Such a well-run, warm and welcoming establishment. Rebecca is accommodating even when it's a busy meal service. And chef Jamie -- all smiles and local good humor -- turns out fresh quality food. (Stayed here for 4 days and ate several meals.) Bonus points: Chaucer mentions the inn in his Canterbury Tales. 🙂

Visiting yesterday for first time. Enjoying catching up with my late Father’s friend for some drinks, who I hadn’t seen for 20 yrs.. When it came to paying, my elderly Mother offered to pay. She went to pay and they told her, that we had, had more drinks than we had. My friend had ordered another drink, prior to us arriving, which we didn’t know he’d order. A genuine mistake on his part, as we had been talking for over an hour, about the last 20 yrs. When leaving, my Father’s friend heard the owner say “Another con artist”. It was an actual innocent mistake, not a con, as the owner put it. If I had heard such words, I’d have certainly said something. With this in mind, none of us will be going there again.

This is now called Luna Cafe. Offering English and amazing Turkush food. We came yesterday for the first . Ordered the Turkish breakfast for 2. A huge platter arrived. Jams, bread, eggs, meat ( which I didn't eat as I'm veggie) cucumber, tomatoes and olives. And plenty of unlimited Turkush tea. Highly recommended. £16 for 2 people . We will definitely return

Was invited to test out the newenu as a VIP guest. It had an amazing vibe, Tracey had put in a lot of effort as well as the team working, a big thankyou and looking forward to return and try the new 'Big Don Burger'! Also looking forward to playing some darts as I noticed they were building a new Darts area whilst I was there.

What a lovely little country pub, friendly staff, fantastic food with great atmosphere, highly recommend Hoison Duck and Eton Mess, my partner had the Lamb Shank which the meat just fell off the bone, his sticky toffee pudding was amazing. I wish I’d captured the desserts.

My wife booked ahead to secure seating for 3 adults and child We arrived and placed inside on table The waitress was very pleasant but what we asked for she had to go back and check? I chose CotedeBoeuf Steak but was informed that this was only available at half portion at 20oz at£45 I agreed My granddaughter didn’t get her sausage and chips when we requested this to come with our starters? The biggest disappointment was my steak arriving cold and dry and overcooked I complained to the manager but she wouldn’t accept my complaint and after some uncomfortable discussion a c compromise was another steak being rib eye was suggested at a discount. Hence had to wait another 20 mins We came here as we enjoyed the Birchington branch restaurant However there was a big difference with both the service and quality of the food. A disappointing experience Will not come back or recommend this restaurant.

Came here for my parents anniversary as my dad has coeliac disease. The food was so tasty! The setting is beautiful and the choice on the menu was great. But it’s the staff that make it! They decorated the table for us, which looked fab, and when two of our party were delayed they were really accommodating. All I can say is thank you so much and I’m so glad we chose to come, and recommend the pub to everyone!

I was surprised by the prices. Egg and ham was for £16. Then I was surprised by the quality of the food. I can pay that much if the food is as good as there. What I didn't like was sitting area outside. Concrete everywhere no plants or flowers and sits was semi comfortable. Inside looks much better.
