Had a great family dinner for 18 people. The service and planning were excellent, every request was meant 👌 we order birthday cakes, these were hand made to delicious. We were given our own space in the pub and the staff were so attentive. 👌 we will be back, looking forward to seeing you all again!

Had to wait 30mins for out table. Food took an age to be served and then they bought out steak with the wrong chips, charged an extra £10 for 5 prawns on top. Served the wrong steak to us, changed it and the new one came back tough as old boots. Partner had a burger and had severe belly ache all night. Awful service and Over priced food. The Bill was a joke but hey ho live and learn… dont waste your time or money here folks 👍🏻

Used this pub many times over the last few years, pre and post Covid as it’s a good halfway meeting point for friends and family. The food was always consistent with friendly staff. Hadn’t been there for a while and it seems it’s changed hands. Ordered two drinks which the server didn’t get right. Asked for them to be changed. If you don’t eat meat (I don’t) there’s nothing much on the menus (I think there were 3/4 different menus. Why?). Finally asked what fillings their toasted sandwiches were as they weren’t stated. Server didn’t know so had to go to the kitchen. Cheese or triple cheese was the only offers. So much bread (slices about 1.5 thick) but little filling. Left feeling disappointed as paid £35 for two not very nice sandwiches and 2 soft drinks. Roll on a week and I get a £100 parking fine for using the customer car park. Apparently I should’ve registered my car at a terminal on the bar (I didn’t see one). Nor was it pointed out to me by staff. It was obvious I was disabled too. This establishment has sold its soul to a greedy enforcement company. You’re a village pub, not a top class eaterie in a busy town. That was the very last time I’ll ever go there, nor will my family and friends I meet there. Shame on you! I’ve never once been there at lunchtime and seen your pub or car park busy. Greed, greed, greed!!!

booked in here for my mums birthday , 8 of us , food superb, service brilliant and we had a good laugh with the staff especially ebony. we all enjoyed our choices of meals and desserts were lovely, very reasonable price. portions were very generous and lots of choice, we will be returning . try it you'll love it

Wish I had taken pictures of the food but I was too hungry at the time!! Truly delicious food, we stopped in mid-week for the 2 courses for £16! It was worth every single penny and even though I live in london and was just stopping by on a drive to Broadstairs we will be coming back again!! I recommend the corn bread and bbq ribs.

Wife and I went for Saturday dinner and hugely impressed. From start to finish the staff made us feel so welcome and valued. Friendly, attentive and fun! Food amazing and great value. Highly recommend the nachos, steaks and trio of pudding!! Will definitely be going back and will be recommending to friends and family!

Took the youngest here for lunch. Dog friendly and good staff. Food was nice and there was plenty of parking. Good spot.

Came for lunch and the lack of anyone else eating should’ve been a warning sign but we persisted anyone. Ordered drinks, I had a Guiness which was disgusting. It tasted very sour and I had to send it back, sadly the second pint was no better so it was kindly swapped for a different beer which was unfortunately flat in a very tired and worn glass. We ordered food which came out quickly and hot, but sadly those were the highlights. I had the burger which was unbelievably dry and the chips tasted like they desperately need to change the oil in the fryers. Partner had chicken bites which were good, as well as mac and cheese that was powdery and bland. Condiments came out in little milk bottles which is cute, but the dried, congealed mayonnaise around the top of the bottle was quite off putting. Overall staff were not unfriendly, but equally they weren’t warm and welcoming. My partner had previously been before and highly recommended this place but we were both very disappointed on this occasion. I’d give this pub another chance for a drink but I definitely wouldn’t go back for food.

Most delicious Sunday lunch. Huge proptions, abundant choice of food. Most of all great value and pleasant staff Travelled from North Yorkshire to be with family and will definitely visit again. He of place!

Had the lunch menu. Me and the girlfriend both had the burgers thinking they was the same burgers as from the main menu. But they wasn't. Both had no cheese or bacon( i mean who has no cheese with a burger?) A tiny bit of relish. I had Jacket potato with mine. Completely dry no butter with it. And the bill still manged to come at 48quid for 2 considering was ment to be a deal I didn't think so at all. One top of that gave us belly ache. Not impressed at all!

I visited this establishment over Christmas with my husband and kids. The service was incredible, my server Katie was very delightful and the other server Francesca was great entertainment for my kids. She was cheery and bright and the southern fried chicken stack blew us away.

