The best restaurants in Tandridge South East

Ordered a walnut and caramel cake for a birthday. Cake looked great but was so sweet and sickly we threw it away. We both love sweet cakes but this was unpalatable because of the sweetness.

A group of us arrived to be ushered to a makeshift hospitality area at the end of the course even tho we had paid £85 for the Main Grandstand including lunch in the Restaurant. It was cold - were told sit anywhere you want ?? They had no draft beer - only bottles which were not cold and Guinness in cans. Only those who complained were eventually moved over to the Main Restaurant where there were many tables still available. Although there was a self service Christmas Lunch carvery we were told to wait and we would be served personally. After over an hour having complained again we were told we would be getting Beef ?? When it arrived half of us were so hungry we ate it - the other half thought it disgusting. Those were eventually served with the Christmas Dinner but most even left this ? They then offered us Pudding or Cheese and Biscuits - we waited for so long we told them not to bother. Our Raceday totally ruined. If you must book here suggest you get assurances before wasting your money. It has to be noted however that staff under duress could not have been more friendly and tried their best to make us feel better.

If you are expecting a modern and polished dining establishment , go elsewhere. This place is a true, timeless local pub. Sussex Best on tap and a merry environment that guarantees a good time for all. Would heartily recommend to those seeking a warm, rustic pub with cheerful service.

Was originally brought in as a guest of a member, seemed like a nice environment at first, it was quiet and there were plenty of seats, when two other guests came to join, the person who I assume to be the manager was extremely rude to them and told them only members were allowed in, when they offered to pay for a membership they were rudely told to get out. Completely rude and unacceptable behaviour to customers who were willing to become members, although not quite sure why is was an issue, couldn’t quite believe it.

Westbound is never open on time, there was 4 vehicles waiting at the drive through again this morning 40 mins after opening time and there's no sign of anyone. All 4 vehicles drove away frustrated after waiting for at least 15 mins. This looks bad on costa and the place needs a good shake up.

Powdery semolina bases, very off putting. Mentioned to them but apparently it’s standard, so will go elsewhere where

We’ve been wanting to try The Old House for a while and finally we went for breakfast this morning. The lovely staff looking after us were attentive and popped back to ensure everything was ok. Great selection of breakfast choices, all food was great quality and cooked to perfection I had the plant breakfast and the veg sausages were the nicest I’ve had in a while. We looked at the lunch menu, again a great menu, we will definitely be visiting again

I had been trapped on the M25 and in need of charging my car, so whilst waiting for charge, I purchased a Mcdonalds Delux Veggie burger meal. The Bun was moistish, the veggie fingers where dry. there was hardly any sauce or lettuce. Overal it was extremely dry. The fries were luke warm. The Cappuccino was hot, but was fine, as I was thirsty and able to drink it straight away. I rarely have a Mcdonalds and this place has put me off, especially for £6.75. Staff were polite and service was quickish.

system was updating when we arrived and was a 30 minute wait… however the manager jayinil and the crew member gropi still let us order and pay after we ate as the system was taking a while ! lovely service :)

Late lunch on a Saturday so they had run out of quite a few sandwich options due to our timing but staff were friendly and apologetic. They do have a decent selection of hot food options including jacket potatoes but I went for the lunch offer for £6.50 which included sandwich, coffee from the machine with unlimited refills, and a cake. We chose the chocolate cake and it was really delicious. Kids meals vary a bit in size - the mac and cheese was quite diddy but the kids nuggets, chips and beans was a good portion. There was plenty of seating and food came out fast. Its a convenient location and lets be honest its pretty cheap. Kids eat free if an adult has a main hot meal... You get what you pay for. Its basic but it worked well with kids, its super convenient and we would eat here again.
