A long time since Ive been here, but down for the day and hungry for some chips! I was keen to see if they were still as good here. I seemed to wait a while, but they were busy , and it means everything is fresh. Service was polite and friendly and a piece of lemon was tucked in as well. Fish was large for a medium , fresh and cooked to perfection. The chips were huge for a medium and again cooked to perfection. I sat on a bench across the road and enjoyed

Soggy batter and chips, tasted absolutely terrible and definitely not fresh. £50 worth of food for my family and 90% was left uneaten. When we called to complain they answered with “what do you us to do about it?”. Offered a free cod and chips next time but there will definitely never be a next time. AVOID.

I got a large chips and to be honest they were perfect really crispy and they weren’t too oily, the lady was lovely and just a great place to buy food. Wasn’t to expensive either

Just had 3 fish (Cod) and large chips. The fish certainly wasn't Cod but it "was all batter

Chicken was cold - particularly in the middle.

We were hungry so this was perfect!

A regular chips is enormous and we had more than plenty for 6 of us. The two battered sausages we ordered were overcooked and tough and the batter was nearly impenetrable, same went for the cod roe, batter very hard which was a shame as everyone else in our party enjoyed the food.

I'm not sorry it was early, was hungry great food and thanks for being early 😋

Wow, this is seriously gorgeous Fish and Chips! Arriv ed bang on time, generous portions and served with a delicious Sauce Tartare, and lemon wedges. We are super impressed and very grateful. Thank you Catch 22, you rock! We'll be seeing you, for sure ❤

was early but I was really happy with that, I was starving! Great food.

did not receive my order was given two time slots which both passed without any food after two hours went to the restaurant only to be told it was nothing to do with them ,I then had to cancel my order and make a fresh order in store which wasn't a problem but my granddaughter didn't get her takeaway until 9pm way past her bedtime ,a phone call from just eat or KFC to say they couldn't deliver would have been nice but not to get any phone call is very disappointing to say the least

Food was really greasy and saveloy was over cooked crispy at the end

I would off liked salad with my cheese burger as I know they do it when you go into the chip shop and looks very nice when my friend had one .

Food was late but to be fair they did tell us it was delayed.

Chips were like they had been re cooked and fish was also not freshly cooked

called by driver at 7.01pm he says outside noone there. I call him back. engaged. called again he says he on his way to me calls again to say outside I have to call to him about where I live. food been out for over 20 mins by time he got to me. not hot very disappointed

Greatest delivery I've ever had

Ive used Catch 22 quite a few times over the last year. Consistently good chips, nice staff, decent portions. Only not 5 stars as they took a long time to adapt to Covid risks and allowed too many customers in without masks. They are better at it now though. Edited two 3 stars as food quality became sadly inconsistent

great food and service. was booked for a trimmed delivery but came a few minutes early but that could just be the driver getting a good journey! Amazing portion sizes (a regular chips feeds two adults with plenty left over) and perfectly cooked!!

Catch 22 was recommended to me by a friend who lives locally. One of the best fish and chips I ever tasted! The fish was absolutely spot on and chips were out of this world 🌎!! Staff were so accommodating and also very friendly, my children absolutely loved the free lollipops. We'll definitely visit again when in the area.

The fish was rock hard you could thrown it at brick wall and could bounce back. Same as the cod bite same.. the protion are not that great for money.

said food would be delivered between 18.10 -18.30 but arrived 17.45 therefore had to try and keep hot as some diners were not coming in for dinner until 18.15, which meant food was a bit dried up

Excellent presentation, chips cooked properly, chunk of lemon, tub of tartare sauce, vinegar and sald sachets were a nice touch. Food hot and tasted excellent. Best fish n chips I've had in years!

Food smelt nice when driver handed it to me but unfortunately quite a few of my partners chips as far too many and we ordered the smallest size available and cod ended up in the dog as the Fish was over cooked and smaller than other chippy medium in Hastings. It was like gave u small charged medium .No option to add sauce in my vegetable burger so tasted plain and I just about managed my box of cheesy chips which is far smaller than his bag of the smaller size without cheese, wven dog had last few mine as i struggled but his was like two or three portions in one, if i did order again id only buy the one regular chips but doubtful after £30 wasted, my partner ended up having some of the fish cake i had bought the dog and all in all i was left feeling disappointed and left wishing i had shopped around as other chippies prices on just eat was cheaper and may or may not have met our needs better.neither of us has eaten since lunchtime or before.i have bought from you in the past back in October 2022 and been more satisfied , the chips was my fault as was larger in size then other chippies last tome i hust gorhot i only needed thebone portion between two fully grown adults but the food quality has gone downhill from when my partner used to live in ore a few years ago. have u changed ownership?

Ordered medium cod and chips. The Fish was tiny and thin, more batter than fish and the majority 0f chips were rock hard leftover bits. I will not use them again. I have used catch 22 before and have been happy

Our food tasted as if had been cooked and left heated for ages and also nearly £8 for a pie and chips. Saveloy rock hard

The chips were just small crispy bits and over priced at £5 for a large portion. And the Huss at £10 was very over cooked or re cooked, very hard batter which I had to cut off and throw away. Only the cod roe was anywhere edible. Not worth the money so don’t bother. Never used the restaurant

2 Senior cod and chips were fine contained 2 medium-small fish and good portion of chips other order 1 medium and 1 large chips and what arrived was large chips and small cod smaller than senior portion. yet costed almost twice as much. Feel ripped off again by catch 22

Small piece of fish covered over by the chips. Fish was not freshly cooked tasted like it had been reheated. Chewy bater. Will not use again. Partner had chicken said this was nice.

I walked in the shop in the week and ordered large chips a huge portion so i ordered a delivery of medium chips and fish the size was poor the fish was hot but the chips were just warm

Chips seemed to be cooked several times over and were dry Chicken and mushroom pie had a burnt lid and it was also dry.

Fantastic fish and chips from Catch 22, Ore, Hastings - quality Rock Huss and Haddock, great Calamari, good Scampi, excellent chunky chips (chips portions were massive). Food arrived early (which was great) - polite and friendly delivery person. This was first time I’ve got fish and chips from this shop and will use again, and would recommend. Very Happy - thank you Catch 22.

Went there as they are newish owners some people said they were good but staff were miserable ordered pie and chips wish I hadn't the pie was hard as rock the chips were like they had been sitting there all day never will I go in this place again unless owners change

Cooked to order was lovely and fresh. Fish was tasty and not overcooked. Big portions and well worth the money. Good variety of foods to choose from and you can order ahead. Well worth a visit.
