Lovely friendly pub & staff. Food was fantastic.

Worst dining experience in a long time. Wait for food was well over an hour and charged for two non dining babies. Rip off! And no steaks! Will not be returning

The first time it was outstanding and the portion size was huge, this time food way smaller and presentation was poor, half my chips were undercooked. Friendly staff, fast service and good food

Amazing food and brilliant service. We have visited on a few occasions for lunch/ dinner and always loved it, but this was the first time for breakfast. Not the cheapest place in town but you get what you pay for... Quality ingredients and very generous portions, staff were very attentive without crowding so felt very comfortable. Will definitely visit again

Staying at the campsite painters farm up the road found this for my boyfriend's birthday. Menu looked good as we are meat eaters 😂 great service, great food, couldn't do enough for you. Would recommend to anyone in the area

Me and my adopted dad had a lovely meal here, genuinely think they could be the greatest triple cooked chips I've ever had. They weren't cooked once, they weren't cooked twice, they were cooked thrice. The frickles (deep fried pickles) are honestly better than winning the lottery. I love my dad. Also the toasties are banging and the meat stack was unbelievable, so much meat and cheese. I also love Jeremy Corbyn but not as much as my dad. *REVIEW UPDATE* The sticky toffee ends sundae is a custard filled creamy mouth explosion and my daddy is happy. The brownie brought joy to my life and my dad's mouth 👄😺 Manchester United 4-3 Liverpool Dad refused to pay though so now unadopted, can anybody hear me?

Friendly helpful staff, wide range of excellent food, something for everyone. Good range of beers ,lots of different gins and cocktails . I would highly recommend a visit , you won't be disappointed.

Service was excellent from both Kate and Rochelle. Ordered the Chicken Kiev from the specials menu which was huge and extremely good. Will definitely be eating here again

We have had many breakfasts while at The Ship when we are working on site near there with the work lads and I have had quite a few meals with my family in the evenings too. The food and service have always been spot on and id highly recommend it to anyone. We feel like locals now too as Rochelle and the other staff members always make you feel so welcome. Thanks Guys 😊

Excellent food, especially good for coeliacs, with most items on the menu naturally gluten free. Lovely staff, reasonably priced and good quality wine and super cocktails too. Will be back again soon!

Wow! The food was very yummy. We came here to celebrate the finally 2 month stretch of my pregnancy, and can I just say, the food is amazing. Everything looked good, tasted good and was well presented. Our waitress was very attentive too The atmosphere was very nice too, the type of place you want to eat lunch/dinner with your family. I’m very surprised how quiet this place was at lunchtime today, considering how amazing and impressed we were with everything.

Lovely meal, the hostess summer was really friendly and attentive! Kids food was really well portioned and great quality. My only criticism Is that the children’s nuggets where thigh meat and portioned like a breast which may put off some children even if it was still delicious. Would definitely come back. The house burger was really good quality.

Another amazing Sunday lunch!!! Portion size is generous, freshly cooked meat, and roasted veg and staff that go above and beyond as alway!!! As a regular, popping in for a drink after work on a weekday to see a friendly face makes this my local. The food is a definite bonus!!

Good beer and food even the garden is nice to site in on a warm day. Came with large group of pals and all catered for very well, food came out hot and well worth waiting for. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Food is lovely and the staff so friendly. Belly pork ends are one of my favorites. Varied selection of cask ales and some nice Brixton beers. Sunday roasts are great and huge! Staff always go that extra mile to make you feel part of the family, dog and child friendly.

Marking as 1 × * As utterly disappointed with the inderhanded way people are trapped with parking fines. I've read recent reviews and have found out we are not the only ones to be treated this way. Appealed and proved when parking at your pub my partner HAD made purchases BUT agency still demanded £20 desprate to make it go away we have paid. I don't know what you make out of the parking fines but as residents of Faversham who will NEVER set foot in your pub again you have lost more than you gain by fining people who have used you. I understand you are stopping people just parking there. Your staff should be trained properly when greeting customers to ask EVERY person who sets foot in the door if they have parked and are they aware they need to regester their registration with you. This is not a big ask unless you are hoping you will gain financially by avoiding mentioning it. People forget, people are busy and don't always see or are aware a pub car park has cameras, its darker earlier also. The impression we now have and will tell people we know is that you are clearly out for all you can get money wise even if someone has proof they had visited they are still held to ransom for money which is wrong. You have gained your share of £20 I hope you are happy with that as you wont ever get another penny out of us.

Very good family run pub. Brilliant food and good price for what you receive. They play BT sport's and have lots of good events regularly like live bands, and themed nights. They have a very good quiz on a Tuesday night that's always busy highly recommend this pub and the staff are brilliant. They also allow dogs in the pub what's always a good thing.

