The best restaurants serving British food in Eastleigh South East

Popped in for the first time and had a coffee and a slice of Banna loaf, nice friendly service and atmosphere and more importantly very tasty cake 😋

Visited for a drink and tea after coming off a yacht. Handy location for the marina. This bar is really missing a trick - the location is lovely but the actual bar/outside area is just looking a little tired and unloved. We did have fish and chips and it was nice but I really don't like it when they serve your food on paper on a plate. The paper ends up going soggy and breaking into little bits that then stick to your food. Please get rid of the paper - just use plates. Portions not huge, and wasn't cheap. Would visit again as convenient for the marina.

This pub is very lovely with home made food and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The man serving with glasses was very friendly and always smiling and very helpful with explaining items on the menu. Would recommend

Love the food, hog roast roll and a fresh cream Belgium bun,and there ended my latest diet.

We popped in there last night at 10.30 after Mission Impossible at Vue, and the pub is great! I hadn't been there for nearly 40 years and it was much nicer than I remember. A really pleasant from seating area, lots of choices for vegans on the menu and reasonably priced too. We'll come back for food one day.

Great service as usual from the king Rufus team. We love coming here. Thanks to kirsten on the bar. Always helpful and friendly.

Bit of a queue but to be expected when busy. Food was good, fish and chips , well cooked fresh and hot, no complaints here. Obviously busy because product was good and reasonably priced. 👍

Not a very clean or hospitable place to visit

Often pop in to the Southampton arms for a lovely Guinness and top quality food, service from all staff is always great. Would highly recommend.

Very busy pub, but we were still served quickly, ordered our drinks and food which when received was top quality and a good portion size. Would recommend this pub and would certainly visit again.

We stopped for lunch after bowling, and although the staff member serving us all was pleasant enough and fairly attentive, we found the salad bar was virtually empty. It wasn't as if they were rushed off their feet as there were plenty of empty tables. The corn bread bites that came with one of the meals were inedible and almost burnt to a crisp. On a more positive note, the steaks we ordered were cooked very nicely.

Pretty selfishly blocked off the access for walkers to the woods, so if you're ur looking for a nice walk in Stoke woods and a pub lunch maybe look somewhere else. Are there once. For a reason.

Great place to be, especially on sundays with sunday roast

Lovely meal meeting friends at the Plough today. Meg gave us fantastic service on a very busy Sunday afternoon. She was polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble even though she was clearly under pressure. A credit to your establishment! Thank you we will be back!

Lovely place, they reopened for me even though I arrived a couple of minutes after closing time! Really nice fish, sausages and chips, we all liked them. The mushy peas were flavoured though, not quite to my taste, and sadly no gluten free options apart from chips, though they did kindly check all products to be sure. Great find, will return!
