Fantastic sandwiches great selection of fillings with lovely choice of bread to match. I had the goats cheese, brie and fig sandwich on granary. My husband had the ploughmans (cheddar and blue cheese). It was appreciated that he was asked whether we were ok with all the salad items. Very pleasant customer experience. We used to come here to eat in few years ago but glad to say quality and service remains excellent.

Booked back in October for the festive lunch with a group of friends. Drinks on arrival didn’t turn up to the table for a good 45 minutes after then only 2 came, eventually the others came with the hot drinks, followed by the children’s food. The restaurant was relatively busy upon arrival and the staff were busy, and table not ready. The food came out, it looked lovely but in all honesty for £27 it wasn’t that nice, we had 3 sandwich fingers with festive fillings, 2 scones one plain, one cranberry and a selection of mini cakes that all tasted of mince pies (they did look good though) The restaurant it self was beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere and was warm (a little too warm for me but the staff did open the door for us, which was nice.) I’m not sure I’d return as although the atmosphere and staff were lovely, I had to get up to ask for drinks, spoons for deserts and even get my own menu and the wait was long as the restaurant went quiet before our food came out which was all cold anyway, so not sure on why the wait.

I love a good sandwich or baguette for my lunch. I lament the quality of sandwiches and baguettes available today-limp, tasteless, flavourless, you know who you are big supermarkets-as for the corner shop variety, the least said, the better-listeria factories...so a treat to discover Le Petit Pain on an all too rare trip to Emsworth-its clean and bright inside, plenty on offer (the options are so numerous, its like reading a small book) and a friendly welcome-plus the freshest and most tasteful egg mayo and salad baguette I have had in years. Repeat customer now. Thankyou.

Fantastic little pub. Great atmosphere, excellent staff and the food was exceptional. We happened to stop off for a bite to eat and we got the last table on Friday night. A very cosy and friendly setting with a great selection of food and drinks. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area.

I just had another fantastic 3 course meal from their Christmas menu this evening with a group of friends. Just the best service, the food was delicious and plentiful so much so I've booked to go again before Christmas on 15 Dec with another group of friends. An unsuspecting gem of a good food pub from the outside not to be missed if you are ever in Emsworth.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Brookfield hotel. We had a function on the Saturday night which was a 7 course meal and I have to say I was blown away with the service and the reassurance of my gluten free options, I could literally have exactly the same dishes as everyone else with just a couple of tweaks I couldn’t believe it! A lovely gentleman served me who I think was a manager (I am so sorry I cannot remember his name) which made me feel so looked after as it can be daunting eating out somewhere new! All staff were helpful and made the evening run smoothly it was very professional! The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed, the only thing I would say is more plug sockets but that’s not the end of the world! Also it was a bit expensive for room service as a sausage and bacon sandwich ended up being £13.45 including tray service but again with inflation maybe that’s why it was that much! Apart from that there was plenty of parking at a small charge and the hotel was easy to get around. Thank you for looking after us, it was the best meal I’ve had as a coeliac plus the most I’ve ever been able to eat!

This may have once been a good restaurant but it no longer is. The food was at best average and at worst inedible. Whilst the food was cooked reasonably well (gastro pub standard) the seasoning made three of our four dishes inedible. A tip for the chef: if you can taste salt, you’ve over-seasoned. If your mouth dries from the salt, you’ve failed entirely. For the cost of the meal, it is reasonable to expect a chef who can cook - seasoning and all - to a very high standard. This failed to reach that bar at any time. I’ve paid much, much less and eaten far, far better many times before. Avoid.
