Ordered the weekend toastie bacon & brie & ham & cheese with tea for two people total cost £20:20p. The second sandwich was fine but for the price of the bacon & brie one they should of removed the fat around the bacon and not leave it to the customer to discover when eating it.

Thought I’d come up for a late coffee today as a treat as I haven’t been for a while… huge disappointment… some work is being done and the cafe’ doesn’t look very inviting… on top of this I got here at 3 and last orders are at 4:30 but the hot food and sandwiches was already closed my disappointment and I decided to have a plain scone instead… I got given a sad little scone with butter and I had to ask for jam which was rudely given to me by the staff which weren’t welcoming at all… the scone was extremely dry and crumbled everywhere and I’m just really disappointed with my visit… it’s not what I expected at all…

Nice food, good space. Staff do everything backwards they are so slow and lack any logistics common sense its frustrating. It just needs someone to manage it correctly.

My husband and I went into the Seasons Coffee Shop at Knights Garden Centre, Chelsham today around lunchtime and for the second time in eight weeks walked out before we had our tea and a sandwich. The service is practically non-existent, long queues, staff bumping into one other as they don't seem to know what to do and when to do it. We eventually ordered tea and when we asked how long the sandwich would take as no-one was preparing any sandwiches, I was told "it wouldn't take long". When I asked what "wouldn't take long" meant, the lady taking the orders appeared to have an attitude and was irritated by my question. Perhaps this garden centre should take a leaf out of Knights Garden Centre, "The Dene" at Woldingham which is expertly managed without any problems at all. The Seasons Coffee Shop should be table managed, like Woldingham or they should be closed, rather than providing excuses for the poor management and service. GOOD FOR WOLDINGHAM.

Poor service, minimal items available from the menu only to find out when at the till paying after queuing for 20mins, massively over priced for what it is. Won’t be returning, it’s a shame it used to be good here.

The decor is good, and it's a nice quiet place for a chat over coffee / tea. There's plenty of room and a veranda outdoors which is nice in the summer. However, the food is comfortably on the "overpriced" side of the fence, the service is particularly slow (especially since they changed the queuing system), and the food is not great.

Virginia is a real keeper for Costa, done a quick and amazing oat cortado for me, and i need to mention the smile and the politeness she has served the drink to me! 5 stars.

Was originally brought in as a guest of a member, seemed like a nice environment at first, it was quiet and there were plenty of seats, when two other guests came to join, the person who I assume to be the manager was extremely rude to them and told them only members were allowed in, when they offered to pay for a membership they were rudely told to get out. Completely rude and unacceptable behaviour to customers who were willing to become members, although not quite sure why is was an issue, couldn’t quite believe it.

If you are expecting a modern and polished dining establishment , go elsewhere. This place is a true, timeless local pub. Sussex Best on tap and a merry environment that guarantees a good time for all. Would heartily recommend to those seeking a warm, rustic pub with cheerful service.
