Caffe Nero in Tandridge - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

No smile, no friendly greeting, just sullen looks from the staff. They became terse unfriendly staff who mop cleaned all the cafe floor with bleach while many customers were still trying to enjoy their coffee at least an hour before closing time. The bleach smell was extremely strong and unpleasant. Won't be going to this Cafe Nero again.

Great coffee, lovely, friendly staff, always welcomed with a smile and a 'good morning'. Coffee made with real beans, unlike other caffes in the area and they are very welcoming for dogs, which, as a 'dog friendly nation', have always found difficult to find, elsewhere. No idea what the other reviewers have an issue with, but we go here most days and have heard nothing but favourable comments! Costa is just over the road if you prefer cold, processed coffee and no dogs! Keep up the great work guys, it can't be easy

There are many cafe's in caterham but cafe nero is my favourite. Let me explain why. Firstly we have a very well behaved dog and the only place that allows dogs is cafe nero. My dog is my family and ofen better behaved than people. I am more than happy if any dog is badly behaved they are asked to leave and infact the 18months I have been going to Nero they have once asked someone to leave, which was the correct request as the dog was barking all the time. The staff always say hello, they know our names, if anyone struggles with mobility they take the order then instruct them to sit down so they can bring the order to them. I know all their names they are always professional, yes and when they get busy i understand they need to get their head down and serve the customers ASAP so do not have time to be so chatty. I cannot praise them enough, if on the odd day you go there and it is not what I have found maybe give them a second chance we are all human. The furniture is not brand new but clean but to be honest what shines out is the staff. Thank you Caterham Nero Staff for making my days nicer when sometimes everything else in my days is not so nice.

RUDE STAFF MEMBER!! Absolutely disgusting treatment by a hostile member of staff who shouted as soon as we walked. I am simply staggered by the behaviour to the point I have taken the time to complete a review. Low and behold there was another review with exactly the same types of comments. This member of staff should not be working in. any type of customer facing role, his behaviour was abusive and completely unacceptable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I'm really fed up with the very grubby old seats in here. I don't think they've changed the dilapidated seats in 20 years, they sag, and look crusty and foul. My cappuccino was not at all hot, the cutlery was dirty too I was also surprised to see dogs in here. I do like little dogs but I do not want them where I am eating or drinking. Although they are not allowed on tables or chairs, owners are continually petting them and this is going to transfer to tables and chairs! I also have allergies to pets. All in all I don't think it's hygienic. I think it's fine if there are outside tables. But there aren't. Staff are surly. One barista glared at a man who was chatting to his friend because he was in the gangway of him carrying some rubbish out . Quite surprised at that . Out toasted teacakes were banged down hardly connected with the server. They were ok though. It's also dark at the back of the cafe which is not pleasant. It really needs overhauling (and no dogs). I'm not sure how a barista can make tepid coffee btw.I thought the machine did all that.

Terrible drinks and poor service. Drinks cold and when remade order round the wrong way and watery coffee . Must be better alternatives

I meet friends and family here often. It’s very popular and could do with being bigger. Staff very friendly.

Ran in here on a cold and wet weekday morning in the hope of having a decent cup of coffee to warm us up. We ordered at the service counter and were a little put out that we had to go back to the counter to collect our coffees rather than have service at our table. The cappuccino I had was barely drinkable and incredibly hot and the latte and Americano that the others had were not much better. The quality of coffee in many of these UK cafe chains is not up to scratch; whether this is something to do with the ingredients, the training or the brewing machines is unclear. The décor of this cafe wasn't particularly welcoming either and neither were the solemn faces of the staff. Incredibly disappointing.
