Spending money on eating out is definitely a treat these days , so I'm very fussy and expect a lot. 5/5 tudor rose! Good ato.osphere, staff very attentive and the food amazing. I have rolled out there. Worth every penny!! Has set me up nicely for a lazy Sunday.

Had a lovely meal at the Tudor Rose in Bordon! The pie and chips were delicious—crispy chips and a hearty, flavorful pie that really hit the spot. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. A great place for a comforting meal. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for classic British fare in a cozy setting!

Fantastic traditional pub offering a great selection of drinks and some high end food.... Had a family meal there last Sunday and couldn't recommend it enough. 😊👍

The blonde, middle-aged matron who seated us was fairly poor, not overtly rude in her manner, but churlish because we had the 'audacity' to reasonably ask when we might be allowed to get served after being seated three quarters of an hour - "I'll let you know when you can get served" was her response. Thankfully, the chef was a laugh, and he was the one who plated our meat (a carvery) and was very friendly and chatty with his northern charm. The meat was very good for a carvery. The service score here was down to the matron, but if down to the chef alone it would've been five stars

We went here last night on our way home from a trip. We didn’t book but they managed to squeeze us in. I had mussels and my partner had the mixed grill. The food was amazing!!!! And the service was very friendly helpful and quick.

Thank you for a wonderful family meal of 21 people celebrating our daughter in law’s birthday, the food was wonderful for everyone no complaints, look forward to many more family meals in the near future;-)

Once again we had a lovely meal and excellent experience at the Tudor Rose. We were slightly surprised at how busy the pub became during the early evening that we were there. I'm glad that we had booked a table or we would have been disappointed. The food was excellently cooked and very well presented. We have decided to become regulars as it has given us an excellent experience everytime we have visited.

As always very good love there chicken pasta.Take home aloud if not finish.

Attentes for a meal last weeks. Food took some time to come out but was well worth the wait! Presentation was exceptional, the taste was out of this world and the bill well deafened. Will certainly be coming back!!!

We went to the Tudor rose for Sunday carvery it was our anniversary and it took the family. There were 6 of us i booked it about a month before so i thought it would be going to the table then up to the carvery we were given the menu but did not look at them because we knew it was carvery we had the lunch and pudding which was nice my husband went to pay did not look at it still later in the evening i was surprised to see a service charge on it and the prices had gone up from the menu on the website when i phone the pud they sad that the menu is just a sample menu and can change it when the want to when they gave us the menu it was on it but i did not have my glasses with me because i thought i would not need them the ladies said on the phone i should have brought them and the service charge is put on if there is 6 or more people my husband did not know want this was so just payed the bill the owner said that most takeaway or restaurants do this if this is the case i would rather cook myself and they wounder why people don't eat out .

Top tip Sunday carvery. Stay at home and save your money, cook your own Sunday roast it will be much better unless you don’t have anyone at home who can’t cook . Sorry Tudor Rose not very good at all .

Old woman waitressing rude and needs a check up on customer service, the other ladies are lovely, and food was lovely.

After an initial error with our booking they were very apologetic and made the space to accommodate our party of 7 to enjoy a fantastic Sunday roast. Very tasty food, with very generous servings. We've booked again for our Christmas get together.

Very busy and very loud. Very long wait for food. Order was taken promptly. We had booked a table. Run out of some items on the menu. Lots of people crowded around the bar who seemed reluctant to move even though they were blocking the way through with other customers then bumping into our table trying yo squeeze past. The meat turkey which I had was dry and tasteless though my other half's beef was soft and tender. The roast potatoes were nice as was the swede. The cauliflower cheese was very hard and quite stalky. The yorkshire pudding was soggy and resembled a frozen one. I had to go yo the bar yo sort out the bill as there was a mistake which shouldn't have happened. A gentleman at the bathroom asked how things were I told him I'd had better. The answer was they had done 400 covers. Eventually after a phone call to the manageress/owner the bill was sorted. In my opinion this pub/restaurant is not the same as it used to be. We would not be returning.

Wife and I ate and had drinks, the food and service was excellent and found the staff to be very friendly. Will be going back again soon…

Myself and my husband arrived on a Friday at 5.30pm, as we have done numerous times, we got a drink and sat down and asked if we could order something to eat, the lady advised that they were fully booked, there was nobody in the place apart from 3 men drinking in the bar area, we advised the lady that we would order something small like cheesy chips to which she replied, we don't take walk-ins you can buy some crisps. with that we left the pub she clearly did not want our custom, so we went somewhere else who did.

Amazing Sunday roasts and great atmosphere. Staff very helpful and attentive. Specials board very good but would like to see some changes from time to time. Sunday roast gravy is to die for.

