The service was good but my drinks have gone up 5 pounds in a week last sat oct 11 th 2020 paid 18 pounds for wine a lot of money but accepted this week 23 pounds for same house wine .Food ok but when bill comes to over 100 pounds I expect value not to be ripped off .Staff lovely but value for money nil.Very disappointed as been going there for a long time and had hoped loyalty would be valued .Food tasty but overpriced for what you get. Went here the other night with a few mates, had some great drinks, cocktail menu was a bit limited but was assured that soon they'll be releasing a new menu as they've had trouble with sourcing because of covid. The staff were friendly, I think our server was called Jess and she couldn't of made our visit any better. Definitely would recommend

Quite possibly the worst cocktails I’ve ever had and such a shame as the place looks cool from outside! Seeing as they call themselves a cocktail bar and only serve a small range you would like to think they have them perfected. Total opposite. Weak tasting bland cocktails with cheap ingredients unfortunately result in no flavour or depth!!

Awful service. Cocktails very weak. Didn't even get seated by any staff. Won't be visiting again. Ruined my birthday

They served me sparkling water instead of my cocktail and would not give me my cocktail after I said it was wrong. I paid £7 for sparkling water. Terrible

Great food, service slow. We visited here one lunchtime. The restaurant was far from full. The service was slow but friendly and the food was excellent. Very reasonable prices. We will return!

This was our first time to Hastings and for lunch this place caught our eye as shown as a ‘brasserie’. Everything was just ‘off the mark’. Service was extremely slow despite only being about 7 tables in use. We had to wait about 15 mins to get our order taken and then 25 mins for food to arrive. All the furniture was ‘sticky’ because it hadn’t been cleaned properly and then we asked for it to be cleaned, the cloth it was cleaned with was so disgustingly dirty, it explained why it was sticky in the first place! Looking around I could see the place just needed a good clean - once you looked at edges and on top of fire extinguishers you could see they were black. During Covid, things should be deep cleaned! Food was below average and tasteless. I hate giving bad reviews but I struggle to find anything positive to say.

I rarely leave reviews but just had to after my experience here tonight. We are on holiday and don't know the area - on phoning random places yesterday found most already booked due to the eat out scheme, so we decided to head into town to try our luck tonight. We just happened to stumble upon Walkers and they had space for us (and a hungry and somewhat demanding toddler). The food was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. There was a little wait,but nothing out of the ordinary, and staff were very apologetic about it. We felt very comfortable in what seemed like an adult place, with a toddler, and he enjoyed his food too! On receiving the bill it was a pleasant surprise that they were in the Eat Out scheme too, I have no idea why it wasn't busier! Thank you for a lovely meal, and for the excellent service. This is most definitely recomended.

We grab a spot of lunch in Walkers on our recent day trip to Hastings. A great find just off the main shopping area. Good menu selection, friendly staff and great food!

Had an great night out here on a hen night. Music was excellent. Range of drinks were second to none. Staff friendly.

Amazing quality food delivered to your door, fantastic.

Order was marked as delivered however had not yet arrived. Rang restaurant who advised it was still out. Upon requesting new delivery time was updated to 40 minutes after, however then arrived before new time

Delivery was late but given it was a busy Saturday night and they kept me updated still pretty happy. Staff all seemed lovely and food was amazing will certainly order again 🙂

First time I have eaten here, for a Business Christmas lunch. The food was excellent, as was the service. £30 was a little bit expensive, but I would definitely eat here again.

Ordered the fish fingers sandwich, it arrived as 2 pieces of toast with tasteless fish fingers inbetween them. It was very dry I ate very little. Other members of our group had salad s which were nice

Visited Walkers for a pre dinner drink with friends early evening. Two for one worked well and we left for dinner happy with the drinks staff and service we had received. Called back after dinner for the same drinks and were greeted with the door team and the more "professional" bar staff. The premises had been cleared of furniture and we had been moved on to plastic glasses. Obviously gets a bit rowdy? Watched the barmen make us a couple of gin and tonics and put so much ice in he only had room for one bottle of tonic in 2 drinks. Paid contactless and never usually ask for receipt. For once I did ask and it was obvious this was unwelcome and I had to wait. Surprise surprise I had been charged for 2 tonics at £2 a time! Will not be revisiting.

