We were short of time but needed some food as both quite hungry. Both of us ordered a sandwhich and a drink, explained to the server that we were pushed and she did everything to make sure wwe got a delcious sandwhich, drink and bill within 20 mins. THANK YOU

We were in for birthday drinks and Brooke was singing, she was amazing, the atmosphere in the place was buzzing, upbeat and very friendly. I would recommend JJ's for any event or night out, the staff are lovely and we always end up dancing. Thank you Brooke, you were amazing, I loved the sets you did, hope to hear you there again soon.

If you are eating you get looked after, but if you just want a drink they don’t want to know, rude on arrival and moved around the place as they have no where for you to sit. Avoid at all costs unless you’re booking for food.

We were placed in the conservatory because we had 3 dogs with us. There is artificial turf on the floor which was soaked thru. The dogs would not settle, their leads were soaking as they were attached to dogs. The gift bags which were in the floor were unusable as they soaked up the water. Coat left on back of chair which draped on the floor had wet hem. My feet were so cold as it felt like I was standing in a puddle. Felt the evening was ruined.

My 3rd visit and was not disappointed, great venue, great atmosphere, delicious food with good portions and every one of the staff are so friendly and professional. I came with my family this time to celebrate mums 70th and they were all really impressed too. Thank you JJs.

Very disappointed with our main meals, chicken burger looked like a piece of roadkill in a bun and chicken in chibitta roll was so dry and flavourless , even cocktails seem to be short of proper measures, service was very good and buzzing atmosphere but food falls very short, emailed restaurant but no response surprise, surprise

I’m not really one to give a perfect review, but JJs deserves it. Every time I visit, the service here is brilliant. It’s always happy and smiley and efficient - and that makes SUCH a huge huge difference. I’d just like to thank you for that - and the awesome food and amazing vibes. ✌️

Very average. Had better, had worse but this was no better than any chain. Music turned up loud to disguise that it's not very good. Decor very fancy to disguise that the quality is poor. Overpriced for what it offers.

Went and had breakfast there. Fantastic good quality products. Price also included toast and tea. I'm definitely going back again.

Drinks took a while, but worth the wait, great atmosphere, entertainment, food was amazing and plenty of it.

The only really fabulous thing about jjs now is the most lovely tattooed lady , what a delightful member of staff always goes above and beyond and her customer service is excellent

We enjoyed jjs, unfortunately didn't quite live up to the hype. We thought the food was mediocre, nothing to scream about although the salad was better than most, our burgers were too well done for our liking. The live music was good and the cocktails 2 for £15.00 were good value.

Probably the best 'inside' of a restaurant ever. Just lovely, quirky, colourful and relaxing. Staff are polite, friendly and very good at their job. Food is terrific. We had a weeks holiday in Emsworth, but then came down a week later to eat here again.

Very very disappointing. The beef burger was fine, as was the scampi. Unfortunately, the chicken burger tasted as if it had been fried in the fish basket. It was disgusting. The service was slow, and “could not care less” attitude. I will not be back, and I will encourage others to go to the Coal Exchange or the Blue Bell.

Really sorry but this favourite place has lost it's way. The menu is no longer unique, the food is fine - standard pub grub - but the staff at all levels have little real commitment to customer service .It remains a great venue but lacks basic ingredients.

I shared the Sunday roast platter with friends. So much meat and veg. Half a chicken. 3 large slices of beef and lovely rolled pork. Mouth watering

Wow. From the outside, this looks like a coffee shop. Venture in and you're in a magical world. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked perfectly. Upstairs is an elegant restaurant that you'll be proud to take family and friends to. Out the back is a cracking sun terrace. Downstairs is where the magic can happen. The whole bar is just one class. High and low seats. Even old cinema seats. You will not be disappointed.

What a brilliant place! Group of 5 of us went Friday night and had such a fun night! The staff were very attentive. I had the baked aubergine and a side of halloumi fries which were delicious! Halfway through the evening they had a live singer serenading the restaurant from upstairs, brilliant atmosphere with eclectic and funky interior, tasty food, and wonderful staff!

