The best restaurants serving British food in Waverley South East

I visited Little Latte on a bike ride with a group of 14 people. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were able to serve us all in good time despite the large size of our group. The drinks and food (cakes and hot food) were all excellent. We sat outside in the rear garden that is shared with the adjacent pub. The setting, alongside a stream with views over the countryside, was very pleasant. We’ll definitely be going there again.

Top Nosh provided a savoury offer for our Christmas Event and were a pleasure to work with. Martin was quick to respond to any questions and helpful in advising on pitch location and practicalities. The food is superb quality and the wagu burgers were quoted as the best people had ever had! This restaurant was a most pleasent surprise - l say this because the standard and choice of food is really very good indeed- we decided to try the roast on a Thursday- the helping was generous and the chef certainly knows how to produce a high standard - l enquired how on earth they managed to produce quantities of meals of such good value and according to Kate one of the managers- it is all down to their clever buyer!! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the volunteers most pleasent and eager to please.

Went here about 12 months ago with my son for Sunday lunch. It was OK but a service charge had been added to bill. We only had the main plated meal and a few beers which were not cheap. As the bill came to £99 for the three of us and only 2 of us were drinking beer, not wine, I thought £99 was enough to pay so I politely asked for the service charge to be removed. 'What was wrong with the service? was the response of the owner. We don't go out to eat to be embarrassed or made to feel uncomfortable. We haven't been back since. Hopefully the new owners are more tolerant. We rarely pay service charges or leave tips. We are not the USA where staff are poorly paid and survive on tips. The is no minimum pay in USA unlike the UK.

June is a superb hostess. She is friendly, efficient and serves the best food. We are so grateful for all her help in making our recent event at The White Hart such a success.

Had a fantastic lunch at the Mulberry Tom at the bar who we first met looked after us fantastically I believe John the owner also always looks after us fantastically the food was amazing as always could not recommend it more. Thank you so much for looking after us all the time from Hayley and David. we so look forward to seeing you again soon, thank you.

Best roast I’ve had in a long time! Met up with family here and despite the chaos of a mix of ages and adults, everyone was more than satisfied with their food. Really lovely staff. Thank you!

My wife and I have been here a few times, and it’s never disappointed. Our first Sunday roast here and it was all at its normal high standard! We had the lamb, while my wife had cheesecake to my crumble. The lamb was cooked beautifully and was tender; as I couldn’t have the Yorkshire puddings I got extra potatoes, they were lovely and crunchy. The crumble was really tasty and the ice cream a great counter to hot fruit. Our only slight disappointment was no cider on tap, but my wife managed to get a fruit flavoured bottled cider.

We came across this beautiful pub on our way to Bognor Regis we were having a cheeky weekend away and decided to take the scenic route which was actually a very good call.We were both ready for a refreshing drink and something to eat as well as needing the rest room.We were blown away by the lovely ambience of the place with a nice fire burning and gorgeous leather armchairs so cosy.we were greeted by very welcoming smiley staff the drinks were good and the food amazing we opted for a sharing platter of maze we had not had Lebanese food before so it was a real treat.The outside was beautiful with a lovely beer garden.we definatley be going back again.

Absolutely superb meal last night.

What a great little find this cafe was! We were staying nearby and fancied some brunch so I was really happy to find this place. We both had Eggs Royale and it was fabulous. The eggs were fresh local eggs with that wonderful orange yolk as proof. The coffee there is really good also. Service was excellent, the cafe itself is really homely and there is a great selection of homemade cakes on display. I totally recommend this cafe and will come back when I’m next in the area.

I have been coming to Sweetpeas for many years. The food is excellence with a good choice at a very reasonable prices.The service is outstanding & Amir & Monica always run a very good cafe & never fail to impress. I recommend the cooked breakfast & the carrot cake is the best I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is great & there are always happy customers to be found. The cafe is very busy & I would suggest booking a table at weekends when it is especially busy. Added bonus is the free car parking in the garden centre car park. An excellent cafe worth going out of your way to visit!

Recently refurbished. Looking fantastic. Under new management. Definitely worth a visit. Tom the new landlord is doing his best to turn it around. Go on, give it a go!
