Great food and historically good caramel shortcake in this very friendly cafe. The philosophy of the place is to give people with learning difficulties opportunities to get work experience and everyone does a wonderful job and created a COVID safe environment. Very happy to support this place twice while we visited a week before second lockdown. I hope the cafe is able thrive once everything opens up again.

We arrived mid afternoon for a sandwich and refreshments and received a warm welcome. After ordering at the counter, our sandwich plates with side salad and crisps were ample portions and very tasty. The staff were chatty and keen to please. Recommended.

we had been recommended to this cafe by our daughter-in-law and were not disappointed. We visited with our grandaughter who thoroughly enjoyed her chocolate cake. The bacon in the bacon roll was especially good and we were told it was supplied by a local butcher - they try to source all their products locally. There are a number of staff who have learning difficulties but everyone there is very pleasant and welcoming. Do visit and support what they are doing.
