So the service and the food here was good however first impressions is that this pub is a bit run down and in need of either a refit or a deep clean to try and freshen it up

Had the freedom breakfast here on Saturday morning and it was poor. Bacon & beans were cold & the fried egg yolks were hard. Staff were really lovely and polite when they served us. They didn't ask how our food was though. Maybe they already knew. Pub is in a good location 5 minutes from Hastings seafront. It has loads of seating and an interesting history. Nowhere near as good as the Bexhill Wetherspoons. Should have eaten there.

Wetherspoons are cheap pubs and attract the sort of people that are on a budget but want to stay out all day..bar staff dont care whether they serve you or not. Been in one you've been in them all!!!?

Very cheap beer and by the looks of it nice food. Staff served with a smile and fast . Normal for a spoons pub. The place was half full. The only let down was the Plies of empty glasses and plates left on tables and on the floor

The food was crap. Food can cold and burnt.

Ordered halloumi wraps wasn’t asked if I wanted a side with it. It arrived to be halloumi fries shoved in a wrap with a sauce which wasn’t even sweet chilli. Told the staff member who was cleaning the table next to us to be told oh we haven’t done the grilled halloumi for ages so I said well maybe I should have been told as I would have ordered just halloumi fries. No care in the world about complaints and assuming this person was in a managerial role as he was wearing different uniform

I went there over the weekend for breakfast and managers special, all was very tasty. It is very busy place with good atmosphere and quick service.

Went with family, 4 adult meals and 4 children's meals along with drinks, (1 alcoholic), all excellent and only £62.91 total, outstanding value.

Standard English breakfast served so fast! Pub atmosphere including the good old sticky tables. Free refills for coffee.

Went for breakfast twice during our stay in Hastings. Always quiet and could find a seat. Easy to order using the app and drinks came quickly followed by the food. Hot and delicious and drinks were easy to get for the refills. Friendly and prompt service.

The food is good value, but kacking in vegetables.

Nice pub with a charming cheeky blonde girl processing us at entry. Strict covid procedures. Had a lovely seat on an open balcony and great value food and drink. Unfortunately on this occasion the app didn’t work apart from that everything was fine. Returned post covid recently and the app was working that enables ordering from your table The facility is modern and clean and represents extremely good value for money. Can never work out why the majority of Wetherspoons have toilets upstairs and many don’t have lifts. Visited again on the 18th off August 2024 standards are excellent table clearing and cleaning was prompt staff exceptionally friendly and professional especially Alex who always had a smile and a greeting she is a credit to the organisation. There is a disabled toilet downstairs now with radar key access

Some Spoons are in elegant old buildings tastefully done and in keeping with the locality, some are basic and does what it says on the tin, the Logie Baird is the latter and although good value for money, excellent service lacks the tender love and care of others in their chain. But you get what you get and if nothing else, it is near to the train station to pop in for one before heading from Hastings. The pub opposite is worth checking out btw as the mosaic at the entrance is a splendid example of Victorian elegance. Back to Spoons...it does the job.

Usual Weatherspoon great ales at superb prices.

Couldn't help being a little disappointed after leaving this spoons. I usually find spoons staff very approachable and friendly but here they seemed to be merely trying to get through the day. Maybe i was missing something. Anyway, very much your run of the mill spoons with a raised area opposite the bar. And even after everything I've said, the Guinness was still excellent

Huge place with no atmosphere. Entry level drinking for the town.

Typical 'Spoons. Good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. Service was okay even when busy. Very much a place for visitors so don't expect much in the way of ambience. All in all a good value venue for refuelling.

A typical spoons. Food was quickly served and good. Staff friendly didn't try the beer as a bit too early. Mind you. The place was full of ☠ pirates

A great restaurant right in the city center, with plenty of choice for everyone. Very good and inexpensive! We ate there twice during our weekend! The ciders are delicious!

Visited several times while on a short break. Even when busy service was good and the staff pleasant. Typical 'Spoons - good selection of reasonably priced food and drinks.

Food was served very quickly and was of excellent quality. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. At these, typical Wetherspoons, bargain prices, there is everything to recommend this pub.

