The best restaurants serving British food in Eastleigh South East

Popped in for the first time and had a coffee and a slice of Banna loaf, nice friendly service and atmosphere and more importantly very tasty cake 😋

Visited for a drink and tea after coming off a yacht. Handy location for the marina. This bar is really missing a trick - the location is lovely but the actual bar/outside area is just looking a little tired and unloved. We did have fish and chips and it was nice but I really don't like it when they serve your food on paper on a plate. The paper ends up going soggy and breaking into little bits that then stick to your food. Please get rid of the paper - just use plates. Portions not huge, and wasn't cheap. Would visit again as convenient for the marina.

This pub is very lovely with home made food and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The man serving with glasses was very friendly and always smiling and very helpful with explaining items on the menu. Would recommend

Extremely rude Full of attitude young lady serving Us went in for the first time and was so delighted that a local business had this ‪Shop and the surrounding area is so cute we loved the area however it is a shame the breakfast was dripping in oil completely saturated cardboard box that gave in was leaking oil and also the lady serving us was incredibly rude that we will not be returning or recommending this to others she had a very can’t be bothered lazy rude and unpleasant manner about her . We asked her a couple questions about the breakfast and everything seem like too much work for her to even give us a response either. She didn’t like the fact that we were Asians and we were the only Asian of sort in the shop regardless I don’t know what her problem is but she is so unpleasant and you are ruining business by keeping her in this place we have reviewed many breakfast places around Southampton and we never give any bad reviews however this lady is so disappointing There was three people working today. I don’t know her name but she needs to be called out about this we went today on the 16th of April around 2:30 pm. There was a tall lady and another lady and a bit of a old lady. I am talking about the one that was considerably larger than the skinny girl that was working Totally unpleasant and what a miserable person time going in, lovely settingWe like to support local businesses and mostly try out different breakfast places around Southampton

Sad to say this pub struggling at the moment. Went for early dinner as a 4some. They ran out of 3 real ales in the space of 2 hours. The meals were fine .The coffee was cold. A friend has visited a few weeks ago and waited ages for food and drinks as too few staff to deal with customers. Today the gents toilet was running with water and "stuff" and was Not good. Previously this pub had high standards but not today or for some weeks apparantly. Disappointed.

Had a lovely meal with my partner at the King Rufus. Staff were really polite and professional - Jess served us, and was very friendly and made our experience fab. Will definitely be back!

I'm only writing this review because I've been disappointed for the last time. I live close. They used to be good but their standards have dropped & I no longer want to buy from here. Their chips are soggy greasy & on this occasion burnt.

Not a very clean or hospitable place to visit

Often pop in to the Southampton arms for a lovely Guinness and top quality food, service from all staff is always great. Would highly recommend.

I haven't received my delivery

Sammy was so nice, excellent customer service skills, always laughing and smiling and bringing the atmosphere. Food was amazing and so was the dessert.

Had Sunday Lunch, food was delicious. Huge portion of chicken, gammon, roast potatoes, veg. Friends had fish and chips and burger. Highly recommend. Staff were friendly and efficient. Followed by a walk in Crowdhill Copse (behind pub)

Fab Sunday lunch. All home made. Yum yum 😋 service great and food choices excellent. Food superb, music excellent and lovely roaring fire.

My second visit and again,it was the same high standard of service and quality of food.Meg was our waitress and was super friendly,polite and efficient. The Plough is a very welcoming and well run establishment.

Lovely place, they reopened for me even though I arrived a couple of minutes after closing time! Really nice fish, sausages and chips, we all liked them. The mushy peas were flavoured though, not quite to my taste, and sadly no gluten free options apart from chips, though they did kindly check all products to be sure. Great find, will return!