We had an early lunch on Thursday 22nd August , indeed we had two coffees at around 11.35 am as they do not take lunch orders until noon! The coffee was good and excellent service. For lunch we had chicken and avocado sandwich and I had a classic beefburger with fries. Excellent. I thought the toilets need sprucing up. I do recommend this restaurant and if I was not driving would have loved to have tried some of their beers! Bill came to £21 for 2 for lunch.

Slightly away from the beach but worth a quick detour, salads today were awesome. Swiss cheese with salt beef and chorizo was larger than it looked, flavourful and just the thing for a warm summer day. Spicey Prawn with roasted tomato avocado and mixed salad, again a decent sized portion. Prawns were pleasantly spicey without being hot and went well with salad. Pina colada a nice accompaniment, I had tea. We only interacted with our waitress who was attentive and polite making sure that we had all we needed without being overbearing. Sat outside under sun shades in an older part of Hastings this one is definitely worth a try. Great atmosphere and setting, we'll be back.Lunchtime brunch, good value for money.Seagulls, many places have a problem with gulls raiding tables especially when people had finished. Walkers didn't have this problem as tables were kept clean and tidy as soon as customers have left.

Staff were lovely and the jug of Pimms for £10 was a steal - having tried another cocktail bar nearby this scored hands down

They use dark pint glasses where you get a cup of foam instead of a pint of beer. Staff could not careless took ages to pour the drink and continually wiped the foam away. Bar lady more interested in cuddling up to her boyfriend then customer service..

Walkers presents on first glance as a slightly classier option than the surrounding bars. Seeing from the outside that they did food and cocktails we decided this was definitely worth a go. Sadly after a long look at the £9 a drink cocktail menu the strawberry daiquiri I had was undrinkable. They do cheaper cocktails apparently. This evening it was a Long Island ice tea but there were from what I gathered meant to be other cocktails within this cheaper price range. The bar lady said as she couldn’t find a menu that she didn’t think they were doing them. Honestly after such a disgusting cocktail (even at £9 I couldn’t drink it!) we decided it was best to avoid the food all together. Just for the record a strawberry daiquiri has muddled fresh fruit in it and it shouldn’t taste predominantly of dark rum. Best to avoid if you want a decent cocktail.

Popped in for a quick gin before heading to the cinema. Don’t know if the barmaid was new but she did ask about the glass we wanted our gin in and held up a hi-ball glass! We soon got that changed to a goblet!Think our timing was good too, as we were able to “double up” for free! Would be rude not to!Love this place for a drink with hubby or friends, it always feels friendly and relaxing.

I ventured in here with an elderly friend even though the restaurant was empty on a Thursday lunchtime. We sat at a table and waited for the young woman at the bar to attend to us. 20 minutes later we were still waiting and watching as she stood chatting to the young chef through a hole in the wall. At no point did she show any interest in us. We decided to leave and as we got up I checked the menu again and my suspicion was confirmed... 'please order at the bar'. Neither of us had noticed this, but with nothing else to do, why did the woman not come over and ask us to order at the bar... or just take our order anyway? To leave us sitting there for over 20 minutes while she just chatted to her colleague in an empty establishment is not good enough.

Beautiful fairy lights line all the windows it's very pretty, spacious with a stylish circular bar. The bartenders are very polite and greeted us as soon as we were through the front door. The drinks were presented nicely but there were no drinks mats. There were large groups of people out for staff Xmas Dinners who were quite noisy. The experience would have been better if these parties were held in a separate room.

Shared a lunch and a few glasses of wine with my friend from bexhill. Cheapest prosecco bottle in hastings!

My daughter works in town and rang me, as I was working at home, to see if I fancied joining her for lunch. Any excuse to leave the house!

Was in Hastings for the weekend and came in both early Friday eve for some food and on Saturday for drinks with friends.

