Emerald cafe in Hastings

The food was nice but the price was outrageous, I was really upset as I walked out hungry although I paid £10 (with no drink). I bought the single breakfast and I literally had ONE sausage ONE rash on bacon, 3 salad leafs and an egg.. mushrooms were £1.50 on top.. i was not happy at all.. the price is far too much for what you get.. it also said it came with beans but no beans were given. I work in the area and I am confident to say I wont be back.

I haven't been inside yet but used the delivery service and the team are great. So polite and thoughtful. Food is great also by the way and doesn't hurt the pocket too much also. Well done guys. Keep it up. Great work

Everytime I order from Uber eats they have been consistent. They have always looked at the instructions and taste perfect for an English breakfast. Best English breakfast in this area and very good attention to detail.

Lovely little spot, great food!

Everytime I come here I feel welcomed, the customer service is great. The young lad who works there is so polite. I go here with my kids/friends, we have buggies too and the staff always help us arrange seating.

First time ordered from uber eats had the English breakfast must say I was impressed good tasting food and even better prices will be ordering again food was a bit on the cold side but that's just the delivery timings so can't fault the restaurant

Lovely cafe.the coffee was good. The cup was so nice and the golden cutlery added luxury to the whole stay. The serving lady and the guy making the food, they both were great. The pancakes were presented in a breath taking way. They looked like from the kitchen of some five star hotel. The ceiling is also very nice.

Real gem of a place, I found about this place through ordering online first, I was impressed so much had to give it a visit a d I haven't looked back. I really enjoyed everything from their full English to desi breakfast lunch full of flavor, chais are awesome! I have been here 3 times this week, give it a go you might not want to leave :)

Great cafe in Goodmayes park, nice please to pick up a coffee or enjoy breakfast. The portion sizes are very generous for the prices. Please so visit so they get the footfall the deserve!

Lovely little place to go to. Staff are friendly, service is quick. I've only had a drink there before (latte, mocha or tea)- that's why I only gave them a 4 star for food (because I've never eaten there) but the drinks have always been good.

Nice family run cafe in the heart of Goodmayes Park. Seating available both inside and outdoors (great when the weather is good). Lots of choices for hot and cold drinks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will keep you coming back to try other options on the menu. It's also very good value.

Really enjoy eating here. We come here atleast once a month. The kids even request it every time they've had a few hours around the park.

10 of had a small get together at Goodmayes Park. Spend most of the day there playing a friendly game of cricket and other sports. The cafe is so convinietly located right next to the playing fields that made it so easy to grab some quick drinks. We decided to have our lunch at the cafe and were not disappointed. There was sufficient space to sit inside but with the nice weather we decided to munch outside. Staff were really accomodating despite it causing them the extra work. There were other customers dining in there and with us there as well, it was very busy. But ordering process was seamless. Most of us had the all day breakfast and fish and chips. Despite being busy, they brought the food to the table at a good pace and everyones plate was beautifully presented and food was hot and tasted equally good. Overall, start to end a great experience. Fanatic food and service with a smile. We will definitely visit again and already planning to hold next year's school reunion there. Well done and keep it up!

Lovely restaurant, 1st class service, delicious food 😊

Tried the English Breakfast and The Med, and french toast with fruit. Everything was well cooked and tasted lovely. Service could definitely be a little more attentive and it can become quite hot and humid sitting inside on a summers day. Always double check your receipts as I was charged twice for one of the meals which I had to point out to the lady at reception who then refunded me for being over charged.

Lovely small cafe and very nice food. Very good service too. Huge choice of food. We will definitely visit this place again and try some of the other things on the menu. I love walking in parks and we came looking for this cafe as read about it somewhere. Very glad we came a long way to visit emerald cafe.

Emerald is a lovely cafe to eat and spend time with family, the coffees and drinks were very tasty and sensational. The food was nice and was definitely worth the price. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely, she gave a very good service and made us feel welcome, I would love to be served by her again and will surely come again!

Honestly I don’t understand how it has so many good reviews. I can’t help but think that it’s people they personally know that have left them. I’ve been waiting so long to attend this cafe but unfortunately was left extremely disappointed. Firstly upon entering, we felt immediately unwelcome, not one smile from anybody, no welcome nothing. As Muslims, it’s not something I’d expect whatsoever. Secondly no air in there, way too warm and stuffy. Thirdly considering it’s in the middle of a park (with loads of babies and toddlers) of course, it had no high chair and that alone is enough for me to never return. Fourth, it’s extremely overpriced considering their portioning. The chips were also undercooked and the scrambled eggs I ordered for my baby were microwaved and she never even touched it. Also ordered and paid for extra beans and receiving just 2 tablespoons full is ridiculous. However, the fried eggs and hash browns were lovely but unfortunately we will not return again. I don’t often leave reviews but Inshallah this review makes the owner consider some changes for the sake of his future customers. Staff really need to be friendly, especially working in that environment and industry, honestly if we weren’t starving upon arriving I would’ve walked out and not returned.

