The best restaurants serving British food in Castle Hastings South East

We loved it in here. Had a cracking time trying a couple of the beers. Thought the exhibition of postcards upstairs was rather, erm, Hastings. Atmosphere was great. Guy behind the bar was really friendly too. Definitely returning.

You should definitely try it, fresh and fast breakfast, friendly staff, prices are really affordable, the quality is unquestionable.@@@@@@@

My wife and I were greeted by an impeccably well turned out and nice mannered gentleman who took our order we both had eggs benedict which arrived looking worthy of a 5 star resturant it was cooked and tasted perfect we are going back to try lunch ,people talk of finding gems I never have until now

Waited over an hour for delivery was later than end time of delivery and food was ordinary

The service was good but my drinks have gone up 5 pounds in a week last sat oct 11 th 2020 paid 18 pounds for wine a lot of money but accepted this week 23 pounds for same house wine .Food ok but when bill comes to over 100 pounds I expect value not to be ripped off .Staff lovely but value for money nil.Very disappointed as been going there for a long time and had hoped loyalty would be valued .Food tasty but overpriced for what you get. Been a loyal customer for Many years, manny thousands of pounds spent here and at other sites at the hospital and. Bexhill. Visited this afternoon for another coffee to pass the time. Left and was gone about 2. Minutes and decided I should have visited the loo before I left so returned. Was very abruptly told by a member of staff that the loos were for customers only. I explained I was a customer and had just been in but was told to leave. Very angry and will not be returning, a lot of lost custom 1066. So penny pinching it’s gone too far, well the abrupt rebuke by your staff has lost you a loyal customer.

They stuff is the most rude peoples I ever knew, they take ages to delivery the food at the table. And if you ask then about the food they will be rude as Highest standard. I dont recomend and I never will went there again

Had lunch here. I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans. I also had a coffee with oat milk. My partner had a big all day breakfast and we shared some chips (perfectly cooked). This was around 1pm. Not crowded at all and food was tasty and good value.