Really good food. Had 2 courses. That goats cheese starter is beyond amazing. Staff were very nice and welcoming. The manager not so much. Clearly not leading by example, with poor customer service and came across confrontational with her staff

Never been before but heard good things about it Had supper with the Family. Great menu choice and cooked fresh. Querky decor but has a sense of fun Will be going back to have a go at the meat sharing board!

Absolutely cracking all round. We Found it by accident and we will definitely be back. Roast was 10/10 as was the burger. Definitely recommend a visit .

I came here a few months ago for breakfast and to this day it lives rent free in my head. The atmosphere and rude manager was giving bad vibes, felt like I was stepping on eggshells the whole time whilst she was barking out orders to her young staff. Compliments to the chef for our breakfast, however I’m never coming back as I would have rather sat in bed and had a slice of toast than to be sat near the till whilst 50 tradesman were having their orders messed up.

First time for us visiting Emsworth and we came across this gem. A real quirky place with friendly staff! We had a couple of roasts and a couple of burgers (one vegan) between us. Great food and nice to go somewhere different, thank you!

Average food. Service not great. Ordered drinks and never arrived so we just paid the bill and left.

We were recommended to come here by a friend to have the "amazing roast platter". On arrival we were abruptly told "we don't do that anymore". We ordered our drinks. The food order was then taken. One drink arrived and then the food. The second drink had been forgotten. No apology, no explanation. In summary, the food was tasty but average, the service was very under par.

I love JJs I always have the best time there, the food has always left me wanting to go back. Tina the manager is super friendly and helpful as well as the staff, my choice of how much we spent was due to 2 cocktails with starter and main which is a great price. Can't wait to come back.

2nd visit. Birthday celebration. Promised my parents a fish platter. Checked on the phone they had fish stock for our meal. Sat down to be told fish was off the menu that we then found it hard to find an alternative . Be wary of menu if booking in advance.

Wow it's like entering a magical world! I loved it. We just shared a pot of tea for 2 but people around were ordering roast dinners which were huge and looked delicious. The decor is something else with more to catch your eye, everywhere you look! Worth a visit for a drink or food and in any season! The lady who served us with the tattoos and headscaf was lovely. Will pop in again. Please open a bar like this in South devon!

Delicious food and a good range of well thought out dishes to suit a wide range of preferences. We were made welcome, including the dog in our party and received good service, but never intrusive. JJ’s has a very individual style and atmosphere which feels a bit escapist and definitely stands out in the middle of Emsworth. Previously only been in for coffees, but now we have tried the lunch menu, we will be back to try breakfast and maybe a cocktail!

What a brilliant venue. The food is always banging, the host is always on point, the staff are always brilliant and the venue is so unique and enjoyable. Can't fault the place. I keep meaning to explore more places when I visit Emsworth but always end up here and never regret it.

Quite Easily the best restaurant in Emsworth. Trust me on this, we are foodies. First time to Emsworth, we made the mistake of having dinner at the place next door. JJ's is the place we should have eaten, and will always choose from now on. Great service, beautifully crafted menu, coffee, tea, liqueurs, cakes etc. The staff are lovely and make the experience all the more memorable.

New lady taken over. Very friendly updated me previous owners John and Jim. She has kept the same decor and atmosphere, why change something that works. Food was good. Banana split has the toffee back on. Mum had Eaton mess which was a mountain. Excellent 👍 Thought I'd posted this. Been today. Still great food and great service. This time banana split is just banana banoffi something with the crispy toffee with just ice-cream. Nice but not a touch on the old banana split with the fruit etc. mum enjoyed Eaton mess again

Came for Sunday lunch with the 4 of the children and husband today. Absolutely gorgeous food, can't fault a single thing. Incredibly tasty, large portions and presentation is second to none. Great wine list and cocktails. And the staff are beyond friendly, helpful and there are lots of them, something a lot of places are lacking. Stunning inside and out. We will definitely be back in the very near future.