Three lunches and drinks, service was quick, drinks menu, good for beer, food menu ok. Crab and bacon melt, not bad, feared it might be oily, it wasn't, good coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Portions substantial.

Walkers wine bar and bistro is in the heart of the pedestrianised centre of Hastings.

We ordered two cocktails which, at £9 each we expected to enjoy however mine was warm and my partners tasted watery and bland. We both often drink cocktails and expect when paying that amount for it to be enjoyable rather than a badly knocked together drink with poor ingredients. The food was also bland and overpriced. I wouldn’t eat there again. We went to On the Rocks around the corner the day after and my partner had the best Pina Colada he’s ever had and it was £7. Service there was warm, welcoming and friendly too, which the Walkers certainly wasn’t. We are happy to pay higher prices but we expect higher quality to be reflected in both food, drink and service none of this was apparent at Walkers.

Tried to order delivery. Opens at 7, stops delivery st 8. Shocking. Worst order system I have ever heard of.

Met up with friends for lunch which was very nice we had burgers they were tasty, staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. Def go again

Apparently we had a wrong idea of what is a Cesar salad. At walkers it’s mayo dressing (possibly with Parmesan allegedly) spinach and peppers. Fries were good. Service was not great. Also they took our ashtray away and gave it to people who are vaping. So we’re ashing our cigarettes on the ground.

My boyfriend and I dropped by for a quick meal, didn't disappoint! Burgers cooked very well nice and tasty and accompanying chunky chips and sweet potato fries were delicious. I ordered a lemonade and line and was actually offered the juice from a lime rather than assuming I wanted the lime cordial so full marks for asking! Not overpriced, nice surroundings and friendly staff, we will return!

Having been at the Beatles day for several hours we came out at 5pm looking for a bite to eat and was surprised to find walkers serving food at this time on a sunday.

Went here on a whim as it looked inviting. I’ve given it 4 stars because the food was really good. Two negatives were one it definitely lacked any atmosphere and two the service wasn’t great. The waitress staff were ok nothing really to put a finger on but could 100% have been more friendly and welcoming. Would defo go back though as our house burgers were very nice.

Booking made weeks before was lost luckily checked booking week before so re-booked but arrived on day no booking. Menu on line wasn't correct menu so had to 're think our preferences. They did manage to put us upstairs in a room i assume was set up for us. They were apologetic on a positive was food was nice.

Coffee and sandwiches please. Coffee, very nice ta. Sandwiches, pretty poor. Certainly not as described. Prawns missing from a prawn & salmon sandwich, and brown sliced toast where a brioche bun should have been. We ate 'em tho and didn't complain (true Brits). Won't be coming back soon tho...

A group of us meet a couple of times a year for lunch. We have visited Walkers more than once. The menu is small, bar is really well stocked with alot of choice.

Took 2 11 year olds here to celebrate the end of primary school. They had some lovely virgin cocktails and really enjoyed people watching from the comfy sofas. Staff very friendly to them while they were making their choices.

Visited Walker's with a few of my friends and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing, drinks were perfect and service was very friendly. Couldn't find a fault. Had a lovely evening and would definitely recommend to anyone I know! Can't find anywhere else like Walker's in Hastings.

First time ordering from this place. The food was much better than the other places I normally order from but then £15 for burger and chips I’d expect it to be. The chips were cooked to perfection, crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. The burger was a surf and turf which was nice but, prawns in a burger? Thought I’d try it anyway and I was right, I don’t think they should be in a burger, the burger itself was very nice and cooked just right. I also got the garlic mayo sauce which is very garlicy. For some reason I also got some onion rings, I didn’t order them so not sure if it was a mistake or something they do if you spend x amount, either way they were very good and crispy. The one thing I didn’t like was the guy who delivered the food automatically assumed I was giving him a tip, the food came to £14:75 so I gave him £15:75 to make it easy for him and he never offered me any change and just walked away. A bit of a liberty if you ask me. Over all the food is really nice and you can tell a lot of time goes in to the prep and presentation but are burger and chips really worth £15? For the odd treat here and there I think it just might be.

