We came for Mother’s Day afternoon tea on Saturday & it was so lovely. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the decor is lovely. Staff were all so friendly & attentive (in a non intrusive way). My daughter aged 8 was even given her own version of afternoon tea which she loved! We will definitely be back 😊

Consistently excellent! We have been visiting here for a number of years and have always found the food to be first class alongside fantastic and friendly customer service. The premises are spotlessly clean and both indoor and outdoor spaces are immaculately maintained.

Although I live just a short distance from this pub, I'd never been inside. My friend and I booked aa table for lunch; there was a steady stream of diners arriving, mostly regulars I'd say. We both had scampi and chips, then I had ice cream with chocolate sauce and hundreds and thousands (aka 'sprinkles'). My friend had the ginger pudding and ice cream, which she said was very good. A few people had dogs with them, but they weren't a problem. The lady serving us was friendly and efficient and even apologised for the slight delay in taking our order. The loos were clean and airy. I thought it was very good value for money; in short, I liked it very much

Booked a table for four in dog friendly area, we specified the dog friendly area twice. When we got there we were squeezed into a cramped area, which was not dog friendly area. We asked if we could move, the young lady behind the bar said no, very abruptly and said no dogs on furniture. We ordered drinks, and while drinking them decided to pay and leave. While I was up at the bar I spoke to the young lady again and told her we were leaving because we were not in the dog friendly area, she was very rude in her reply. We ended up in JJs and spent over £150 pounds which they missed out. All because the young lady’s attitude, very bad for hospitality.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Brookfield hotel. We had a function on the Saturday night which was a 7 course meal and I have to say I was blown away with the service and the reassurance of my gluten free options, I could literally have exactly the same dishes as everyone else with just a couple of tweaks I couldn’t believe it! A lovely gentleman served me who I think was a manager (I am so sorry I cannot remember his name) which made me feel so looked after as it can be daunting eating out somewhere new! All staff were helpful and made the evening run smoothly it was very professional! The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed, the only thing I would say is more plug sockets but that’s not the end of the world! Also it was a bit expensive for room service as a sausage and bacon sandwich ended up being £13.45 including tray service but again with inflation maybe that’s why it was that much! Apart from that there was plenty of parking at a small charge and the hotel was easy to get around. Thank you for looking after us, it was the best meal I’ve had as a coeliac plus the most I’ve ever been able to eat!

Came to emsworth for the day on bank holiday, struggled to find somewhere to eat and came across the ship inn. Ordered no problem and food was great and well priced. I must say the cottage pie was brilliant, just like mummy used to make! Everyone left happy!

Sunny lunchtime so we sat in the garden. Hanging baskets had dried up remains of flowers in them, similarly the pots which have been planted but not watered so everything has died. Everywhere, inside and out looks sad.