We visited on a whim as we were in the area and just caught the end of the lunch service. Friendly staff and nice cosy atmosphere. We ordered and the food came quickly. The food was very nice, well cooked, flavoursome and delicious. Had a couple of drinks too. Prices are competitive, not cheap, but certainly not expensive. Overall its very good value with nice quality food and service. I would recommend easily. NB: we also visited this pub a few months ago, ona Sunday and without booking, and unfortunately they could not fit us in as they were fully booked. However, the barman suggested we go upstairs to their Sunday carvery, we did not know they even had a Sunday carvery. So up we went and what a lovely meal we had there too, traditional Sunday Roast fare, choice of meats, roast spuds, lovely veg and all the trimmings, Yorkshire pub, Stuffing, etc. All well cooked and tasting lovely. So two reviews in one. Well worth a visit, but beware, they are so good you may need to book. Cheers AAA+++

Good range of beers, food very nice and staff very friendly. Beer garden and nice restaurant. Small car park to side. Very nice menu. Will pop in again when in the area.

We visited this restaurant with my brother and sister in law and nephew this evening and we were totally disappointed. The waitress who took our drinks order did not have a knowledge of the beers they served and looked confused when my husband asked what ales were available, as if she didn’t know what an ale was!! We ordered our meals. My husband and nephew had the rib eye steak, I had the shoulder of lamb and my brother and sister in law had the sirloin. When the meals came out they were well presented and looked very appetising. The rib eye and lamb meals were lovely but my brother and sister in laws steaks were tough, fatty and gristly. Unfortunately we were asked by a waitress how the meals were before they had tried their steaks, but we could see that the steak was tough as my sister in law had difficulty cutting through it, and my brothers steak had a horrible piece of gristle. Another waitress approached the table at the end of our meal and we explained that we were not happy with the meal and she said she would speak to the chef. I reiterated that we were not happy with the 2 sirloins and they were more like rump steak. Manager came and took the price of one steak off the bill but not the second as most of it had been eaten. We are visitors to the area and we were disappointed that my brother and sister in laws meals weren’t up to standard as it was the first family meal we’ve had together for a long time. Would definitely not recommend sirloin steak at this place. Also their online menu is not up to date as on line it says they had fillet steak and scallops, which was the main reason my brother in law wanted to go there. They don’t want to go back

8 of us went to the carvery for my daughters 21st birthday- very disappointed. Waited 45 minutes for our starters, garlic mayo with breaded mushrooms was inedible so strong (had a whole clove of garlic in). Went to carvery when told, so they could check it was replenished, only turkey for 2 , cauliflower cheese was more like creamed cauliflower, poor selection of veg left . They sourced more turkey from downstairs for 3 of our party but the rest of us had finished eating by the time they made it back to the table. Have always liked the conservatory but will definately not return to the carvery in a hurry, very disappointed

I held my fiancés surprise 30th here. Was perfect all the way from booking to the event had finished; customer service was excellent and so was the food. All the guests commented how excellent it was. That's why I would give 5* all the way. Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. Molly, Freddy, Cameron and the team were excellent!

Took my nan here for a surprise meal, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, great flavour and cooked perfectly. Was a little cold to begin with but mentioned to a member of staff and they turned the air conditioning off in our area which we greatly appreciated. The only thing we found slightly off putting was the fact that the staff were walking round the corner and checking on us every two or three minutes, it felt a bit like we were being rushed. Apart from that it was an excellent meal and very reasonably priced.

Hadn't been to The Tudor Rose for years. Booked ourselves in for the carvery and it was awesome! I cannot fault anything about our experience. Everything from the staff to the food was excellent. Props to the chefs for the quality of the meat - the gammon just melted in the mouth - and there was plenty of veggies to choose from. Can't wait to book again 😋

Food was hot. Service really good. Friendly as soon as we all walked in. Portions were very very generous ( if anything too generous ) you won't walk out disappointed if you go, so I highly recommend.

So we have just been to the Tudor rose for another try last time we went wasn't the best experience. Wow it was amazing good service great food nice atmosphere much improved.

6 of us had a beautiful carvery on Sunday 23rd. Homemade fresh and simply lovely. Found the restaurant to be clean and tidy. The service was brilliant, fast and efficient. Definitely coming back soon.

We chose this spot to have my father's birthday meal. There were 23 of us, children included, with all different dietary requirements and tastes and they managed to cater for everyone! Such an enjoyable evening in a homey enviroment with friendly staff. Thank you Tudor Rose, we will be back!

The place needs a very good clean especially the seating in the carvery , was told the chairs are due for a refurnish some time, but a clean for now would suffice.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Fitted us in on the day which was wonderful. Beef and turkey ordered with a portion of cauliflower cheese. So much meat and the plate was full which was wonderful. Parsnips, carrots, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings all very tasty. Extra gravy too. Staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Lots of people coming with family so very popular. Definitely coming again.

