is not cheap but my experience is that quality such as this is worth paying for. I will continue to recommend The Mulberry to my friends and family.

Popped into The Mulberry Inn in Chiddingford today after a visit to Petworth House, 10 mins away. We had passed it on the way and it looked interesting from the outside with some fab topiared hedging.

Lovely venue with parking, great selection of drinks, fantastic new chicken dish (cant remember the name but you have to try it!) Warm welcoming service, give it a go!

The Mulberry presents as a fine English pub restaurant but is, in fact, better than that. The cuisine is excellent, certainly the chef seems very talented. The service was great, the choice varied and the ambience was great. We were very disappointed not to have room for a pudding. Just a lovely evening, we will be back.

I ate lunch here with friends last week. The pop music in both the bar area and the dining room was so loud that I couldn't hear my friends speaking. The menu was very expensive. I went for a plate of fish and chips. The fish was fresh and well cooked, the chips were OK, the homemade tartar sauce tasted of nothing. This cost £16.50. My friend ordered sticky toffee pudding. It turned up with a large decorative smear of something across the plate which looked like excrement. The sponge pudding section was obviously out of the freezer and microwaved. This cost £7.50.

Stopped on route to our weekend cottage away at this great pub. Lemon Sole special was a treat as was my Wife’s club sandwich. Really good beer selection as well. Staff very friendly and on the ball. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

This is the second time we have been here now. The first time was for a Sunday roast. It was so good we brought friends back with us for the second visit. It was a mid week lunch. The food was perfect. The cheese soufflé was to die for. The pub is wonderfully decorated and the toilets are spotlessly clean. Will definitely be back.

We went last Saturday for my sons birthday. Food was nice albeit a little pricey for only an ok ambiance and friendly pub style service [with service charge on top ] which made some of the mains more restaurant priced than pub priced.

An OK venue. 6/10. Allegedly owned or previously owned, by a well known UK broadcaster. Easy car parking. Over priced food. Large venue. Restaurant table service was Ok once the staff focussed rather than being on moby phones.

Had an awesome meal and evening at the Mulberry Inn. Great staff, worked with us to get us a late booking for our room and accomodated us for Sunday lunch at last minute notice which was amazing.

Since the change in management there has been a marked improvement in the Mulberry. The décor has been uplifted and it is lovely sitting by the open fire and having some bar snacks. Food in the restaurant has also improved with an interesting menu and plenty of offerings to choose from. Its now our favourite place for lunch in the area.

17 of us came to celebrate a birthday at the Mulberry Inn, we were welcomed with a table laid with balloons and a private dining experience at the end of the restaurant, staff were very attentive and we never had an empty glass.

I went to dinner here last night with my wife, dad & his partner. I have to say that there wasn’t a single thing I can fault the place on. The place looked amazing and festive with comfy seating and large proper fires. Memorabilia dotted around the walls. Friendly staff. It was a good surprise to find the rare, lager HOGSTAR on tap. The smoked salmon quails scotch egg starter was amazing and so was the rest of the meal and we selected a random Rioja from the wine menu to find out that it is now my favourite wine (given 5 out of 5 on Vivino).

Enjoyed a nice family meal but with the manager dressed in his full Christmas outfit it would have been nice to have a Christmas main course of turkey and the trimmings on the menu.

From the moment we arrived we where made so welcome they took my wifes birthday cake and hid it.my daughter husband and three grandchildren came as well. Food as always excellent food nothing to much trouble.The birthday card from Rob Chris and the staff was a nice touch as well as the special pudding and decorated birthday plate.Thank you we will be back Peter xxx

I was there on Thursday night with my other half and the food was exquisite. As was the service. This place has really changed since Rob came in. Highly highly recommend. All the staff go above and beyond. And the chefs produce amazing food. To the point where I was so overwhelmed by the lengths the chefs took re my pudding I bought them a drink! Above and beyond. Seven of us went to the Mulberry Inn this weekend for a special family lunch. We were not disappointed, indeed the service and standard of the food and drinks was absolutely first class. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The entire experience was relaxed, unhurried, and the staff catered very well for the two children in our group. The lunch menu offered a good choice of options and the prices were reasonable given the standards of service and the quality of the food. I would not hesitate to come to the Mulberry again.

An excellent evening to celebrate a family member’s birthday. The food was first class and the service excellent. We were made to feel very welcome by every staff member. The birthday boy was given a complimentary dessert and a birthday card, signed by the staff. A nice touch, which was much appreciated. Overall a wonderful experience and a night to remember.

We where new to the area, our first visit, most welcoming, it was a Saturday evening and we hadn't booked, but they found us a table with easy, even though it was extremely busy. Went here for the first time in ages in the Spring (after all it is my local) when it had gone through a transformation and although there were teething issues with the menu it was fine. The second time was for Sunday lunch in the summer when it was even better and a birthday dinner last Friday was a great success and I actually didn't have food envy of other people's choices!!
