브라이턴에서 찾은 최고의 카페! 커피 도 너무 향긋하고, 직원들도 매우 친절함. 브라이턴 사람들이라면 스타벅스 보다는 이 곳이다

Really delicious and authentic take on 'fish' and chips. The texture of both the haddock and the cod bites was spot on, and the flavours accurate too. Golden crunchy chips and tartare sauce rounded out a really decent meal by the seaside. Friendly service in a clean, well presented and uncluttered restaurant. I will be back

Generally we would give this place 5 star,….food is great, waitresses are really good also! What started off a nice afternoon, ended with the girl who seats people staring at our table looking completely stressed, so when we were handed the bill before we could order anything else, we knew we were getting asked to leave. I said to my wife, I think they’re hurrying us to leave for the table (we had been there an hour and a half)….then the stressed seating girl came over and asked for the table back, just as I had presumed. I would have no problem with this generally, but there is no indication on the website, and there was no communication from the staff when entering that they would need the table back after an hour and a half! Myself and my wife have both run prestigious restaurants and hotels, so feel we are the best people to point out that small communication like ‘we will need the table back after 2 hours’ should be a priority on entering the restaurant. When I confronted the front of house, the girl did apologise and say she was stressed, but upon leaving I did hear her say to the manager that she didn’t rush us,…..completely false, as we could see the whole scenario playing out before our eyes! Just a thought to the restaurant for future,….communication is key

I’ve been craving some fried bread for a while. After visiting this place I will not be touching anymore fried bread, or full English in general, with a barge pole for a while. Belchers satisfied the craving so much that I had to do a couple laps up and down Brighton pier to bring myself back to life. Has a man ever jumped to his death into the freezing ocean from a fry up overload… probably not but it was close to being a world first. The atmosphere cultivated is exactly what you want from any proper cafe. A warming welcome from a sweet lady which feels like she’s essentially welcomed you into her living room contrasted by some of the most bleak looking geezers you’ve ever laid eyes on solemnly chowing down on an extra portion of beige. The stain glass full English in the window was beautiful and lures you in for a colourful culinary experience. The reality is your in for every shade of brown in the working man’s rainbow. And your reward you’ll find at the end is big pot of regret. Don’t get me wrong this is a positive review. It’s the real full English experience. It’s like I was in Layer Cake and was about to watch Morty take a kettle to the face. One bloke came into the cafe and the dialogue was as such (names replaced): Geezer 1: alright carol how’s it going? Carol: alright Steve, just the usual today? Geezer 1: just a cuppa tea carol Carol: so no food today? Geezer 1: nah a full English as well of course (insert look of surprise and disgust at carols suggestion) Notes on ordering etiquette: swapping of items is tolerated BUT not the tomatoes which in hindsight is fare. I respect da rulez from Carol. Carol knows about breafastnomics and she doesn’t hold back on teaching you. Ordering tip: an additional half size portion of bubble n squeak between two people is definitely enough food. You don’t want to find yourself staring into the abyss off the end of the pier. Only criticisms would be: - sausage was laid end-to-end (see picture)… savage behaviour - the egg touching the beans could be considered negligence - I can confirm the bacon was not cooked on a radiator Ongoing debate: is it acceptable to serve fried bread alongside untoasted buttered bread? Someone has since told me you should make a friend bread sandwich (normal bread outside, fried bread in the middle)… i will be returning to conquer such a feat

As a courier, I find the owner, or whoever that guy is in the Victorian-style smart attire—a bit arrogant and unapproachable. He has a way of making others feel inferior. I don’t mind waiting outside the restaurant for the order, but the way he speaks to people comes off as demeaning. He needs to remember that having a successful restaurant in a privileged society doesn’t make him superior or some kind of gift to the world.

An amazing Sunday Roast set menu. Beautifully cooked roast beef, plenty of accompaniments, great wine, and a fluffy sticky toffee pudding. Situated in the Grand Hotel, was very impressed by everything, service was lovely as well.
