The best restaurants serving British food in Swale South East

The only good thing are the staff, they were lovely. The food on the other has really deteriorated unfortunately. Very sad indeed, it was once lovely place to go to.

Great customer service and a warm environment. The food was superb and portion sizes were perfect. Would recommend either the Pork Belly or Steak and Ale pie as the meat was melt in the mouth. I will definitely go back and try other items on the menu.

Nice enough place, comfortable rooms and great staff. However, had to send back two meals. The replacement , a simple burger (frozen) was raw. “We serve our burgers medium” is acceptable if warned and if they are made fresh. However … If they can’t cook rice or burgers I’d question the cook. After a long day, I expect more. I’m now still hungry so it has to be a delivery. Shame.

The beano cafe is the best place on sheppey to get a exceptional filling meal. With a brilliant menu especially thier speciality thier range of all day breakfasts are a must. The staff are competent committed and friendly. Eat here and you won't be disappointed! Can't fault it.

First visit to the Moonlight, and we enjoyed it from start to finish. Quickly attended to by the staff, who were friendly and jolly. Food was well priced, quickly served, fresh and delicious. They're also good at all the small things. A cup of tea comes with the teabag, and a pot of milk so you can have it exactly how you like it, the paper napkins are big and tough enough for the messiest eater, pots of sugars and condiment sachets on each table. Plus salt and pepper in proper pots, etc. When the staff aren't serving they're cleaning, always a good sign. The toilets are spotless.

Yet another gorgeous roast beef dinner. Fresh, hot and lots of it! Friendly family pub, lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. No need to look for anywhere else. Thank you all x

Very disappointed with the portion sizes with home delivery, the beans is not even 3 Table spoons yet when you eat in the restaurant it’s a large portion, very small portions for expensive prices online. However delivery is always on time Bacon is always cooked lovely

Decided to try the abbey hotel as it was part of the eat out scheme, staff was absolutely amazing especially ajay and accommodating our family of 10 was no problem. Very spacious and very easy to maintain social distancing. Will definitely be returning in the future.

It was truly amazing food to enjoy with my friends, staff are very friendly, especially the chef who was constantly nice to us!

We had a table booked and was warmly greeted and told the rest of the party would be shown straight to the table, we had ordered drinks which came promptly and we'd been looking at the menu when a member of the team said turkey and lamb roasts were available if we wished to order them, 4 of our party of 6 changed their minds and had the roasts. They came out hot and heaped with meat which is one thing everyone commented on, 1 of our party even taking home a doggy bag for later, the roasted vegetable bake was good as was the roasted vegetable pasta, it was an absolutely enormous portion of pasta along with 3 slices of garlic bread! 3 of the party had deserts which were all polished off without hesitation! A great afternoon had with great service from all the staff. Will certainly be back as we returned from a previous visit.

Really nice traditional English pub with good food and attentive staff. Recommended.

Fabulous Sunday roasts and amazing service from everyone too. We arrived really early and were accommodated with no problem at all. We will be back.