I'm a fan of wetherspoons pubs, so while on holiday in Hastings, I had to go and check out this one. Great atmosphere 👌 the good was good 👍🏻 a nice friendly place

The prices here are 40/50% less than the Yates over the road they also have at table ordering which is convenient the app also has waiting times for food or drink so that's helpful food is as you would expect here , the atmosphere can be loud and rowdy if that's not your thing I would go elsewhere if you can handle it the place is fine for a few drinks and a cheap meal

Really busy lunchtime, and needs a bit of an update. Curry is always really good and choice of ales great at a good price

Went in for Work Team breakfast. Fantastic choice, large quantity and very good value for money. No problem in moving furniture to accommodate larger groups with staff giving options. Easy going atmosphere and no fuss payment by using the app and ordering as we went at the table so no standing or waiting at the bar.

Ordered on the app and the drinks were delivered quickly.

Very boisterous atmosphere. waiter took my pint away but realised it was like half full so brought it back, wacking out a 5 on service for that one because it gave us a good laugh. I wasn't a fan of the chips and the onion rings were a little overdone for me, but I enjoyed the burger. My wife wasn't massively happy with the her meal though as she found the burger and rest of the plate very dry compared to other spoons. While the atmosphere and food was a touch disappointing, the staff were honestly fantastic and a good laugh.

Not the best Spoons ever, but on a cold, wet and windy day in May, it was warm and dry, so much so we stayed for a couple of hours while waiting for our bus back to Northiam

Normal Wetherspoons, service good, (better when using the app) . Food good but cold plates so food does get cold quick.

Friendly place, good service. Prices were impressive compared to other spoons. £7.50 for fish and chips and large drink as it was before 1700 on weekday, good value for money, just as good as £15 meal elsewhere

Very un-Wetherspoon-like service here - quick and friendly. Decent punters, too. Cheap and delicious beer as is usually the case with these places.

During my visit 20/05/2024 I was in the ladies toilets and I saw a short young barmaid with dark hair comforting a rather distressed older woman. She was clearly busy and still took time out of her day to listen to her and offer her a shoulder to cry on. Service was an incredible 5/5, with friendly bar staff and waiters. The interaction I overheard definitely made the service stand out more. Atmosphere was not too great as the pub is rather run down and bleak. Food came out cold but was presented really well.

Every day of our stay we had breakfast and dinner at unbeatable prices.

Bit drab, although quite busy we sat outside in the entrance hallway, this area could do with a repaint.

The staff is disgusting and rude. If there was a 0 rating here, I would give it without hesitation. The staff, especially the manager, are rude. Doesn't want to listen to the client's opinion. I came with my dish, which I couldn’t even eat because the meat was like rubber, , to which he replied that this was exactly what I ordered. The meat was rubbery, even with it I tried to cut it near the manager and couldn’t. To which he replied that he did not see a problem in this and would not return my money. There is a sense of personal hostility. I didn't even ask for a refund, I just wanted to tell him that. As a result, I got a ruined evening and a disgusting attitude from the manager. 0 stars for this establishment, don’t even lose your time there.

Sorry, I thought ours was bad! It wasn't any major problem as it's rough 1/10 with smooth 9/10 for "my" lovely chain, however I can't say I needed more than 2 pints (superbly served as ever) before I decided this ones not for me! STILL, EXCELLENT bar staff & you don't need me to tell you, excellent prices. Bexhill was top notch btw. I'm no snob!

I was very disappointed at being asked to leave because we had a small yorkie dog under the table in the outside front patio area. we were the only people outside having a drink. because of the sign on the door saying no dogs, we choose to sit outside where there are no similar signs. We were not affecting any other customers. I've since checked your pet policy, and I'm shocked you don't allow pets, especially one, so small. I, for one, a customer who will not be returning. Perhaps your policy is one reason wetherspoons are closing so many pubs.

Started ordering a gin & tonic and the word “gin” had barely left my lips when the blonde guy with a beard at the bar went “HAVE YOU GOT ID”. I am 32 with wrinkles, a beard and tattoos. If he wanted to thorough then fair enough but there was no need to be rude. Thankfully the rest of the experience was okay with reasonably priced drinks & a clean environment.

