Great cheap booze friendly staff nice couple of hours

Grim in a word avoid without fail and find a nicely run pub with grown ups behind the bar and a decent menu and decor.

If you're looking for sticky carpets, poo on the toilet seats, drunk bar staff, underage drinking and a fight at the end of the night this is the pub for you.

Bar staff were drunk/drugged and didn't really know or care what was going on around them (including underage drinking). Smelly, disgusting toilets, I complained but nothing changed. Security present but useless, there were many drunken morons causing trouble but no action to stop it. I wont be back, avoid.

Like it when ya daughter turns up 4 a trial 4 a job and all she gets is contact you and messages the owner or manager then gets no reply to if got the job thats rude

Possibly the most unfriendly pub I've ever been to, the staff are just plain mean. Don't bother.

New owners have taken over, clearly travelling family, use of drugs clear to see bar staff drinking on the job, XL bullie been seen, lady clasped in toilets and was over the Facebook page, a real shame was a lovely pub, stay well clear. You email head office and the so called manger of the pub just turned a blind eye all he's worried about is the pub making money 💰 police have been contacted

Not great, could do with a tidy up

No food. There was a large group of us meeting but we left after 1st round due to no food. Won't be rushing back. Gone downhill since last owners.

It's literally the only place in Faversham to dance. This place hasn't changed much over the years, always a great atmosphere.

Busy venue for a wide range of ages. Keep an eye out for live music and DJ nights. Shape of the pub is quirky and allows for quieter corners if required and plenty of dancing room. Overall a good thumbs up.

If that would have been an option I would give no star. The Staff are racist against anyone that is not English. It was before the closing time (I get this) but while we were talking to the security guy, another group of 3 (a girl and 2 guys) approached wanting the same thing. At one point the security guy said to the girl that once we will leave her group can get in. This exactly what has happened and we ended up not being allowed inside while the other group has been allowed in. The other group was English. I am disgusted

Fab staff, amazing outdoor space, very deceiving from the out side a little tardis, Music in the forms of a jukebox, dj, live bands and karaoke, quiz nights as well Also a family pub where ur dogs are allowed as well

A reasonable pub in Faversham, the barman was polite, but pointed out that we could only stay for half an hour as customers with children had to be gone by 6 p.m. We thought that that was a bit early as the pub wasn't exactly busy and we were enjoying the sunshine in their large beer garden. The pub has a lot of potential but needs a bit of a makeover to make it special. The garden was pretty big with plenty of benches but was quite overgrown and most of the tables were unfortunately peppered with bird poo!! That said it wasn't a bad place and it wouldn't put us off from returning again in the future.

Good because it had the cup final on with lots of room to sit , whereas other pubs in Faversham like the Limes had their tables all reserved . Unfortuntly they missed a very good opportunity , as there was no food available . The bar staff were very good

With so many unusual pubs in Faversham we were shown around a few by a friend. We were only here for one drink, but we intend to return and stay a little longer next time.

Good pint of beer, served by Dan, nice to see staff happy in the workplace. There was a good atmosphere about the pub which maid my first visit be one of many to come

It's been a couple of yrs since my last visit here and sadly its massively gone downhill what used to be a lovely pub with great food, rare ciders a great atmosphere is now filthy ,the beer garden was a disgusting mess that clearly hadn't been tidied in days the toilets were beyond filthy the smell alone was sickening, no atmosphere! No rare ciders! And I didn't see anyone eating food either , there is by far cleaner better pubs to spend your hard earned money in than this dump..

Was quiet on our quick visit for a drink but the staff were very welcoming

Service was very poor when I last visited, but since then they have had a makeover. So give them a try.

After having read other reviews we decided to try this pub as we were going to a concert in the same street. On entering from Preston Street the pub wsn't exactly appealing but we were on a time limit so went ahead. To say this pub needs some TLC would be an under statement. Other than a couple of regulars the pub was empty and this was a Friday evening. We had a drink and ordered some food, a posh burger and fish & Chips . The bar lady was friendly and helpful but this was really as good as it got. The burger should have had some cheese but this appeared to be missing and it was definitely a case of find the fish inside the batter, very disappointing. The one good thing was that we changed the skinny chips to chunky which was the right move. overall very disappointing and would not venture in this pub again.

We plumped for our local on a Thursday so that some of our no Faversham members could join us. Due to future change of ownership this could be our last lunch session ther untill we see who is in charge. A large group of us in attendance with a variey of food orders which the staff coped with brilliantly. Good Beers Great Staff very welcoming and hard working. Great food no compalints. A very good session had by all. Hope it wont be the last.

Only managed to get in here for a drink. They have a massive garden which is beaut in the summer but a good selection of beers. Looking forward to trying the food - have always heard good things :)

I've been visiting the Vaults for around 5 years, and have to admit I'm used to a great little pub, which holds a lot of community/music events, vegan/vegetarian conscious, put a lot of effort into the Faversham Hop Festival and the local community and source local produce. Great hub for locals and visitors a like.