Great choice for carnivorous folks and veggie option was highly rated by my other half who is constantly unimpressed with good veggie options. Need to get the front window fan fixed when it's raining outside you get wet inside when large lorries come past if you sit in that one spot, we was just unlucky.

Service really poor 45mins for 2main courses asked after 30mins when food was likely to be served told they were just plating up then took another 10mins to arrive we were just about to leasve at this point when we made a complaint we were told it was because they had a table of eight and four but we weren't told there could be a delay yes we did arrive 10mins early however if we were informed then that would have been acceptable will we eat here again definatly NO

Met family there last night for dinner. Booked in for 6, arrived bar-restaurant fairly quiet, given the table by the window at the back, it was really dark, struggled to read the menu, and it was absolutely freezing in there. Staff did let us move table which was a little better but still uncomfortably cold. Staff where extremely good, very attentive, we had chicken wings, prawns & pork belly bits, which where all lovely. Kids had Mac & cheese which went down well, also kids meal was chicken tenders, coating was quite chunky and dark, my grandson said burnt. Main courses I had chicken stack the others all had the ribs… the portions are huge, nobody could finish . The only suggestion I would make would be salad garnish or peas, just to break it up a bit. Grandson had jelly and ice cream and loved it. Rest of us to full for pudding. I definitely would say whack the heating up.

Awesome burgers at The Cow Shed. Tasty beef and fab fries. Nice little touches like old fashioned milk bottles for the ketchup and mayo, a cheese request was immediately sorted out, excellent value all round with the "2 courses for £32" lunch offer. Lovely staff and non-Neame beers. (Dog friendly)

Food is lovely and the staff so friendly. Belly pork ends are one of my favorites a d the ribs are amazing. You can taste the smokey flavour all through the meat not just in the sauce. Varied selection of cask ales and some nice Brixton beers. Sunday roasts are great and huge! Staff always go that extra mile to make you feel part of the family, dog and child friendly.

What a great find! Service was outstanding - really warm welcome as we arrived and a great pub atmosphere. The food lived up to expectations - perfectly cooked, super tasty and a great portion size. And very reasonably priced. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Happened across this place by accident and it was great, the staff were great fun, engaging and knowledgeable about the menu and they even upsold us a few bits, the food was great, the pork belly burnt ends especially not to be missed! Its a shame I doubt I'll be passing by any time soon but would defo visit again. The strangest thing was guy figured our friend was visiting from Australia before we had even said anything....

Came across this pub when on the hunt for Sunday roast and so glad we did. Excellent staff that were welcoming and friend. Mainly a meat menu (unsurprisingly as it’s called the Cow Shed!) but still had veggie gravy when requested. We had roast dinners and they did not disappoint, so yummy I forgot to take a photo. They were accommodating with food variation like no butter on the veg or two plates for the kids to share their food and our requests for extra apple sauce for our large group 😊. They have super cute events on the lead up to Christmas with gingerbread decorating and Santa coming for breakfast! The team also do pop up catering. I would suggest this to anyone needing a place for food without the loud music and still load of character, locals and atmosphere. P.S try the Frickles I dare you!

Excellent table service, extremely tasty food ,all of our dishes were cooked to perfection,but and it's a big but the prices are a little on the high side .

Brilliant atmosphere, decor was amazing. people who own/work were so welcoming and friendly and helpful, food was incredible very yummy! definitely worth the money, quality of the food is what your paying for. we will definitely be back! thank you emma and charlie for this morning

WOW, I can confidently say that was the best breakfast I have ever had. I paid £13.50 and i would personally say it was worth more. The customer service was outstanding from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Thank you Emma and Charlie for the most perfect welcome x

One of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. Food was cold the burger was horrible. Had to wait 2 hours

Don't bother! After an hour's wait for our starters a member of our group went and enquired at the bar as to how much longer they might be, they then miraculously appeared. Then guess what another hour passed and still no mains! The food was fine, but the waiting just ruined the whole experience. A twenty minute wait for each drink order on top of that just isn't acceptable.

