I really enjoyed my vegan meal in this cafe. Normally I tend to be hungry at the end of a meal, but not this time, so thank you really for your cooking and your price

Nice place, food, tried egg Benedict and juice. Will come back to try other food as it looks delicious on photos. Also one negative thing I found pink/red hair in my food 😩 but did not mention to stuff...

Very nice place to have a breakfast in Brighton. The food was very unexpected, but made with lot of love. Best breakfast we had in the city, outside of the traditional english breakfast!

The food and service were excellent. Billie's hashes were great with good coffee. However, if you judge a restaurant by its toilet, it is the pits and concerningly close to the kitchen.

I had the pleasure of enjoying the All Day Meat Breakfast at Billies Cafe, and it was exceptional! The smoked bacon was some of the best I’ve ever tasted – and as a Yorkshireman, that’s saying something. The local sausages were equally delicious, packed with flavor. I was absolutely stuffed, but the food was so good, I couldn’t resist finishing every last bite. The staff were incredibly welcoming, adding to the relaxed and chilled vibe of the café. The atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal. I will definitely be coming back – highly recommend!

Billie's and their hashes are a staple for Brighton locals. Their food is always finger-liking good and the portions are massive. Definitely worth your money. Love going here for brunch on weekends when I know I can't be bothered with making anything. Best part is I am full for most of the day so I don't need to cook anything hahah

Went in to have breakfast and sat down with all the tables full of leftover plates. Nobody came to greet us or clear the table or ask for our order, so we left. Wouldn’t go back.

A gem for delicious breakfast and brunch in Brighton! I've been meaning to pop by Billie's for a while, as the café always comes up on top-rated lists for must-eat spots. Immediately greeted with super friendly staff and just that cosy/relaxed vibe. The menu is packed to the brim with delicious options - from their signature hash to to muffins and your classic fry up. Vegan and veggie options are available, too! I opted for the popular farmhouse hash - sausage, bacon, beans, pan fried with hash potatoes, topped with an egg and grilled cheese. Sounds good? IT IS. Upon first bite I said "wow" out loud. The sausage in particular is next level. The potatoes moorish and full of flavour. It just works so well. It is a little bit on the pricier side with most dishes over £10, but it is worth a bite (literally) Will definitely try other options in the future! Staff were friendly, welcoming and delivered top-notch service - Thank you team Billies!

When you can hear the ding of a microwave you know you’re about to eat utter flavourless rubbish ! £30 wasted . Known for their hash potatoes? Ours were under cooked and tasteless . 2 staff members sitting there doing nothing just chatting away in the empty cafe . We should of known not to go in when other eateries in the area were busy and Billie’s was dead!! Yuk

Everything you’d want in a little cafe - fantastic atmosphere, strong coffee and amazing food. The cafe is small but has a good mix of larger and smaller tables (6 seemed like the max). The service is friendly but a little slow sometimes. The food here was amazing. The hash with melted cheese and the toppings was out of this world. Exactly what you’d need to start a day. Very big portions that are very filling. Highly recommend

Have been meaning to visit for a long time, and finally made it. My husband had the full breakfast (which defeated him) and I had the Farmhouse. Both very delicious, and washed down with cups of tea. Very good value and friendly service.

A really lovely place that’s been here a long while, and for good reason. The food is great. They do a lovely hash, that’s kinda their ‘thing’. There’s plenty of it, it’s well cooked and decent quality. The people serving are lovely, the place is lovely and clean. It’s highly recommended by me.

The food here is AMAZING, I personally love the swiss egg dish. Portions are huge so definetely can be shared if you are not super hungry. The space is quite small so there isn't much space but other than that I recommend it so much as have been a few times

We used to dine in this place for years but gotta say today’s experience was the best we’ve ever had, food was amazing, farmhouse hash was unreal so had to ask for one more for takeaway and went downstairs to the kitchen to thank the chef for the lovely meal we had, the best breakfast and brunch in brighton , thank you so much billies and we’ll definitely be back again and again

… the only time I’ve ever seen my partner who’s extra polite turn away food when served This was the worst plate I’ve ever seen… For over £11 a ‘farmhouse’ hash which my partner was serious excited to try came and looked like someone’s chewed up leftovers .. no exaggeration I can’t believe the cook was happy for this to be served .. before we even said anything the look on the face of the waitress was pure embarrassment Left and spent slightly less and had a gorgeous plate filled with fresh delicious food from foodillic around the corner Refund and out of there I was so dumbfounded at this plate of ‘food’ that I didn’t even get a photo I was in pure shock 😂😩 Was pale and as if it had been spread out over the large plate so make it look less pathetic but was a wasted attempt Never been before .. Never going back

Amazing breakfast. We had the Irish breakfast hash which they were happy to make adjustments to without hesitation. Great, friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Will be back!