Went to the Halloweenies event with our little one and he loved it! The ‘bloody’ pancakes he had were delicious (he ate it in a flash - that’s how we knew 😂) and he was intrigued by all the attractions 😊 our Eggs your way and Avocado on Toast were delicious! We would definitely recommend because it’s brilliant to see the variety of events and effort put into the events! Scott and little one say thank you too 😊

I only had a portion of chips, they were hollow, no potato inside, maybe the cook was having an off day, they wasn't very good, and you paid £4 for half a hand full of chips.

Very friendly pub with good selection of drinks. Food looks good, but we haven't tried it - yet! If you use the car park, make sure you register your number plate at the bar!

We had some lunch here. The food was good and the young lady Summer who was serving us was really excellent! Most of the dishes are beef b It wasn't very loud around the time we were there. Had a good chat and later on we found out that one of us won a raffle too! It was an added bonus! They were getting ready for the Halloween!

Fantastic friendly atmosphere, the herd are really welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. My steak was cooked to perfection, the hubby's burger looked awesome & the onion rings were to die for! We got our deserts to take away. The Shed is alsobvery dog friendly. Highly recommend & will definitely be back! Thank Moo for looking after us 🐄❤️

Ordered plain food no seasoning due to allergies. Food came with a lot of salt and pepper on it. I get they want you to drink more. So adding this will encourage it. Now im paying the price of having too much seasoning on a meal. Food was cooked properly. Please listen when asked for plain food. Let your customer's do the seasoning themselves.

Drove in to the Ship Inn (Cow Shed) at Ospringe, Faversham to be greeted by a cool idea on managing free loading car park abusers! Registered on the touch screen and boom! Seated within a minute. Kate our server, bubbly and polite was very accommodating to our menu deviations (family trait 🤣) - and took our order for breakfast efficiently and attentively. Food was delivered timely and accurately! Which is always a great touch. Everyone devoured the breakfast and was stuffed by the over sized portions. Well done everyone - definitely a spot to revisit. Put it on your list!

Since our last visit I have found the food very expensive. Although only having a light lunch. I think 4.50 for a small bowl of no more than 15 chips pricey

First time at The Cow Shed for Sunday roast. Fab food and great service, and lovely people. We will be back! 😋

Great service, great food! We were an impromptu party of 11, and I’d say a dysfunctional group at best. But this place delivered exactly what we were after and weren’t phased. I didn’t catch our waitress name but she was friendly and bubbly and nothing was too much trouble, she was Knowledgeable about the menu, and made personalised recommendations. (The pork burnt ends were insane!!!) And desserts were all home made! And a massive hearty portion. I wish the dessert menu had been on the main menu as I may have saved some extra room. If we’re in the area we will 100% be back.

Excellent Food Service Atmosphere

We got pinged with a £100 fine for parking in The Cow Shed car park (the enforcement notice actually calls it the Cow Shed car park. We parked right next to the pub, didn't see any signs nor had any reason to believe in sleepy Ospringe that the pub car park could even possibly be the type of car park where a fine could be possible. We were not told or warned once in the pub either. I would never come at lunchtime again and get stung in such a ridiculous way. UPDATE: I note the establishment's response. We did NOT see the signs and from Google Q&A, we are not the only ones. I have appealed the fine and it has been denied but the levy reduced to £20. We can appeal, (noting we provided evidence that we ate at the pub), but if we lose, the "fine" - aka private company fee, we have to pay £100. So despite a very genuine mistake and a very genuine use of the car park to eat at your pub, we are effectively forced to pay £20 for the privilege. A lesson in how not to treat your customers. It has really left a bad taste (forgive the pun).

I booked for a party of 21 with hot and cold buffet food everything was amazing and all tasted freshly homemade the staff are so welcoming and friendly and a lovely garden to sit in after also catered for someone with sever allergies the staff took this seriously and was so helpful and a very big Thankyou to Kate (the pink griffin)for the beautiful balloons and Rochelle for all your help

Food was ok, but the service was awful from start to finish. Such a shame, I have been there this year and it was great, but this recent visit has put me off and I won’t be going back.

Excellent food and service, cannot fault any of it. I could add though, if you got some Bourbon Whiskies in, such as Makers Mark or Woddford Reserve amongst others, this would really complement your menu and vibe!

Popped in for lunch with my wife on BH Monday. We had 3 courses. The whole meal was excellent, the Beef brisket wedge I would thoroughly recommend and the home made desserts were delicious. We recieved fantastic service from the staff and the ambience was great. We're definitely going back again. Thank you all for a great afternoon.