Staffs need to bit more compassionate when using toilet specially on weekends when people play cricket. Pavilion no have toilet service and been told use cafe toilet but cafe toilet staffs are refusing but they use pavilion storage where players supposed have shower

I ordered the breakfast bagel this morning and it was 10/10. I called the restaurant to inform them because when I've had issues I have called to complain and the always resolved any issues very quickly but today I was extremely pleased with the quality and taste and the speed of the delivery and had to let them know.

If you live around Dagenham then you must visit this place for English breakfast, even for a cuppa. It's in the middle of Goodmays park. Just visited them today and glad to see their beautiful sitting arrangement facing park.

Horrible experience and service. If have any allergy they will refuse you any food. And will do it in a very rude way. Abysmal and disgusting behaviour.

One of the worst Cafe in the area. We did not feel welcome.Owner was talking over the phone and ignored us. It’ seemed like he called upon council enforcement on some kids playing with soft ball on the ground adjacent to his cafe. Place stinks and the attitude of the caffe owner is quite frankly hostile.

Great little cafe with a lovely menu! Love the decor, making the place nice and cosy! I would have given 5 stars but I feel like service with a smile would really have made all the difference.. Lady at the till also looked annoyed when I asked her to repeat herself as I missed what she said.. Otherwise, highly recommend anyone visiting the park to pop in!

LOVE, LOVE & LOVE !!!!! The cafe is Located in the middle of an airy public park, full of greenery. Once you’re inside, you are met with a beautiful décor of vines, flowers and plants. The staff are really friendly and they take your order with a smile on their face. The food absolutely tasteful! I have been here twice; once in a group of 18 people and second in a group of 6. On both occasions they was able to get the food on time and hot. I think I found my hot stop with my friends ! …..Overall….. Venue: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Staff: 10/10

This is awesome! One of the best coffees I’ve had (better than costa/Starbucks) and for an incredibly reasonable price. And the chocolate croissant was fresh and delicious. High quality chocolate. Delicious coffee hit the spot. Perfect balance. And the atmosphere is very cosy but also very high end like a cafe in London. Comfy to sit in, warm. I’m proud this cafe is in my local area and hope all locals discover it. Whoever designed and manages this place knows what they are doing. And the barista knows how to make a coffee. I hope the quality and price does not deteriorate as many other businesses do over time as this is what makes it 5* and there is free parking all day :)

Have taken wife and kids to this cafe a few times now, kids absolutely love it, the staff are so nice and the food is lovely, wife already planning when to go again!! Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd visit with my husband. First time I took my guests for breakfast treat and everyone loved the food, services and the atmosphere. This is one of my favourite cafe in this town so far. I will use Emerald cafe for my go to cafe from now on…. I just love their effort on the food decorations yet well maintained their food quality and taste..Highly recommend

I took my wife there. We had a nice breakfast. The food quality was very good. Price was really reasonable and their hospitality was good too.

The food was nice but I felt the mushroom portion was tiny and cut so small you can barely taste them. Everything else was great. Highly recommend this little cafe. It's aesthetic and cute little find and will be a huge hit in the warmer weather.

Visited Emerald Cafe today with my husband. It’s situated within Goodmayes park and has a very cosy vibe, the decor is tasteful and not in your face. We ordered the burgers for lunch aswell as loaded fries, it was very tasty. We also had Karak and Masala Chai which were also very comforting in this Autumn weather. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. They really made our visit there even better which is very rare. My husband and I were very happy with the music playing. We will definitely visit again and try something different. A MUST visit Cafe :)

What can I say.... just amazing! Food, decor and staffing were all on point!

They put a great care into the food. They warm up your chocolate croasant, put a pretty flower in your english breakfast and add a picture on your cappucino. Cozy little place ideal for working on laptop.

Please see below picture for so called Egg Benedict. I don’t have a picture for the pancake I order but that was dry and stale. I have no evidence but I strongly believe the pancake was bought in a store and reheated. I spent around £20 on food that ended up in the bin.

Beautiful decor, excellent customer service. The masala chai and hazelnut croissant was nice. I wish they had offered sugar with the chai though. It is not sweetened like chai wala.

Well maintained and clean. The environment is comforting. There is a parking area. It's located inside Goodmayes Park. First time in attendance. The decorations is very nice. You may eat inside or outside. Their chili sauce is something really nice and the menu is really good. They have offers so do ask when you arrive. Kids menu is there to for selection. Bathroom well maintained. I believe customers only access. Food Service - pretty quick. Taste and presentation - very good. Price - very decent. 4/5 I would give. I definitely recommend to visit if you are near by. We will come again.