Excellent Service at the bar and a very good selection of food. Did not wait long for food at around 6.00pm Disabled toilets on Ground floor and general toilets up two 2 flights of stairs. Prices reasonable and some unbeatable offers on beer, wine and some spirits. Well done Wetherspoons. Desserts reasonably priced with good portions. 👍😷🙏🥧🍰Cardboard boxes available for excess food on your plate if needed 👍Top-Ups on Tea, Chocolate, Coffee etc at no extra cost. 👍

The only redeeming quality of this Wetherspoons is the food as you know the quality of food you’re ordering. Went on a busy day a few weeks ago with a couple of mates. After ordering our food one mate of mine had a duplicate of his small plate brought to the table as well as his food he’d originally ordered. He went to the bar to request a refund as he had not ordered 2 of the same thing but the app had added an additional order on top. The guy at the bar was in no mood to accept the refund so instantly denied his request without even making any form of effort, after my mate had asked why he was told the ‘manager’ would come over and speak to him at the table to assist with the issue. The ‘manager’ then showed up and after speaking to my friend accepted the refund but claimed that my friend was at fault and if he had ordered double of a regular meal they would not have been able to process his refund. Baring in mind the last time I had visited this Weatherspoons my other mate who was also there today and encountered the same issue and instantly got refunded. After we had spoken to the ‘manager’ for the rest of the time we where at this spoons all of the staff kept looking over at us and commenting to one another as our table was visible from the kitchen/food prep area. As I previously said we had visited on a relatively busy day which lead to us finding a table in the corner against the wall and you’d have to fully push the table out the way to get in and out of the 2 cushioned seats this would have been a major issue if we where required to evacuate the building quickly due to a fire. Just go to the McDonald’s or KFC or the independent restaurants or shops in the area. At least then you’d have a more enjoyable time as I’d bet the staff members would be more polite and accepting to there customers.

Another bog standard Spoons in a former shop. Staff are efficient and pleasant, food is good, service is quick, , not too busy and a nice mix of people.

This food was amazing especially for the price. But the best thing about this weatherspoons is the staff and I would like to make special mention to Nina who was a lovely friendly waitress

Ordered meal. It was delivered though we were surprised that it included a lump of undercooked meat. Asked for it to be cooked after asking if server was sure it was ours. It was she said. We expected a Mediterranean salad with roast veg.manager then came over and said "didn't you think it was odd that you got sirlion?" Before I could answer he walked away. My American guest's mouth dropped open. NOT A GOOD CS EXPERIENCE.

Amazing price, food is good, better than you'd expect for something so affordable. It's busy, but I guess that's a spoons thing. But great staff, friendly, accommodating.

I go.to weatherspoons a lot.i like yhe food. But at this one there was a you manager and he was a absolute horrible personnel was argumentative about anything I can't eats potatoes and he would let me.swap for anything and kept going to the kitchen yo ask chef he should know what they an swap and not which took time and killed the atmosphere. Then they charged my daughter for meal and drink and didn't give her the drink. They said if u don't ask for it you don't get this is new to me. Was he having a bad day because he done a good job of spoiling our experience. I live in london and have never experienced this kind of manager before 99 % of them are accommodating to slight changes. I hope they pick up on this review and teach this manager and the chef to be a bit more kinda to customers.

Grandson treated me to steak and chips. Well within his means and very tasty! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Security staff have serious issues. 2230 I left my friend and my beer, go tesco get groceries before it closes. Returned and told not allowed in with shopping, I asked why he said policy, me questioning it isnt wrong. He said I need to leave them outside, asked a perplexed barmaid inside. Went to get stuff, denied! He followed me all around as I said ok will get bag inside and beer politely. Nope! As I left I was shoved out *ASSAULTED* so am going to report this to the police as his force was not needed as I offered 'peaceful exit'.

Have not used the pub for about 5 years food is always being moaned about because it hasn't been done in the microwave long enough

It's a Weatherspoon's and does exactly what it says on the tin. Cheap quality beer and food. Extensive menu, great for kids and brilliant value.
