Far too many people allowed in for the facilities available, very overpriced drinks and food, a totally dissapointing experience!

Better than my last visit and the package ticket was great value. A lovely day and with it being half term plenty of families. Food and drink limited on this day but ok. Big issue for me is you can’t get high enough up to view the racing properly.

Had meal at Trackside restaurant which we chose for view of the racecourse, which was fine. The staff at the restaurant and generally were lovely but that doesn't make up for the rip-off £211 for 2 people in the restaurant. My soup was lukewarm, the sea bass like rubber and the blackberry and apple crumble had no fruit in it. My wife's meal was similarly disappointing. Won't be returning.

A lovely sunny afternoon/ eve for my daughters birthday treat. £32.50 for a jug of weak Pimms was an absolute rip off in our opinion. The ABBA tribute band well you could hardly hear the vocals so rather disappointing! Overall we had a great time

Attendance at the meeting was poor and the weather wasn't kind. However, as we were based in the Trackside restaurant, we had a lovely day out. We had fitted in a round of golf at Lingfield Park on the day before and I have to say the course and the facilities were superb.

Wonderful setting for a racecourse.Lucky to get in to the racing in these covid times.Everything strictly observed and all the staff most helpful , but the food simply awful on offer in the resturant even fast food places offer a better choice.

Lingfield was a good day out. A lovely train journey from Victoria. A lovely footpath about 600 yards up to the track from the train station. A nice course. But £6 for a poor lager in a plastic glass is not acceptable. £5 for a sausage roll as well. How do they expect people to go regular at those prices. It is not necessary to extort money from your pay in public as they are doing at Lingfield.

Toby Chandler was exceptional. His personal touch was appreciated. Staff were attentive, provided us with breakfast and were on hand if needed. The Golf was good, great course and the transition to the racing was smooth. Keep up the good work Toby.

We came to Lingfield with friends to watch the racing and have a meal. It was a very hot day and the air conditioning was very welcome. The table gave a brilliant view of the racing. The starters and desserts were ok but the carvery was quite disappointing. The service was friendly and efficient but the food let the day down a little. Having the table for the afternoon, the programme, table betting and the great view of the racing makes for a good day but the food needs an overhaul.

Visited for night racing. The staff were all very pleasent from security to bar staff etc. We had booked the trackside restaurant and on arrival the woman sorting the tables out wad a little confused. Eventually got our great table opposite the winning line. Fiona our waitress was excellen. Overall we had a great day but what let it down for me was a very poor carvery and not what i was expecting for the price they charge.

On arrival via taxi the gates were open for taking your passes and bag checks. When going through there is live music for charities, food stools and entertainment of people doing tricks. We found the pop up bar and got beers which I must stay was great and tasty so do not fear of it being flat apart from the plastic glasses. We made way to the end of the race course by champagne bar which was tables with umbrellas being a 30 C day and was mental hot. We plotted up and we had it all, bar/toilets/ booking office and stage. There is food ranging from hotdogs, burgers and noddles at approx £11 and was great even though expensive. Stage- oh yes it was take that Tribute which was incredible with everyone really enjoying themselves. Rest assure there was plenty security but was not needed. Taxi was easy, they arrive 20 minutes after booking but they won’t take pre booking as people don’t show so do not panic. It all finishes at 10.30 so order half hour before. At the end of the day I Won 4 races so can’t be bad so dig deep and review days out including evening entertainment.

Hooves and Grooves - Lingfield racecourse Saturday 28th July 2018I was disappointed that they still don't seem to have got their act together to cope with the huge crowds these events attract.Confusion and chaotic at the entrance, very stressful. Can you take in soft drinks, can you take a chair..... Absolutely ridiculous when there is hardly any seating trackside and not particularly a great welcome for people that have certain mobility issues and cant sit on the grass, what harm does a fold up chair do?! Drinks are so over priced, a small plastic cup of Pimms £7! Hardly encourages families to attend these race afternoons, or people that don't consume alcohol, if you cant take in soft drinks - but can you?, even the staff seem confused. If Lingfield park weren't so top heavy on their prices this wouldn't be an issue, but works out far too expensive to have a family day out here and you are left with a feeling of being 'ripped off'! Hot dog and chips about £7, just pure greed.Washroom facilities are abysmal, queues for the ladies horrendous, dirty toilets half way through the event, no toilet paper, and no regular cleaning staff. Why can't they hire in porta loos and more cleaning staff, all about the profit again I suppose.Outside bar ran out of lager, the only thing they could offer was Bud Light, I saw someone pay £33 for 5 beers, and they weren't even pint plastic cups. What a shame, because with just a few changes, this could be so much a better experience and a difference as operating as a 2/3 star venue, could easily up their game to a good 3/4 star venue.

and I really enjoyed this course. My husband bought our tickets online for under £35 entry. This meet started at 5pm. We arrived earlier, parked effortlessly and bought ourselves beverages. It was really nice to walk to the parade ring and be able to watch the horses before each race. The course is small and intimate, tidy and colorful. All staff we encountered were polite. Beverages and food were expensive in my own opinion. But the experience was nice, and we will definitely go again.