Just back from a Mother’s Day ( prebooked). Absolutely lovely! Amazing soup, roast chicken n beef spot on and cheese board very yummy. All served by brilliant staff. All of the staff happy, friendly, attentive and welcoming. Thankyou so much! X

I love this place and despite the gushing chummy welcome from the authoritarian lady on the laptop, I would recommend it to anyone whether you want a drink, meal or just a nice latté. I always come here when I pop into lovely Emsworth. The staff are friendly and efficient and the place seems to be run with military precision (probably under the watchful eye of laptop lady!). The interior is as flamboyant as the outside and offers various cosy eating environments as well as a well stocked bar and even a little courtyard for us afficiados of the tobacco.. I think (haven't tested that yet!). Plenty of parking nearby and the harbour is just a hundred yards or so away.

On first visit - no one came to talk our order. After 15 minutes we walked out. Thought it was about time to give it another try. The lady I spoke on the phone was extremely rude and very unwelcoming. Decided to give it a miss -again !!! Think I'll give up on this place

Really lovely food. I had the roast dinner and had beef; all the vegetables were cooked beautifully, and with an interesting flavour. My husband had the burger and thought it was very good, and the chips were also beautifully cooked. Service was quick and friendly

Wish I’d checked the trip advisor reviews first as I wouldn’t have bothered and won’t bother coming again. Roast was a disappointment. It came very quick which was a surprise as it was so busy but it was very lacking. The meat seemed to be steamed so the chicken was very wet and the pork was rubber and the fat was urgh. The biggest letdown is hygiene. We were sat upstairs and the place was filthy. Don’t look at the windows as it’s just pure dirt and cobwebs… was very off-putting. It also looked very tired and needs to close For the day or something to clean and freshen up the look as clearly from trip advisor others have the same comments.

Our best quality dining experience in Emsworth and that’s a high bar as all have been at least good.

Booked for Saturday night which is a reduced menu but was disappointed that although we arrived at 7:30, they had already run out of some food. Felt the menu was quite limited. The food we had was very nice and our waitress was very friendly however we had two occasions where our drinks were forgotten. There was also a weird situation where the bathroom taps were giving out boiling hot water and although we made the manager aware, there still seemed to be people coming out of the toilets complaining. After dinner we went downstairs for drinks and the atmosphere and singer were really good. The place has huge potential so this could have just been an off night

Trip advisor shows this as 22nd of 39 restaurants in the area. That is nonsense I travel the Uk and have eaten in hundreds of restaurants this is in my top 5 and number 1 in the area. Tina the Manager is always on the ball the service is slick and the food is top notch for the price.. 12 of us ate here Sunday and everyone had a great meal and experience. If you visit Emsworth and don’t pop in here you have missed a treat

Deco is great, very different than the normal places to eat. Someone must have a fantastic eye in design. Such a wonderful use of objects. Food is very good, Hot and tasty😋. Service was hit and miss depending on who came to the table. We would return again for sure.

The little old man that welcomed us to our table was incredibly rude to us. We felt bad about asking for any drinks as he made us feel like we were causing him undue stress. He referred to me as a ‘morin’ when I asked if the mushroom risottto was vegan. I can’t say I want to go back. I hope that little old man in his pink shirt finds happiness one day.

The manager/Owner was extremely cold/rude. Didn’t feel welcome and got the impression staff were scared to be themselves which wasn’t cool. Felt on edge.. food was great but atmosphere sucked a bit..

Very good value lunch! Huge sandwich came with chips and salad, all delicious and very filling. Very good coffee too. The whole place is like a tardis - looks like a tea room from the front, but is actually more like a cocktail bar/night venue inside, much bigger than you think. We were there around 2pm and they were catering for lunches, afternoon teas, drinks, everything!

Brilliant food and brilliant service. Live music that was fabulous from Mama Funk. Not too loud and made the night for my birthday.

Great place to visit, been many times. Food is good but nothing great, not many vegetarian options. I had the vegan burger without the bun, small pot of coleslaw and a small portion of fries, my wife had the leak and potato soup. Eaton mess was very good, as was the Argentinian Malbec.