Food is absolutely amazing!!! I had the pie which was massive and full of delicious filling😁 The staff were so nice and helpful! And to top it off most of the menu is gluten free so perfect for my coeliac sister. Would recommend highly✨️

Me and my 2 daughters all really enjoyed our meal, staff were all lovely, will definitely go back.. Gluten free menu is amazing! All can be seen online, chef is coeliac & the menus pretty much all gluten free apart from a few things the pies I know are one of the things.. Highly recommend xx

Amazing… we had a fabulous meal on Saturday night, best burgers we have ever eaten, the meals were beautifully presented and they catered for individual requests. It was Oktoberfest and the team were dressed to impress, it was a busy and friendly atmosphere, with brilliant live music and fabulous beers. We will most definitely be back.

Second chance first impression job? Never again staff where polite, breakfast was well overpriced and small hash browns where soaked in grease nobody in there still took 40 minutes for my dissapoinment to come out 3 breakfast 6 pints 88 pound extremely over priced won't be going back or recommending

Really great pub here! The food was divine and the garden is a good size, came here for a friends birthday I would deffo recommend. Only missing 1 star simply because my food order was missed and took a fair while to get it but everyone else was served promptly 😊 They also have the alcohol free gin which was lovely to see as not many places have the 0% options

Wow! What a find! We were very kindly invited to an event at The Cow Shed. Brilliant people, brilliant venue and fantastic food. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. What not to love! Thank you so much 🙏👍

Ordered 2 fillet steaks with fries. Arrived with no colour e.g., no garnish. Mushrooms or grilled tomatoes would have been nice. Although the steak was cooked to perfection the dish lacked the WOW factor! Friendly staff.

Ribs were 10/10- genuinely AMAZING! We had the lunch deal and the main was like a school dinner, cheap white plate and tiny portion, lunch mains are significantly smaller eg my burger was 1 party and no bacon although this isn’t stated anywhere. When asked about this we were told lunch mains are adjusted to reflect the offer price but nobody told us and this was not on the menu. Service was very slow although nice, waited 30 mins for a starter.

This is such a magical place to eat. Friendly staff, who are always welcoming and smiling. The food is the BEST steak we have eaten and always served with attention and care for us. Many places try to be what the team here are and they don't do it as well. We have introduced people here and they have gone back because the team make you feel welcome. You enter a customer and leave as family. Thank you EVERYONE for being so brilliant at what you do.

Staff were great and welcoming from start to finish. They were attentive and chatty, which we found comforting. They even took time out to greet our dog and make sure she was looked after bringing her treats and water. Ordered some starters, but they were out of the pate. Offered a replacement of Margherita Prawns which sounded intriguing. Food arrived promptly and I had ordered Fire Hustler Chicken; spicy chicken thighs and they packed a punch. Rare nowadays as a lot of places seem to whimp out when they put 'fiery' on the menu, but these certainly didnt. And they were seasoned perfectly. Very tasty! The Margherita Prawns were nicely done, and accompanied by a Tequila dunking shot. Struggled to fit the Prawns in the glass, but I loved the inventive nature of the dish. We both went for the Old Speckled Hen Fish and Chips. I'll admit I was sceptical when it arrived as it looked to be overdone, but it became clear it was just the colouring from the batter. The fish was perfect. The batter was some of the best I've ever tasted. The chips and accompaniments were all lovely too. We really enjoyed the perfectly seasoned and balanced mains, and the portion sizes were bang on. Overall, fantastic service, fantastic drinks, fantastic meals - what more is there to say! Even the informational menus and documents on the tables prove that they are doing things right and engaging with the community around them by hosting themed nights, or offering services for hen parties, christenings, and even wakes! We're down here on holiday and we're certainly hoping to be able to return to this brilliantly run venue. If I could give an extra star, I would.

An amazing pub! We had an amazing burger - the best one ever in the UK! The team was friendly, lovely and very efficient, and the X5 live band who performed on 13 July was wonderful. Congrats to all!

We held our daughter’s 1st birthday gathering at the ship and it was amazing. Charlotte couldn’t do enough to help us and the food was absolutely spot on. I would recommend to anyone who needs a venue for a function! Thanks to the cow shed team for making our day enjoyable and memorable

Food always good, nice portions too

1st time and last time having a meal here. Was booked in for 1:15pm and wasn’t served our food until 2pm Ono (that’s just our starters) when our started came we had to eat it without cutlery! Our mains didn’t come out until mabye gone 3pm. Food wasn’t great, lamb tasted off and the veg was very undercooked. Staff were lovely just not enough of them to keep up with everything. Was told we would get socks for each dad with our meal but we had to ask after being in the restaurant for over 3hrs. Wouldn’t recommend. 5 starters and 6 mains and mabye 6 drinks came to £199 which is ridiculous and had to pay a £19 service charge too!