Was not sure at first...but soon realised it is a very friendly local pub with an excellent food service. The Sunday lunch was absolutely scrumptious and the other food was so good. We rolled out very full and very happy...and it was pretty reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, I won't be returning. The pub was fine, good food options. We were unlucky that a big group arrived at the same time as us, meaning that the wait for food was long, and when it did arrive it was cold. When I booked, I'd been assured that I had the table until 4pm, but was asked to leave at 3pm because there was another booking, so we couldn't order the dessert we wanted

Lovely food and staff, highly recommend

We booked for Christmas Day lunch for ten of us including two small children for which we pre- paid. We waited one and a half hours for the first course without any explanation of the delay. We then proceeded to wait another hour until the children’ main course finally arrived. The were passed eating it and were becoming bored. Their father decided to take them home having his dinner as a take away, which was totally unsatisfactory on Christmas Day. We were eventually given an expiation which was the Bain Marie had broken down. Why were we not given this explanation when we arrived? We eventually finished our meal some three and a hal hours after arriving. Very disappointing especially as we had visitors from Germany. They also added gratuity to final bill and offered a bottle of wine as compensation. Not what we expected at all.?

Too small to have so many tables. We’re crammed into a corner all 9 of us. Waited ages for food to arrive which was very nice but the forest fruit pavlova was a big disappointment just a big meringue with cream on top & comoletly hollow

This was the first time that we had been here although it is only 10 mins from our house. We had the sharing camembert and I had the roast chicken and my husband had the pork belly. The plates were full of meat, veg and roast potatoes - a proper Sunday roast dinner. All delicious! My husband said that the pork belly was quite fatty but he enjoyed it. The camembert was served with lovely crusty bread. We were too full for pudding but I would have chosen the apple and blackberry crumble. The waitresses were helpful and polite. We will definitely be going there again, maybe with some of the younger family next time.

What a fabulous pub; family-owned, recently taken-over. I was working in the area for two nights and popped in here for a nightcap on the first night, to be greeted by warm & friendly staff. I returned the second night and was immediately greeted and thanked for returning. Took part in the app-based quiz night and it was great fun (thanks Issy)! Staff and locals were SO friendly. Well done to the new owners for enhancing this community pub and welcoming visitors so warmly. I almost felt like a local after two nights!

Popped in mid afternoon on a walk out. Got a lovely welcome from proffesional staff. Good atmosphere. Gather this is in new hands recently and offering a great new menu for meat lovers. Enthusiastic management keen to chat. Had good pint, and will give it a go for food next time.

Great meat options but the glazes/sauces that cover the meat were too overpowering and sweet. They could totally serve this with an option of no glaze and it would be amazing because the quality of the meat and slow roasting is so good.

Had lunch here yesterday. A very good experience. Had the veggie burger as main and hummus/beans/olives with bread for starters. all food was amazing. Wine and beer reasonably priced. The best was the staff.....friendly, attentive and overall brilliant service. We thoroughly recommend it.

Can't fault the new management/staff at all. Always teething issues when trying to fill someone else's boots, but they've made every effort to introduce their variation into the mix. Very accommodating to every need - new and exciting menu - and many events on various nights of the week! I'd fully recommend their quiz night. I hear local team Pocket Rockets are making their way up the league table as we speak!

Had a really nice meal with the family last night. Everyone enjoyed their food and the staff were really attentive. I must recommend the beef brisket absolutely delicious. Definitely be paying the cow shed a second visit soon.

Decent food but for what it is it's a little pricey especially the drinks. Staff are excellent, can't fault the service but it was fairly quiet. Can't afford to rush back too often. Pity, good atmosphere, maybe for a drink only.

Changed hands not Impressed , found out after walking a long way to what was my favourite pub to order Seafood platter that the previous owners would make for me or my usual Seafood fish pie and a great real ale only to find out it had changed hands , not a problem I thought until I saw the menu and it was virtually all beef half a Cow on a plate type menu, which I can't eat and is way too heavy for a summer lunch , they offered me veggie burger as an alternative which absolutely I hate! or prawn covered In a garlic sauce which I hate too ! Nothing light no sandwiches no salads and not many people eating ata One staff approached me to asked why I didn't want to eat there!? I wasn't aware it was compulsory to eat at a pub if I didnt like the menu , I don't do massive cow portions or beef she said they had fish and chips but I can have that anywhere and it's not my thing anyway I don't like fish and chips as a poor alternative to what i usually have there . She was rude to me saying they would need a bigger kitchen to do the sort of menu I was looking at and I said the landlord and landlady that was there before did exactly that menu In that self same kitchen and was packed on every table with food when they had the pub , She said what sort of food did I have there before and I said Seafood platter or fish pies with large amount of steamed vegetables and she said the previous owners never did that and tried to make me out to be a liar i said I'm not going to discuss it any further cos she had upset me . I told her I didn't have to eat there and if she didn't like criticism or feedback she shouldn't apporach customers she told me that was a two way thing, it insulting to be told to youre wrong not to like their menu ..only I'm not in charge of the food she is so it's a one way thing for them to do food people want and to change on feedback and about why they aren't eating in their pub . I had a good mind not to pay for my drink and leave I was so upset and rilled by her attitude but I did pay for my drink and will never go back there ever again . I suggest you swerve this pub... I am a mystery shopper for a good pub guide and I won't be giving them any stars in fact minus for the way I was treated I don't expect to be talked to like that !.. spilt my day out .