Christmas Day, and it was fantastic. Welcomed with a complimentary Presoco or OJ and taken straight to our table. The food was amazing!!!!! So, thanks to the catering team, you did yourselves proud. Also, a weldone and thanks to all the lovely ladies that gave up part of their day to work and make ours amazing. The table was kept clean and tidy, especially as we opened Christmas presents too. If I'd of wanted anything else, a mince pie with ☕️ coffee would have finish me off. Would HIGHLY recommend for lny meal.

We had the roast platter which was great and good value for money.

Owner/main manager was incredibly rude to me and my family. Said children under 12 weren’t allowed in after 6 (why not tell us as we got there at 5:50?) and showed another family in just after this. They were allowed to stay but not us!! Told her about a broken seat that could be a real hazard and was told it slides out very bluntly Well the huge screw poking out proves otherwise. If you have the high seats next to the toilet area beware as you may fall down a massive hole and have a pointing up screw as added danger. I used to come here every Sunday as a regular of emsworth however don’t think I’ll bother. Unfortunately this member of staff had also ruined other places in the area when they ran it. Only good thing about my experience tonight was the other young staff who were amazing. Owner/manager needs to take a lesson from her younger staff. They were kind, welcoming and they are the saving grace of JJ’s.

Fabulous and funky bar in emsworth. Firstly the decor is insane! So flamboyant and eclectic! Lots of tables situated in different themed areas! We had an Xmas meal (we had a gluten free which they catered for fine) which was lovely. Very generous portions. Good came out quickly and the staff were so friendly. Lovely cocktail menu so it’s a good place to come to eat or just have drinks. We booked in advance as does get very busy! But would 100% recommend!

I love the quirkiness of this place! Really would love to come here more often but the manager (assistant manager?) is the most unfriendly, borderline rude person I've come across in hospitality. Never a smile or hello, she may bark 'have you got a booking?' if you are lucky. We have given up going there now, I would rather give my money to a place where I am made to feel welcome.

Very interesting decor, great atmosphere. Great range of food and drinks on the menu. Could go here both for lunch or a fun evening out. Food was okay, I had the plant based burger and fries. I like that there is also a takeaway dessert corner at the front of the restaurant.

We popped in here by chance today. Good timing as 15 minutes later we wouldn’t have got a table. Seems a very popular place. The menu is huge, especially for the amount of fish on the menu. This can’t be fresh in (maybe only the fish dish of the day). Our beetroot gravlax was nice but had either seen better days or had food colouring added. We’ve ordered this many times elsewhere and although it was edible but wasn’t 100%. The small fish and chips were nice, lots of batter which isn’t to everyone’s taste. The tartar was questionable, poor quality Mayo and only Gerkins. Having said that if we were in the area we would go back.

Came here with the family to celebrate my uncles 60th. There was 12 of us. We fitted fairly comfortably upstairs across the back. Surprisingly big venue with some interesting decor. Food was nice and service was alright. Worth a visit.

Food was lovely only given it 4 stars as I am gluten free and was told I couldn't have a roast dinner! First time I have ever been told that! Most restaurants go out of their way to accommodate not here tho! Hubby had the roast and was happy with it. I had Chicken burger which was nice just not a roast! 😂🤣 Staff were friendly and the restaurant was very busy.

Tina and the team offer a 5 star experience at very reasonable prices. Couldn’t be better. Fabulous surroundings and very tasty food with generous portions.

We had a very good experience here. Even entering just for a coffee, between meals time, we decided to have something sweet as well. The deserts were exceptional, as the coffees but most importantly, the service and the atmosphere were excellent. This is a very clean and tidy place, and that counts a lot. I strongly recommend. The only thing that's important and ok, for food you will book your visit. The food will be cooked for you fresh. Wonderful place.

The manageress was very preoccupied not very welcoming although younger staff helpful & friendly . Limited lunch menu as I cannot eat bread . Seafood didn't seem fresh as had hoped. Really disappointed as 1st visit 😞