After having some lovely meals here in the past, I booked The Ship for Father’s Day lunch. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table that was cramped into a corner, any time we or the neighbouring tables needed to leave, we had to stand up and move out the way as they were so close together. Most disappointingly, we had to wait 1 hour 30 mins for the food to arrive after ordering, despite being phoned on three occasions previously to confirm and preorder our food. We weren’t given an apology or explanation for this, and this appeared to be the same for the neighbouring tables. The food itself was also underwhelming. The veggie roast I ordered was very dry and overcooked, but the roast potatoes were slightly hard in the middle still. I didn’t feel able to say anything as I had no idea how long it would take for it to be fixed. I hope this was a one off issue as I’ve never experienced service like that before here but I hoped for an apology or explanation given the length of time we had to wait.

We arrived late and without a booking. The pub was quiet but very nice and a lovely garden too.

We was visiting Faversham by train for the first time and became a little peckish, after searching we found this place just a short walk from the town centre. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. Everything from that point onwards was absolutely perfect, staff 👍👍 waiting time 👍👍 food delicious 😋. Next time we're hoping for a Sunday visit so we can have the Sunday roast.

Have eaten here before and the food was lovely. Good portion sizes and good quality. However, had lunch here today and it was truly awful. Food portions were small and just dumped on the plate, no presentation thought of. Came to our mains and we were told that they didn't have half of what we had ordered, despite taking our orders 45mins beforehand. It was blamed on the manager, from our waitress, and the bank hoilday weekend. Waitress also didn't know the menu, and became quite rude when we asked questions about our food etc. Definitely not worth the prices they command. After speaking to the manager they clearly didn't want to try and resolve their mistakes. Completely unprofessional. Do not even bother eating here you will be very disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Amazing breakfast! We visited for breakfast during by chance, one of the Doggy Brunch sessions held at the beginning of each month. We know the Ship is dog friendly so was taking ours anyway but the event meant some others were there too. We had the full English breakfast, this comes with bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, crispy potato, one mushroom (my photo shows two but I've got my sons one too!) and toast. Everything was quality and so flavoursome, by the end I was satisfied and had enjoyed a delicious breakfast, not cheap but as others have said you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and engaging, thank you for and lovely start to the weekend.

We chose this pub as have been there before and the food and service were great. The food,when it arrived was lovely, which is a definite plus! However, unfortunately tonight the service was absolutely diabolical. I don't know if the waitress was new,but took 39 minutes or so to take our order (and it was not busy), the meals then took too long to be served, and it didn't get any better with desserts. Had the waitress either informed that she was new, or that she would be with us shortly, then fine. A shame, as while the food was great, will not be returning for a while.

Lovely place for food or a drink

What a gem of a place in Faversham. Went here for a steak, wasn’t expecting too much but OH MY the steak was perfect. Lots to choose from on the menu but they specialise in steaks…. So happy they had a cheese sauce too. Our dog was also welcome and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was quick. Went back a month later to see if the first excellent time was a fluke, but no…. Another excellent dinner. Highly recommend a visit, easily accessed just off the A2 and plenty of parking.

Just had a fantastic experience at The Cow Shed with my partner - stopped in for a bite to eat and walked away after one of the most delicious dining experiences we've had for a long time! The service was fantastic - we had every need catered for by friendly and attentive staff :D The food is absolutely remarkable - it's hearty, rich and super flavourful (the Southern Chicken Stack is a standout, absolutely recommended) A hidden gem in Faversham, so definitely don't miss out on this one! Really disappointed today. Ate here just over a week ago and the food quality is poles apart. The first time it was outstanding and the portion size was huge, this time food way smaller and presentation was poor, half my chips were undercooked. Raved about it the first time and convinced people to go but wish i hadn’t

Friendly staff, fast service and good food

Absolutely wonderful. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, efficient and just pretty cool! The food was amazing and affordable and the puddings are still being talked about! Atmosphere is cozy and we all had a really great time. Went for a 24th birthday and took our young kids too. They were more than happy to decorate our table with the balloon I’d brought in earlier and the regulars joined in with singing happy birthday. Perfect night. Can’t wait to go again. Thank you all!