Lovely pub, great food. Good variety for vegetarians, some dishes can be made into children's size portions for vegetarians. The warm scotch egg starter is a must!

Great Sunday Roast in the Carvery for Father's Day

We had a lovely Carvery today! (7/4/24) Staff were friendly and attentive, even though it was really busy when we were there! Meats were cooked beautifully and the vegetables to go with it were nice and fresh as there was someone topping up as we queued. Felt like a nice and clean restaurant… as a table left, there was someone there pretty much straight cleaning it. Overall a lovely experience and we cannot wait to come back, already booked for a couple weeks time!

I had a roast beef and the beef tasted like cardboard and the roasts were very hard. Felt really bland for the price and it used to have a good reputation. Service was not great. I understand that we had quite a few people but they expected us to pay a £32 table service which was optional but they put it on without asking and when we said we wasn’t they were obviously displeased. The burgers were alright but most people thought their dishes were not worth the money and were not happy they kept asking for details when we had pre-booked the food. Ie flavours of ice cream or if it was a kids meal. Will not be returning:)

I was expecting basic pub grub but I chose from the specials menu and had the most amazing dish of beef steak strips. Many thanks to the chef for a very tasty enjoyable top quality meal

Had a private do upstairs and the staff were very accommodating.

Was there last night 12 adults 6 kids for my wife's 50th they had to put 4 to 5 tables together so tables not even my son in law got a Guinness put it on table and it fell over the lip of the table we cleared it up but some went on my daughters dress not a problem that can be washed but we asked for another Guinness to replace it and was told we can't replace it but you can buy another one lol so who's decision that was needs to look at that .. other than that was a good night

Typical village pub, but in a good way, quiet, out of the way, some parking on site but there is loads of space on the road outside, small function room upstairs. My only slight grumble is one particular staff member upstairs when we went didn't seem very friendly approachable, no smile, not very talkative... Maybe an off day?? 🤷🏼‍♂️ But I don't hold grudges, would still go again if passing.

Decided to go out last minute for mothers Day. After giving The Tudor Rose a brief call, they managed to fit us in. And I'm so glad they did. The staff were absolutely brilliant, very accommodating even trying to even out 2½Yr old son. The food was fantastic and very well portioned, and it was an amazing atmosphere. All round Highly recommended and we're looking forward to next time

What a fabulous pub restaurant 😀 We hadn't booked but was able to get a table quickly ... their were a lot of diners for a mid-week lunchtime. We opted to go straight for a main followed by dessert. The food was obviously freshly prepared and was of a high standard. Given the quality of the food, I felt the prices were very reasonable. Absolutely will visit again and highly recommend if you are in the area 👌🏻

Booked table for 8 4 adults and 4 kids for my aunties birthday, told on booking (wheelchair user) unfortunately seated on the higher part (a few steps) of the ground floor. Wheelchair user had to go out the double door interrupting other customers eating to have to go out side and round to the front entrance to use toilets, very disappointed definitely not wheelchair friendly!!

The service was spot on all m friends where very happy with there meals I made the mistake of having a ribeye steak not cooked as I ordered & a very poor cut of meat.

Recently our team had a Christmas dinner party at The Tudor Rose, everyone enjoyed a lot. The D J was absolutely amazing every guest was on the dance floor, fabulous service and delicious food. I really recommend The Tudor Rose.

Lovely bar/restaurant, only problem we sat in the conservatory and it was cold, but everything else perfect

My wife and I went for a friends Wedding Anniversary meal and the food was amazing. I have never not been able to eat everything on my plate. But! This time I was beaten. The food was lovely, well cooked and plenty of it. The service was second to none and we all had a wonderful time. I will definitely be returning for another visit.

Book a table for a certain time for Sunday carvery... still had to wait 50minutes to get our meal.....🤨 as we were forgotten about.... 😟 haven't a clue how many times we called the waitress over to see when could go and get our roast dinner, so waited another 5minutes then my partner went and said we have been waiting over an hour now, straight after that we could go up for our roast, but was a lovely roast when we got it

A pre Christmas family meal. Although there were initial reservations about the position of our table due to the closeness of the door, and no one likes a draft. However, we were actually very comfortable. A party of 8, all agreed the food was very good every meal was hot and flavoursome, the chef and kitchen team do an excellent job. The waiting staff were polite and efficient. I have no doubt we will return.

Table for 2, three courses. The veggie option was a bit of a farce as it was a vegetable side dish that they put cheese on, then charged £15. Without cheese it's about £5 as a side. Other than that, delicious. Oh, and the waiter forgot about us, twice. Once when we needed to order and the second time he forgot our wine, which we didn't get until halfway through our dinner. We'll still go back. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious. They could use some additional veggie options but the wife loved her meat pie dish.

Gluten free menu very poor . Food average
