A joy to find this wee gem with its smiling staff, super coffee and yummy food. And for extras there is original art on the walls, so tempting to buy. Hooray for independent owners. In the heart of The Lanes, a great spot.

Great coffee stop, really chilled and good selection of treats and bites. Really approachable servers and baristas too! Worth dropping into as ambience is great too, bit of a gem hidden away - definitely worth a stop whilst on your walks through The Lanes 😊

We found this lovely cafe, by typing “good coffee in Brighton”. The couple who run the cafe are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The coffee is very good, single origin, African and Brazilian. Both are great, but my preference was the Brazilian. I highly recommend, wandering through The Lanes of Brighton and visiting Point One Cafe to enjoy a fab coffee and some vegan cake!

I went in here on a wriggle deal, but will certainly be going back again on the basis of both the friendly vibes and the great coffee. The shop is hidden away round the back of North Street in the Lanes, but you should make the effort to seek it out. It’s better than the big tax dodging corporate coffee shops by a country mile. They usually have a choice of two single origin coffees and I had a superb Brazilian Americano. The vibes inside are relaxed and super friendly and the management are more than happy to stop and have a chat. There’s range of pastries and snacks too, though I didn’t try them this time. Ultimately, Brighton’s character is all about the little independent shops, so when a good one like this comes along, it’s nice to give it your support, and in this case it’s very much on merit. Good stuff.

So a colleague and I stumbled across this smart little cafe when we were trying to find a good cafe for a coffee and a bite to eat at lunchtime. The first cafe (Just around the corner) we left due to the poor service. Consequently we were so relieved to receive 5 star customer service at Point One. The servers are so friendly. The venue is decorated well. Leather chairs, wooden tables, art work on the wall. Minimalist but done well. Home made cakes and savoury pastry treats are proudly displayed in the cabinet. Beautiful coffee (sold by the cup and bag) is on offer. Also teas, smoothies and hot chocolate. We had a cake and coffee each. The quality was fantastic. So much so we returned a few days later with some extra colleagues who were equally impressed. Between us all we enjoyed a veggie sausage roll, salad and beautiful soft sandwiches. If you are in the area and want to be in a clean environment with character, run by happy and welcoming staff members come here. I would love to return on a regular basis, it's just a shame I live 2 hours away!. Thank you for looking after us so well.

We enjoyed a couple of delicious coffees here today which were made with real care and attention. We were offered Rwandan or Brazilian coffee beans for our coffee which were then freshly ground. There were complimentary water taps on the tables. The staff were friendly and attentive. They happily gave a bowl of water and some treats for the dog (and some cuddles). Cakes were fantastic also. Reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

A really excellent coffee shop! I went in just to see what sort of beans they sold and ended up geeking out about why it was so difficult to get decent Guatamalan beans. They really know their coffee and are so friendly: I was given a couple of samples to try and the beans are some if the best I've found. I stumbled on this place accidentally but I will be seeking it out next time I'm in Brighton.

I’ve been here so many times , the staff actually know about their coffee and about their customers !! This is so much more than a coffee shop , I love it !!

Warm atmosphere, friendly people and super tasty coffee! The person serving answered my many nerdy coffee questions and let me smell a variety of beans. May be my new favourite spot in town 🙌

Fantastic tasting coffee, these guys really know their stuff. Minimalistic decor, great music, open bar so you can see how they make the drinks. They talk about their coffee with a passion. Amazing experience!

Why would you go anywhere else in brighton when you have this lovely independently owned and run coffee shop situated in the heart of the lanes? You rarely go anywhere these days where the staff smile and take time to talk to you. A choice of single origin coffees, cheese toasties (vegan ones too, that were delicious) owned by a young couple in their 20.s. Support entrepreneurial individuals like these guys and help businesses thrive!

As soon as i walked through the door of this cute/modern coffee shop i was greeted by a lovely young lady who seemed genuinely happy to be serving me. I was given a choice in which origin coffee i was drinking and was informed by the clearly knowledgeable staff which showed me they are passionate, and i was not let down as it tasted great! would 100% recommended Point One to anyone who is in the area!

I always pop into point one. It is easily the best coffee I have tasted. Great set out, great chilled music and a great owner. I will definitely continue coming here.

Stumbled across this place but has become my regular now as I prefer to support local. The woman is lovely, really friendly, and recommended the vegan brownie which is 10/10. Big fan of the water taps built into the tables too

Stumbled across this place while wandering through Brighton looking for a coffee. Chap working was very friendly and gave us the choice of two coffees for our Flat Whites. We had our coffees to take away but you can drink in too. Plenty of coffee shops in Brighton but I’d highly recommend finding this one over your standard chains.

Even though I'm not a huge coffee fan, the hot chocolate here was really really good and the staff were very welcoming and lovely. Very nice atmosphere too - will be visiting again.

We purposely avoid the coffee chains where possible when in Brighton. So we were more than delighted when we came across Point One Coffee. The enterprise is a simple one...brilliant coffees served with style and elegance. The staff on duty when we were there were committed informed and delightful. Without question we will be back very soon. Thanks for coffee which has an aroma and flavour.

Really good coffee - you get a choice of Brazilian or Colombian, roasted locally. Very friendly service. Highly recommend.

Lived in Brighton a while so tried most the cafes, and this has to be the best coffee I’ve had and tops them all, vegan or not. Welcoming and chill atmosphere with great options and info from the barista on the beans too.