Amazing food and brilliant service. We have visited on a few occasions for lunch/ dinner and always loved it, but this was the first time for breakfast. Not the cheapest place in town but you get what you pay for... Quality ingredients and very generous portions, staff were very attentive without crowding so felt very comfortable. Will definitely visit again

Staying at the campsite painters farm up the road found this for my boyfriend's birthday. Menu looked good as we are meat eaters 😂 great service, great food, couldn't do enough for you. Would recommend to anyone in the area

Me and my adopted dad had a lovely meal here, genuinely think they could be the greatest triple cooked chips I've ever had. They weren't cooked once, they weren't cooked twice, they were cooked thrice. The frickles (deep fried pickles) are honestly better than winning the lottery. I love my dad. Also the toasties are banging and the meat stack was unbelievable, so much meat and cheese. I also love Jeremy Corbyn but not as much as my dad. *REVIEW UPDATE* The sticky toffee ends sundae is a custard filled creamy mouth explosion and my daddy is happy. The brownie brought joy to my life and my dad's mouth 👄😺 Manchester United 4-3 Liverpool Dad refused to pay though so now unadopted, can anybody hear me?

Friendly helpful staff, wide range of excellent food, something for everyone. Good range of beers ,lots of different gins and cocktails . I would highly recommend a visit , you won't be disappointed.

We have had many breakfasts while at The Ship when we are working on site near there with the work lads and I have had quite a few meals with my family in the evenings too. The food and service have always been spot on and id highly recommend it to anyone. We feel like locals now too as Rochelle and the other staff members always make you feel so welcome. Thanks Guys 😊

Excellent food, especially good for coeliacs, with most items on the menu naturally gluten free. Lovely staff, reasonably priced and good quality wine and super cocktails too. Will be back again soon!

Wow! The food was very yummy. We came here to celebrate the finally 2 month stretch of my pregnancy, and can I just say, the food is amazing. Everything looked good, tasted good and was well presented. Our waitress was very attentive too The atmosphere was very nice too, the type of place you want to eat lunch/dinner with your family. I’m very surprised how quiet this place was at lunchtime today, considering how amazing and impressed we were with everything.

Lovely meal, the hostess summer was really friendly and attentive! Kids food was really well portioned and great quality. My only criticism Is that the children’s nuggets where thigh meat and portioned like a breast which may put off some children even if it was still delicious. Would definitely come back. The house burger was really good quality.

Another amazing Sunday lunch!!! Portion size is generous, freshly cooked meat, and roasted veg and staff that go above and beyond as alway!!! As a regular, popping in for a drink after work on a weekday to see a friendly face makes this my local. The food is a definite bonus!!

Good beer and food even the garden is nice to site in on a warm day. Came with large group of pals and all catered for very well, food came out hot and well worth waiting for. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Marking as 1 × * As utterly disappointed with the inderhanded way people are trapped with parking fines. I've read recent reviews and have found out we are not the only ones to be treated this way. Appealed and proved when parking at your pub my partner HAD made purchases BUT agency still demanded £20 desprate to make it go away we have paid. I don't know what you make out of the parking fines but as residents of Faversham who will NEVER set foot in your pub again you have lost more than you gain by fining people who have used you. I understand you are stopping people just parking there. Your staff should be trained properly when greeting customers to ask EVERY person who sets foot in the door if they have parked and are they aware they need to regester their registration with you. This is not a big ask unless you are hoping you will gain financially by avoiding mentioning it. People forget, people are busy and don't always see or are aware a pub car park has cameras, its darker earlier also. The impression we now have and will tell people we know is that you are clearly out for all you can get money wise even if someone has proof they had visited they are still held to ransom for money which is wrong. You have gained your share of £20 I hope you are happy with that as you wont ever get another penny out of us.

Very good family run pub. Brilliant food and good price for what you receive. They play BT sport's and have lots of good events regularly like live bands, and themed nights. They have a very good quiz on a Tuesday night that's always busy highly recommend this pub and the staff are brilliant. They also allow dogs in the pub what's always a good thing.

Went to the Halloweenies event with our little one and he loved it! The ‘bloody’ pancakes he had were delicious (he ate it in a flash - that’s how we knew 😂) and he was intrigued by all the attractions 😊 our Eggs your way and Avocado on Toast were delicious! I only had a portion of chips, they were hollow, no potato inside, maybe the cook was having an off day, they wasn't very good, and you paid £4 for half a hand full of chips.
