Vic's Fish Bar in Eastleigh

Bit of a queue but to be expected when busy. Food was good, fish and chips , well cooked fresh and hot, no complaints here. Obviously busy because product was good and reasonably priced. 👍

Food is good but you can't trust them on time. Cold night didn't want to stand among people given the flu situation. Rang in my order told 5mins went around and paid. Told waiting on chips. After another 25mins told he was just putting my fish in. Said forget it and they can keep my money.

I'm only writing this review because I've been disappointed for the last time. I live close. They used to be good but their standards have dropped & I no longer want to buy from here. Their chips are soggy greasy & on this occasion burnt.

THe fish cost 10.00 pound and was the size of a third of the box, lots of batter, the pea fritters were burnt

Always lovely, good quality, noylt at all greasy and good portions. Would recommend to anyone. They also will fo breaded cod which I have everytime. Delicious

Fancied a treat this week, so we took a trip to Vics! The fish is so white and flaky. So incredibly tender and fresh. The chips are perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crisp to them. Always a good time at Vics!

Vic’s is really good value for money (at least half the price of a Chinese), small chips is a good portion size for two people. The battered sausages have the most amazing batter on them, recommend 1 1/2 per person. Often have to queue due to being popular but worth the short wait. Staff friendly.

great value for money, lovely food only downside is that they are so popular you will usually need to queue but it is worth it!

Came here for lunch & had never been here before, i had been recommended by a friend to try this place out. The menu was the same as most chip shops with the prices etc, but the meal portions came out very big & was piping hot too! Great value for money & very filling for you get served. The two young guys behind the counter were very helpful & very polite. Will be returning some time in the near future!

Portion sizes are very good. Fish and chips great value for price. Sadly sauages aren't great, small and not very tasty and very dry. I think the sausages I was served had been cooked and left on the hotplate for sometime, as had the pea fritter. DISAPPOINTED. Vic's Fish Bar is normally better quality than this. I hope this id just a 1 off and not an indication of things to come.

Happy Vic got another shop. I was so dissatisfied when vic left us in sandy lane but was so pleased that he opened another shop not long after and to to fate away. These are the best fish and chips ever! If you happen to have to wait awhile so what? There worth it.

The food has always been tasty however; waiting for 30 minutes for small cod and chips during the tea time opening hours seems ridiculous they have nothing waiting to go out except the odd sausage or two! I understand that you don’t want wastage but surely by now you have an understanding of what you’re going to sell during this period. During my wait I counted 11 fish orders and everyone of those customers had to wait. Five customers in front of me with another six when I left. At the end of the day you’re a fish and chip shop so perhaps it would be a good idea to actually have cod’s at the ready along with chips that we waited on as well. Perhaps this needs looking at because I almost asked to cancel my order

Cooked to order, pleasant efficient service, great teamwork behind the counter, freshly cooked, nothing sat waiting cooling, be patient, yours will be there very soon, can’t get better beats most chippies into a cocked hat...get fish and chips done... go to Vics Fish Bar!

Fish is delicious as are the chips all freshly cooked no coldish from earlier! Place is absolutley spotless and the staffs white are sparkling white!!

This chip shop serve great food and seems very clean . The only thing that lets it down is that on two different occasions I have placed order and had to wait for long time and then noticed that customers that have come in after me have been given part of my order and so I have had to wait even longer . They need to communicate with each other better and not try and do to many orders at a time . I will go there again but if problems continue, I will go elsewhere .

I visited Vic’s fish bar for the first time this evening and was not disappointed! The place itself is gorgeous and immaculate. The staff are very friendly, the portion sizes are generous and the price is great. The food itself was so tasty, cooked to perfection. Will be definitely be going back and highly recommend!

Very good quality cooked to perfection, chips good portions, fish very tasty as was the pea fritters.

Used to frequent this place when it was the old “Paul’s” they have done no injustice to the place,brilliant service and chips. Will be back for more
