Have always enjoyed eating at the Barley Mow and did enjoy my salad this evening, but was a little surprised with the cost. £14 for the basic super food salad and I paid £5 on top for prawns, of which there were only about 6. I also went on to have a yummy pudding, but to the cost of £8.50. I know with the cost of living everything has increased but come on Barley Mow £22 for a prawn salad ?

Had a pizza for lunch. Now £12.95. Thinner than before and missing the cherry tomatoes that they used to have on top. Really bad value for money. Limited choice on pizza menu now. i asked the chef about it. he said a new menu, new prices. I said last time we have a pizza then! Now £17 for a roast dinner there as well Cheaper at Polhill, Badgers Mount.

Fabulous Sunday lunch for a family special ocasion. beautiful food, so well looked after by the manager Abdul who couldn't do enough for us even though they had a huge private event going on. Stunning views, incredible service from all waiting staff who looked after my 11 year old son and pampered him. Highly recommend.

Was looking forward to having lunch at AH but was turned away with the excuse the hotel was hired out for a conference which may be the case. However when arriving on the grounds and at Reception we were not turned away by various other members of staff or asked if we were part of the conference. It wasn't until we sat outside in the bar area that we were asked to leave. It was obvious that booked spa days and afternoon tea was allowed in. Also no reply to the online chat before arrival asking about availability. We won't return.

Only my second visit in twenty years and a lot has remained in place as a proper local pub, which is fantastic that it still exists, dart boards and a jukebox and still the most atmospheric pub in Godstone, which is full of Corporate Gastro pub clones. Yuk! Lovely ale and service from a real pub landlord. Pie and burgers hit the mark. We hope you stay in business the locals desire it.

Returned to this lovely garden centre and was warmly welcomed into the restaurant,it was early lunchtime but there was a good buzz of others enjoying their food. There is a seasonal menu and wanting a fairly light lunch we opted for the mezze platter to share. The service is first class our waitress very friendly,we ordered a beer and glass of red wine to accompany the dish. The drinks and food arrived speedily and it was delicious, colourful, and beautifully presented. Our waitress returned to check everything was ok which of course it was.We had coffee afterwards then left.We were acknowledged by all the staff working there who cheerfully said Goodbye. This is a venue not to be missed,I noticed the lunch menu, they also do breakfast and whilst there at the weekend they were serving a beautiful afternoon tea to a group of ladies…I look forward to a return visit soon…Yours Stuart…

This was not a pleasant experience. My ‘spaghetti’ with prawns and chilli arrived floating in sauce (more like a soup), the spaghetti was cut up, a spaghetti being about an inch long. There was no prawn in sight (most probably blended into the sauce). It would need a spoon to eat it. It looked like food for a toddler or out of a tin. I have never felt that I had to reject a dish but this was definitely one of those moments. I am a friendly person and I always appreciate good staff but the waitress frankly couldn’t give a dam. My husbands Wagu beef burger was burnt but he decided it was edible and didn’t complain. I was so shocked at what I had been served that I decided to skip dinner. The food is definitely a conversation topic but not in a good way.

I visited with friends on a cycle ride for coffee and cake. Views are amazing and such a beautiful garden. Great choice of food, attentive staff and good service, prices very reasonable. We sat outside soaking up some late autumn sunshine and were reluctant to depart. Loved it here, highly recommended.

Henry’s Play Cafe is so much fun for the younger children. The staff are friendly and the children can play freely in a Calm and clean enviroment. The cafe is a great addition for parents too.

Fabulous every time! Popped in for a lunchtime bite and as previously, we were met with a warm welcome from the staff. We just wanted mains and a drink and were not disappointed. My other half had his favourite of ham, egg & the best chips ever! and I had the creamy portobello mushroom linguine, deeelicious!! Quality ingredients cooked to perfection (the Bell pub grub is consistently excellent).

I had a lovely meal with family on Saturday 12 October. The service was brilliant. Bex and Jake were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We met the manager Joe, who appeared with our desserts and made sure we were all happy with our meal and gathered more drinks for us. Table 14 is in a cosy room (quite dark and could possibly do with a brighter lamp or some fairy lights) but very private for an intimate family gathering.

If you are expecting a modern and polished dining establishment , go elsewhere. This place is a true, timeless local pub. Sussex Best on tap and a merry environment that guarantees a good time for all. Would heartily recommend to those seeking a warm, rustic pub with cheerful service.

Stayed overnight at this restaurant with rooms. Room was spacious and comfortable and easy to get to as on ground level. A member of staff, Luke helped with our cases. The bar was nice, although drinks were quite pricey. The dinner was plentiful and tasty and we had a quiet table in The Snug area. It was a perfect end to a perfect trip to the UK.