I've had both dine in and delivery from Billie's Brighton and the food is next to none. The eggs are always cooked to perfection, the bacon, sausage and hash browns are the best in Brighton and I'd happily have the avocado toast for every meal for the rest of my life. Currently working my way through the entire menu, but I'd highly recommend the Eggs Royal or the Jumbo Meat. There's plenty of tasty vegetarian/vegan options also, and the staff have always been more than happy to customise dishes to my liking. Billie's is my go-to for breakfast/lunch, and if they were open in the evening it would be for dinner too. Great service, very friendly staff and a lovely spot in a good location.

This place has gone down hill! When I used to come here, nearly weekly in Summer, the food was amazing. When I last came, the food was atrocious! I ordered a large breakfast and the bacon was practically oinking. My partner ordered poached eggs with his breakfast and when he cut into it, the eggwhite was liquid. We are not ones to complain but it was abysmal. I'm not sure what has happened to the old chef, but this one needs a lesson in how to cook basic breakfast foods. I saw that their sign asking for staff has gone, so maybe the new chef needs more training (or better yet, a new profession). However, I cannot faulter the servers. They have always been extremely helpful and happy - the coffee's we got are some of the best in Brighton!

Quality of produce good but unfortunately not well executed on this occasion. One sausage was undercooked and had to be sent back, eggs were undercooked too and bacon was just streaky which is OK but not my preference.

Easy 5 stars. Delicious brunchy comfort food. Generous portions. Fairly reasonable prices. Great, friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. I shall be back.

Food was vile, burnt sausages, very old tomatoes, cold potatoes( not cooked well either some over done some undercooked) anything that was hot was already going cold hard poached eggs even chipped coffee cups(coffee was passable) The man and woman who served us were very nice and totally respectful when i sent everything back im glad i didn’t eat much and sent it back try joes cafe near seven dials much better that this rubbish

Food was great and very tasty. We loved it and very much filling. We had their special and that definitely is their specialty. Even toasted bread was much nicer than average. Service could have been better and they could look after customers a bit more but nothing crazy.

Cute place but the food was so disappointing! Ordered the eggs royale, they arrived quite late and cold! The eggs were the worst I had, slimey and cold 🤢, overcooked (no runny egg). Muffin was sad-looking as well. I really wanted to like this place but the food was the worst I had in a restaurant recently; only ate it just because I was starving since the wait was long 🙃

Had the salad. All my table companions were happy with the quality of the food and the service. If you want a great start of your day come around. Dont forget to knock 😁

Very pleased to visit Billie’s after a gap of - I kid you not - over 35 years. I have fond memories of coming to a cafe on this spot when it was called Billabong in the early 1980s. And it’s still great! I had a very delicious plate of hash brown potatoes with salsa etc (the rancheros dish) which was very tasty and nice and hot. It was a lovely sunny morning and the cafe was bright and airy and a lovely place to sit. So pleased there is still a nice cafe here with delicious food and very pleasant and attentive staff. Definitely recommended. And lived up to all my happy memories although obviously it must be different people running it or maybe even it’s not even the same place and I’m old and confused lol

I ordered my breakfast (big smoke) but they forgot to mention the waiting time was 1 hour… after 45 mins waiting I asked for my food and the lady said ohh you are in a hurry, do you want me to check? Off course after 45 mins waiting I am now in a hurry. I had already finished my coffee and when she came back she said 5 more mins, so after 55 mins my food came… nothing out of the ordinary a toast with smoked salmon and avocado.

The restaurant had a bit of a weird smell.

Food delivery was disgusting, with the person who packed it misunderstanding a key item of the menu, a peanut butter milkshake, with a tub of peanut butter! Food was so oily both people who ordered it gave up, too much cheese too. Congealing into a mass with the so called 'hash' that they slopped out. Absolutely do not recommend this place at all. If I could un eat the half of food I just ate I would. I still might.

What a poor show once again. Ordered avocado bacon melt When it arrived no bacon!!!!! Cut through the mountain of tasteless cheese only to find Black avocado. What an absolute shambles of a cafe. Never again will I enter. Shameful

Have been here a few times. The food is ok, nothing special but quite nice. The last two times I’ve been though the staff have been quite rude, and so although local am not sure I will go again.