We ate here after purchasing a Groupon and OMG this is one of the worse places I have eaten. The decor is very old fashioned with 70’s carpets and there was no ambiance. There was pop music coming from the bar in addition to drum and bass from the kitchen which was very confused and did not give a nice vibe. We had two courses with wine and when we asked about soft drinks instead of the wine for the driver we were told there was no alternative and we would need to pay extra for the soft drink. The food was very bland and they only had 1 vegetarian option. We were then served a sticky toffee pudding which was actually a syrup sponge pudding despite insisting it was sticky toffee. Very disappointing. My advice..... don’t eat here!

We were looked after extremely well. The food was fresh, the sandwiches excellent and we were all very impressed. It's not state of the art ultra modern, but it's really friendly, very clean and you feel welcome and not ripped off. Thank you so much for looking after us all last Friday.

There for a private party but seems a very nice place.

We Went with friends to see High Tide the folk band. It was amazing. The atmosphere was so friendly, warm and welcoming, we danced all night. It was our first night out in Faversham but it won't be our last. What a great little find.

Having enjoyed the hospitality and excellent beers and a varied menu of good quality food over recent years, I was appalled by the change last weekend. The meals served were at best mean, low quaity ingredients. My 'specials' choice was spaghetti carbonara that had two tiny bits of ham and was all not very good spaghetti. The barman refunded the meal cost willingly.

went for lunch for a groupon deal ,we have never been to Faversham before ,but found it a nice place lots of old shops, buildings pubs and the brewery for a tour .

Really lovely evening at The Vaults tonight. Fabulous food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!! We will be recommending to friends and family. Dog friendly so the whole family can enjoy a night out together.

It's a good all day family pub.

This is my ‘go to’ pub. Ambiance is great, service is usually extraordinarily good. They go the extra mile to make your time there a pleasant experience. Being an American and not even used to pubs... I can truly say they have almost converted me into a pub person! Music is some of the best you can hear in Faversham! I’m sold..

This is a town centre pub and they serve pub grub, no frills. We had a Groupon voucher which included two glasses of wine so it was good value. But it was things like ham, egg and chips or burgers or steak. It was the usual things you would find in a pub but little thought in serving up. It would have been nice to have just seen a lettuce leaf on the plate with the burger and chips or a piece of bread to mop the sauce with the mussels.

My wife and I had an early-evening 'Groupon' two-course meal (with a glass of wine) at The Vaults. The venue is an interesting historic building close to the centre of Faversham; free street parking is available outside after 6pm.

Lovely staff and a friendly atmosphere. The food is good and the building has a great history. Large garden - wonderful on summer evenings!

Food good and honest, the clientele less appreciative. A free house, well managed in an historic building, good beer, just a feeling that the other guests come from a less gentile background. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless, and were not pestered by those who seemed to own the bar.

Took a visit to faversham as had never been and popped into this pub for a couple as it prompted a large beer garden and the sun was out. Glad I went in, was a great garden and great pub. Will defiantly be returning :)

Cosy pub with a good selection of real ale. Nice food, too.

Re-visit to our local. Having spotted the new specials menu which featured Short Rib Of Beef I had to go for it. Well, now, it hit all the spots. Tender mouth watering Meat in stunning gravy on Mash Potato and Veg. Followed by a scrummmy Rhubarb Crumble. Others went for the Fish & Chips or Ham Eggs and Chips plus the ones I forgot. All very happy. Plus as usual great choice of craft Ales Ciders, Larger and a variety of Vodka, Gin and you name it they mostly do it. Great service in a fun Pub. Various events monthly too.

We decided to have lunch there as they have black sheep beer on bar here. We were pleasantly surprised with food served. Starter was beautiful, followed by lovely roast and we sheared desert. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Going to visit again very soon.

Lovely Sunday roast served by friendly people. Deceptive layout if entering from the High Street as it looks like a micro pub at first glance but after going through the passage the Tardis like deception is revealed.

Due to adverse weather conditions we decided to stay local with our regular local pub The Vaults. I and others splashed out on the Steak dishes, Rump, Rib Eye,etc. Very nice they were too. Others had Gammon Ham Eggs & Chips, which meant I could take home a mini doggy bag of ham fat for Bernard & Stanley my two dogs. They also enjoyed their little treat. Others went for the lovey dish of Fish & Chips. All this luxury grub washed down with pints of excellent Black Sheep Bitter. The service was perfection as was the scrummy Apple Pies, Crumbles, etc, etc. We recommend this proper pub with proper Beers, Ciders, Spirits, Wines Coffee, Tea and a variety of soft drinks one of which I like is the Ginger Beer. Cheery Staff with a big welcome.
