We loved it in here. Had a cracking time trying a couple of the beers. Thought the exhibition of postcards upstairs was rather, erm, Hastings. Atmosphere was great. Guy behind the bar was really friendly too. Definitely returning.

Such a friendly welcoming place from the minute I entered with a smile from the owner and those there. I first went because I saw a notice in the Hastings Independent that there was a Ska Sunday afternoon. I was staying in the area and wanted to mingle and this was perfect with the music at a level that we could talk as well as appreciate it. I asked a local friend to join me and we really enjoyed ourselves. I introduced us to the owners and the DJ as being DJs ourselves and when I went back the next evening to another local friends' exhibition closing party (there is a lovely upstairs place), the owner said he would already like to book both of us to play there an evening in October! They have acoustic music, spoken word, monthly DJ afternoons or evenings and an amazing array of drinks - with nut snacks if you like as well. Every time I have been everyone is genuinely friendly and it was fine going on my own or with friends. I highly recommend this lovely place!

You get a genuine, friendly welcome here. A good chat with the owner or the regulars. There’s an interesting selection of beers in an interesting venue. You can try the ales before you buy. Dog friendly. Takeaway food is permitted. It’s got a very relaxed vibe about it. I will be going back for sure!

Another great addition to the top of Queens Road - really good beers and the gin menu looks good. There’s now a good trail open with the Imperial, Fountain, Drift Bar and now this one - enjoy

Staff in here extremely friendly. We went during a takeover weekend and had a few samples to ensure we had a beer we enjoyed. Prices good... This end of Queens road is becoming a pretty good choice for unique beers.

This is a gem of a spot, the owner and staff really know their food and drink, they use the very best ingredients and both food and drink is locally sourced wherever possible. The whole dining experience is first class, the atmosphere is relaxing and unhurried, then as an added bonus there is a great view of the sea, I thoroughly recommend.

Visited St Clement's for a significant birthday dinner. The restaurant had a lovely old-fashioned ambience and just for a change, the music was tasteful and played at an acceptable, low volume . The service was first-rate throughout. I started with moules, which were excellent and came with a lemon-infused à la crème sauce, which was divine. That was followed by pan-fried halibut, with a risotto and whilst the halibut was cooked to perfection, I wasn't overly-impressed by the risotto. I explained to the maître d, that I was pretty exacting when it came to risotto, having been trained how to make it, in Venice, so perhaps I expected too much. The above was washed-down with an excellent Touraine Sauvignon blanc. I considered having a dessert, but found the menu lacking in classics, such as tarte au citron and traditional crème brûlée (they had one with rhubarb!), so I passed. The meal wasn't cheap, but was reasonably priced and I would happily return to St Clement's.

Great place to comeand eat, I was greeted by the friendly staff on arrival and could see the locals being made to feel welcome. It's my second time here and I felt as though I was welcomed in with open arms. Great service nothing I added was to much trouble. Food was tasty and fresh. We will be back.