Enter the restaurant and after being ignore for a minute while the staff are busy. One passes me so I ask if they are long off a table for 2. She says they are “full house” at the moment. Opens the door, shooed me out and closed it in my face. It was completely bizarre and so rude. We still cant quite believe it.

Went on Tuesday for breakfast after not going there for over 10 years as moved away. The farmhouse was “ok” but not the same. It was smaller and not as good quality products and did take quite a while to arrive. I enjoyed it but have had better but understandable in this current climate. Staff very friendly but the prices are not cheap.

This place is obviously serves good food for they are busy is just such Shame for their staff are just plain rude

Great place, amazingly friendly staff, even made a delicious chai that wasn't on the menu. Highly recommend if you're after a delightfully casual breakfast.

Returned for the first time in 4 years and maybe there’s been a change in ownership but the quality of the food has definitely decreased, which is a great shame. We visited a second time to see if perhaps it was a one off but unfortunately not - the hashes and full English were both disappointing.

Went for lunch, had the farmhouse hash, delicious. Vegan option available as well, which my daughter had and love. Make sure you bring you appetites as large portions. Coffee was great as well.

Whilst visiting family in Brighton, took them to Billie's cafe just by Hive train station as you walk from the station down toward the sea. Had a recommendation so gave it a go and so glad we did, five of us all had something different and we all loved it. I had a full breakfast and it was fantastic, my wife had something healthy and others all had something to their taste, so good it's now our nominated eating place. And another thing, the staff are lovely, and they love dogs.

Best fry ups in Brighton. Nothing fancy just a massive plate of food. What more could you want? Often a queue for a table but it's fast moving and the service is great.

A total HASHup! You have multiple choices of HASH and I picked the top of the list with bacon sausage and all the rest of a classic big breakfast! The servers was friendly, the coffee was strong and delicious BUT my HASH was a new potato in the skin sausage STEW with an egg and melted cheese on top… nothing crisp dull and grey to the eye.. a total disappointment. Please go google HASH BROWN DISHES!!!

Omg i reviewed best breakfasts in brighton and wasnt disappointed.. very friendly and kind the manager spencer shes very bubbly and polite the food was outta this world i had the irish breakfast my wife created her own and we both left absolutely stuffed its set us up for a days walking around brighton,,,NO 1 for us we will be back again if not tomorrow defo in August..as ma and pa larkin says PERRFICK...

Popped into Billies Cafe for the first time today, was greeted immediately by the lovely Astelia who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Her recommendation was spot on, the food was lovely and filling. The overall vibe was lovely and I will definitely return again.

Good food but portion size has definitely shrunk. The hash used to be a massive plate of food which would last you all day. Not any more so price seems a bit much. Nice staff though.

Me and my friends came for brunch at Billie’s today and I couldn’t recommend enough. The food is absolutely delicious and has plenty of great, filling vegan options! The staff are very friendly and attentive, absolutely great service, and the portions are very generous. Overall an amazing experience and great cute vibe in the cafe!

I HAD THE Best breakfast at billies staff was so lovely lucy and Maisie looked after us and were so lovely. Asked for scrambled eggs on my breakfast and they were cooked to perfection couldnt ask for a better brunch!

came in with some friends and was blown away by the friendliest of staff, lucy and maisie, who took our order, handled with care and served with love. food was beautiful, i have previously been fussy about how eggs are cooked but holy hot damn they were the business, not an over/under cooked egg in sight. everything arrived so promptly and enjoyed my whole experience thoroughly, compliments to all chefs involved for this masterpiece of a breakfast, you’ll be seeing us all again very soon and most likely on a regular basis, thank you so much. would recommend to all 💗

My daughter found this quirky little cafe on Google ,tucked away on a side street. Really delicious breakfast very generous portions, lovely cup of coffee. Staff really friendly totally recommend.

I usually love my visits to Billie's. Today not so much. The waitress horribly rude. Shouted at me loudly in front of everyone when I politely questioned the the portion size of the hash brown. I don't usually write reviews but this was unacceptable along...

Nice staff but don't expect much more than basic café food.

Ordered what I thought was a breakfast and was presented with a pile of bubble and squeak with a kilo of cheese melted on top. Possibly one of the grotesque things I've seen as a breakfast. And cost a fortune to boot. If you like cheap melted cheese this is the place for you. Also the waitress found it appropriate to clean the table directly to my right sticking her behind in my face. Such a pleasant experience 👍
