Stopped here for coffee while cycling in the area. What a great place. So much choice on the menu. We shared a bacon, brie and cranberry pannini. I had cappuccino. Hubby just had sparkling water. Was really tasty and great for sharing as a snack at lunchtime. Would recommend and will call again when we're in the area. Staff were so nice too. Really friendly

A great breakfast on a lovely, sunny terrace We had an exceptionally delicious breakfast with high-quality ingredients at a good price for that level of quality. The cakes are amazing, homemade. They remind us of childhood and grandma's cakes. The staff is friendly, especially the owner, who is very kind and pleasant. We will definitely come back because they have the best breakfast in Emsworth.

Fantastic sandwiches great selection of fillings with lovely choice of bread to match. I had the goats cheese, brie and fig sandwich on granary. My husband had the ploughmans (cheddar and blue cheese). It was appreciated that he was asked whether we were ok with all the salad items. Very pleasant customer experience. We used to come here to eat in few years ago but glad to say quality and service remains excellent.

Taking you back to the 1940's, this fantastic little quirky place on the station platform is a brilliant find We love it, travel 12 miles just to go there! Handy, too, if you're travelling from Emsworth & want to grab a coffee for the train. "Queenie"'s hospitality is first class. Excellent tea, too, served in vintage crockery, fit for any connoiseur. Friday nights live music on cosy patio or indoors makes for a most unusual night out. I've even seen people dancing on the station platform! Do support these independent places please! We need to keep them alive. We are swamped with enough run of the mill coffee shop chains.

Booked back in October for the festive lunch with a group of friends. Drinks on arrival didn’t turn up to the table for a good 45 minutes after then only 2 came, eventually the others came with the hot drinks, followed by the children’s food. The restaurant was relatively busy upon arrival and the staff were busy, and table not ready. The food came out, it looked lovely but in all honesty for £27 it wasn’t that nice, we had 3 sandwich fingers with festive fillings, 2 scones one plain, one cranberry and a selection of mini cakes that all tasted of mince pies (they did look good though) The restaurant it self was beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere and was warm (a little too warm for me but the staff did open the door for us, which was nice.) I’m not sure I’d return as although the atmosphere and staff were lovely, I had to get up to ask for drinks, spoons for deserts and even get my own menu and the wait was long as the restaurant went quiet before our food came out which was all cold anyway, so not sure on why the wait.

I love a good sandwich or baguette for my lunch. I lament the quality of sandwiches and baguettes available today-limp, tasteless, flavourless, you know who you are big supermarkets-as for the corner shop variety, the least said, the better-listeria factories...so a treat to discover Le Petit Pain on an all too rare trip to Emsworth-its clean and bright inside, plenty on offer (the options are so numerous, its like reading a small book) and a friendly welcome-plus the freshest and most tasteful egg mayo and salad baguette I have had in years. Repeat customer now. Thankyou.

I came to collect food and the waiter taking plates back to the kitchen barked "EXCUSE ME" I understand that it's a small restaurant, but don't talk to customers in that tone. Very rude, very miserable. Even when he asked if I'd ordered. I'm usually very tolerant of this kind of thing, but honestly, if you can't be polite to the general public as a waiter, you're in the wrong job. The staff here used to be very polite. I'll go next door next time

Staying in the area and wanted a special place for a birthday lunch. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, food and service. Just a shame I don't live closer or I would definitely be a regular visitor. Thank you for a memorable and delicious lunch. I love the history of the place too. Keep up the great work!