Only 2 staff on the downstairs bar to begin the day then as it got busier just one! Paul...who was lovely and friendly but not the quickest barman... The last race was 17:30 And with trains to our destination of London Bridge at 17:44 And 18:24 We knew we would have 30+ minutes to kill after the last race but were not concerned as usually bars at courses close 30 minutes after the last race... The last race finished. We went inside got a drink and sat down, within 5 minutes a security officer in a high vis jacket came along and said drink up please we are closing... Upon arrival in Lingfield, I was guided into a 'car park' which was in fact a grass/mud field, which appeared to be a fairly long walk from the racecourse and it was raining. I also have a disabled daughter and there was no way I'd have been able to push her through the field in the dark! I done a u-turn and carried on towards the racecourse and saw a disabled parking sign into a car park opposite the entrance. This turned out to be full of pot holes and pitch black (they had one floodlight on when we left at the end of the night)

We ventured to Lingfield races. We booked in for afternoon tea. Proved to be an excellent idea as from the moment we arrived we had a warm place in the restaurant we could base ourselves from. The £49 price which I thought was good value, included entry, race card, table for the duration and 'classic' afternoon tea. Parking is free. An enjoyable afternoon and would definitely do again. My only gripes being our tea was not served in a teapot but a hotel airpot (bit snobby I know), 8 cakes to go between three of us which doesn't divide evenly. Then unforgivably, the classic afternoon tea is not served with dairy products of any kind. Whether it be cream or butter. We mentioned it to a member of staff. She rather abruptly pointed at the food and said 'that's it there'. Lost a point right there. See I can be abrupt too.

Myself and my friends visited 10th september. We had a great day, great atmosphere. My only negative was the bar service. Very slow and quite a few bar staff were unsure of where things were and prices. We had a voucher for a free bottle of prosecco. We had to go to the bar 3 times before they had any. Apparantly waiting for it from the cellar. The doors opened at 11.30.....we first requested the prosecco at 12.30 and had already run out. Bar service aside we had an excellent day the atmosphere was great. Vernon Kay deejay ed at the end which was brilliant.

We spent the day at Lingfield park races on Saturday, and it was a total rip off. 2 portions of chips cost us £9 and a sausage roll was £5. We were in a large group and lots of them were ladies who were drinking prosecco. 1 bottle and 3 pints of lager cost £50. To cap it all they ran out of prosecco very early in the day. When they finally got some more it was warm. The bar was absolutely rammed and they had very few people serving. I will not be returning.

Paid £60 plus each for a meal in the restaurant and to watch the races. We had great views over the field and the staff were attentive but the quality of the food really let it down. We were served starters which were well presented but the prawns were so chewy. The main meal was a Carvery which was self service and although there was pleanty to eat the meal was absolutely tasteless. We have enjoyed a tastier and cheaper version at a Toby or Harvester. The dessert fared no better. We also had a jug of Pimms which cost a staggering £28. A bottle of wine which would have cost on average £17/18 was £27.50. We thought this was a rip off. As this was a very hot day and the restaurant had full length Windows which did not open we asked if the A/con was working only to be told yes but as there was too many people in the restaurant you could not feel the benefit. People were using programmes to fan themselves as it was so uncomfortable. Although we enjoyed the races the food was terrible and the price of drinks expensive. My advice...don't go to the restaurant but stay outside and buy your food from the stalls.

My husband booked a table for 4 costing £320 (£80 each) for a birthday surprise which was for a premier dining 3 course meal in premier trackside panoramic restaurant (£63) and entry + race card. The meal was awful main meal is a carvery by the way. Meat was tough vegetables very hard dinner plates very small. You have a small starter and desert served at your table but you queue in a long queue for main course. All drinks are extra and expensive Very poor for £63 each. Meal standard was poor. Restaurant very hot air conditioning on max we were told and staff and guests were still melting.Far too expensive for a carvery meal you get the same service at a Toby for fraction of the cost. Racing was fun but apart from that I was very disappointed. Advise eat elsewhere and just buy entry ticket for racing. Wouldn't go again

Booked table for 12 people for dinner and Firework display on 7th November I was very disappointed with my experience at the Trackside Restaurant at Lingfield racecourse. It was quite a shambles and the service and food was extremely poor. We waited for over 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, the hot buffet food was served at a luke warm temperature. We had requested a high chair which was not there when we arrived and this took at least 15 minutes to locate; not good when you have to deal with a hungry toddler. I got the impression that there were too many people and not enough staff to cope with the busy event. Our used plates were not cleared fast enough, and there seemed to be many untrained agency staff on duty.

Was originally brought in as a guest of a member, seemed like a nice environment at first, it was quiet and there were plenty of seats, when two other guests came to join, the person who I assume to be the manager was extremely rude to them and told them only members were allowed in, when they offered to pay for a membership they were rudely told to get out. Completely rude and unacceptable behaviour to customers who were willing to become members, although not quite sure why is was an issue, couldn’t quite believe it.