Great looking cafe, the decor is really nice. From what I could see the food looked fine. My only problem was that I ordered a milksake and it literally was just a glass of milk with fresh cream squirted on top.

Small, cosy cafe with beautiful interior. The food was great and staff were extremely attentive to our needs. Couldn't have had a better experience! I loved my vegetarian brunch meal and would go again just for those vegetarian sausages. Location was really nice, first time I've been in a cafe inside a park :) thank you for a lovely experience.

Had a very enjoyable lunch today with my toddler. They serve all day breakfast with a smile and I felt very welcome and comfortable there. The servings were very generous and we had to take the rest home in a takeaway box. My toddler loved her mini English breakfast and both our meals were beautifully presented with a flower on the plate. I’ve only tried chana masala once before and the one served as part of my meal tasted pleasantly different. Like it had lemongrass or something in it which was an unexpected touch but really worked (could be wrong but that’s how it tasted to me). They also have fresh croissants and pastries at the counter and I think I saw some milkshakes and various coffees and Frappuccinos on the menu. The menu is not overly long, which according to Gordon Ramsey is a good thing as it means the items they do are done well. The decor is beautiful and it’s very clean, both in the seating area and the toilets. I like also that the sink is outside the toilet cubicle so we didn’t have to stand next to the toilet to wash our hands, which can be a challenge with little ones. The young man who served us was very attentive, warm and friendly. There were three staff in and all were welcoming and wore a smile. I don’t know the area very well but they kindly gave me directions to where I wanted to go and even came to find us after I’d left my child’s water bottle behind. Next time I’d like to try a crepe which looked very tempting.

If you guys are at the goodmays park then I recommend you guys to go to Emerald Cafe Bistro all the staffs there are friendly and they are lovely people so do be shy and head to Emerald Cafe Bistro and they close at 6pm

This is my favourite café which I regularly go to. Love their smoothies, particularly the Tropical Delight and Sweet Melody, their cakes and their breakfast.

Good little cafe to have a rest whilst dog walking! Lovely clean toilet facilities too. Choice of milks so flat white with oat milk was great. Staff very friendly too. A must if you're on Goodmayes park.

Was surprised that a cafe opened at one of the local parks, have been suggested to go give it a try to post a review on insta , wanted to try the English breakfast but didn't have too much time so I thought I'd try the hot dog for now and come back for the breakfast on the weekend. Absolutely horrified to see mould on the hot dog bun. Cant believe the chef saw that and thought it was okay to serve to customers. Poor quality control on ingredients is bad as it is but when it is so obvious (on the outside easy to see) and they still serve that gives me confidence in what they would serve when things are expired but not too visible. I was offered a replacement but most likely the bun would have come out the same expired packet so I refused.

Fantastic place to have a nice cup of coffee. The service, decor and staff are superb. Keep up the great work!

The best chai latte I’ve ever had by the lady who works there, Sharon! I only purchase this when she’s there as when I went there previously when she wasn’t there, the drinks weren’t as good as hers. Best customer service with Sharon I’ve ever had and thoroughly enjoy the cakes. Thank you for such amazing customer service and will defo be visiting back for a chai latte, smoothie and homemade cakes 👏🏽🥰

We were kindly allowed to use this cafe for a private dinner and coffee meet up for a group of 20 Sisters. The atmosphere was lovely, very cosy and really felt like a night out because of the beautiful decor. The food was delicious as always and it was just a perfect spot to have a nice social wind down without the kids! The staff - Sharon and Sama were so hospitable and polite. Nothing to fault! Look forward to going back! Alhamdulillah. :)

The food was definitely a 10/10 I am usually a very picky eater but this was surprisingly very good. The customer service was also very good, the boy who was working there at the time even gave me an extra milkshake which i appreciated and a very kind gesture. highly recommend the place.

Best breakfast place around the area, 100%! Always fresh, well cooked, amazing and efficient service too. Inside the cafe is beautifully decorated, lady at the front is very welcoming and the owner loves his customers too! Will definitely be coming back. You can order their food through Uber too, it comes well packaged and fresh!

Recommend a hot chocolate that's done by the lady who runs the bistro and excellent service. Disabled and toilets, also a bowl of water for the dog and has become one of my favourite places when on holiday here.

First time visiting Emerald Cafe, amazing atmosphere as the cafe is located in the middle of a park, brilliant customer service and the food was lovely. Would defo recommend to others 👌🏿👌🏿

We went in here for some coffee and lunch, both of which we were disappointed with. The coffee was awful and took forever to come and the ‘giant’ jacket potato that cost almost £10 was nothing special and average sized, definitely not worth the price.

The owner was rude, the service slapdash, and the food mediocre and overpriced. While we were there the party at the next table walked out because the owner was so arrogant and condescending when they asked a question about the menu.