Friendly staff but that's the extent of any praise. They'd run out of the one Craft IPA in the age of the "craft IPA". Would only make a cocktail off of the pre-defined list so couldn't get a Negroni.....in a cocktail bar?! Then they ran out of the vanilla vodka for one of the said cocktails on the list. This on an empty Wednesday in August.

I have always enjoyed a lunch with the girls here for years. Unfortunately this visit has changed my mind about returning. The portion sizes were small, the salad was nothing like it used to be and the chips were tasteless, where have the lovely signature shoe string fries gone? Also the tables and floor looked dirty and overall I think the place has got abit tired, time for a revamp possibly. Shame as I used to love this place, maybe my tastes have changed but I won't be going back for food again.

10 of us assembled before 9.a.m for a meeting upstairs, Guy, the owner offered us real coffee anyway we preferred, a nice touch. The meeting room upstairs was well ventilated and comfortable enough. Four of us took a light lunch afterwards, which was excellent. I'd thoroughly recommend this establishment, the staff are friendly and the daytime atmosphere is conducive to both eating and drinking in comfort.

Visited for lunch around 1.00pm on a Tuesday, for the first time in several years when it used to be a regular haunt for me. Only about 4 tables were occupied, so it was a bit lacking in atmosphere. Not so long ago you'd be lucky to find a free table after 12.30. The menu was more limited than I remember. The chicken burger was good, if unexciting, but came with no more than one bite of salad. The classic burger also looked good, but again was served with no more than a nibble of salad. The service was OK, but then again that was no more than expected as the place wasn't exactly bustling with customers. Service "with a smile" would have been a bonus, and might have encouraged a return visit!

Absolutely amazing just like always! The delivery time is really good and they are always a bit early so that's good especially when you're hungry 👌🏻👌🏻

I have ordered twice now from Walkers and i'm afraid both times have been dissapointing, The burgers sound great but both the cheeseburger and chicken burger were plain in taste, The sizes are big but they lack in flavour. The loaded fries however are great. These I do reccomend. I can not comment on any other food item. The price I paid was around £15 which is a little more expensive then most places in town.

Fancied a spot of lunch with my eldest as we had no youngsters with us!! Place is lovely and obviously attracts the cool customers of Hastings so we thought why not!!Ordered food with some drinks, my daughter ordered a cocktail as a treat!! After 15 minutes she was still waiting so went to enquire, they had forgotten it!! Waitress got rather confused with two tables of food and we were left with chips but no sandwiches so I refused them until the whole order was ready, otherwise chips would have been cold!! Cocktail and food eventually arrived and all was lovely. I had crab and cheese toasted and it was packed with crab, the daughter had chicken which was tender also. A nice treat once the order was right!!

Had a girlie weekend with some friends this place hit the spot. The music was great and as the evening wore on it became very busy. Only down side they run out of pinot grigio very early in the evening

Just had the best burger I've ever tasted anywhere. It was the 'Surf and Turf' which had a chuck steak burger, king prawns, bacon, cheese and mayo, all in a brioche bun. In particular the burger pattie was moist and not cooked to death as so many are. At £9.00 it's highly recommended! Well done chef!

I visited for lunch recently with a couple of friends and was really disappointed to see their menu had changed. I had the new portobello mushroom and halloumi burger, which was quite rubbery and didn't have much flavour.On the side of the plate was a rather pathetic looking salad garnish and the chips now have to be ordered separately, making the meal more expensive than before.

Always been impressed with the lunch menu. But visited today and it's not as good. Still tasty but everything is extra. Chips etc. Also a side salad consisted of a small lettuce leaf and slice of cucumber. We will not visit again which is a shame because we used to enjoy the lunch.

Great food, delivered on time and super tasty!

The food here was amazing!!!! A bit pricey but totally worth it. There is a scary sign on the door warning you to make sure your children behave but we had a 20 month old running around the place and no-one batted an eyelid. Very quiet, really lovely place.

Absolutely amazing burgers...fresh, hot, delicious and delivered in sensible containers that kept warm in a low oven, and were just as scrumptious an hour later. Shoestring fried replaced by yummy normal ones, but no complaints from us!
