Honest Burgers - Brighton in Brighton and Hove

The chicken patty was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with a nice crispy exterior. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. Each bite was a delightful combination of savory and satisfying. Overall, it’s one of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to go back for more!

Amazing food but event better incredible service. Due to certain allergies in the group the server (really sorry forgot your name) was brilliant and fully explained the ingredients and helped as much as possible. I would fully recommend this place its brilliant

The review based on the service during arrival as I did not manage to dine in. I walk in the afternoon, and did not see if anyone lining up. I saw 3 tables are empty. On staff approached and and said he need to check if no one waited outside. Bit puzzled as I saw few empty tables so I waited inside and I saw him cleaning the tables and gave the tables to other person. It is totally fine, but during that time he totally ignored me and not said anything, e.g asked to wait while he prepared another table. Didn’t feel welcomed so I went out.

Fantastic burgers. Great vegan options, the beef burger was perfectly cooked, and fab resemary fries. Nice local beer selection. Service was fantastic and all the staff were genuinely friendly, even though at the time they were very busy and perhaps slightly understaffed.

I won’t come back. Quality and atmosphere is below a fast food. The floor, tables and toilets are dirty. I got the idea they washed the floor in 2023. Burger was just ok, fries greasy and oily. I had to chase service for a simple napkin which apparently is now distributed on request. 2 beers and 2 standard burgers for £45. No way.

I had the limited edition truffle burger, which was excellent. Service was also very friendly and efficient.

I happened to be here on vacation and this restaurant captured my heart. Super nice service even asks if you are allergic to something and puts a straw in your cola, super great and highly recommended

This place was great, staff were really attentive, busy lunch time but they still took the time to greet everyone. Food was amazing, burger grilled to perfection and rosemary fries a winner.

Tried their limited time special, a truffle burger and it was absolutely amazing. Huge portions so I have some leftover chips. Absolutely delicious and great staff.

We always come here. And we always rated Honest 5 stars. But the last couple of times coming here, we were disappointed. We thought we’d give it another shot. The chips is scraps, and the portions have definitely decreased. The burgers are tiny. And the portions are just small. And this time around the beef patties was tasteless. I love my food. But I’m not sure I’ll return to Honest again. Oh and the waiter who served us, when we mentioned about the portions or that it’s tasteless, he said, it’s been the same as before. And it’s the first time we’ve seen him here… the service was just rubbish. The waiters use to come and ask us if everything was ok, but nothing… not happy at all…

Food gave me an upset stomach for the rest of the day, would not return.

Service was great, beer spot on the burgers were just tiny. I came out of there hungry still. Don't go in there if want a decent sized meal.

My sister, who is a notoriously fussy eater, declared,' it's the best burger she's ever eaten' The burgers were cooked to perfection, medium rare, and soooooo juicy. The fries, well seasoned and herby, quite delicious . The onion rings were quite possibly the largest and crunchiest I've ever had. The batter was slightly spicy, absolutely amazing! VERY good value for money, we will definitely be coming back.

Food is absolutely amazing, one of the best burger places in Brighton and they offer a different special every month. Don’t listen to the horrible reviews left by online customers and Uber drivers, all the staff are lovely and the service is great. Will be back again!!

.. i’ve been assured the food is good here. Sadly, the staff can’t actually provide enough service to pick up a pen, let alone provide the food. These guys are unhelpful and irresponsible with your time and money. Shout out to Tom.. wet cigarette papers have got more use than you.

I have ordered double burger but I got delivered one, it was cut in half to create impression that they are two burgers.

First we came in and had to wait some minutes. After we set down, the service was very very bad, they were so slow and didnt looked at us when we wanted to order. We waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers and they werent even as good as expected.

Was going to try what they're cooking there, but then I realised, they're bunch of pathetic morrons, with mental disorders. That for some unknown reasons were intentionally testing my temper with their stupid games. So never again gonna get close to these prick bar ever.

Another great trip to the awesome almost gluten free coeliac friendly restaurant. Small but well formed restaurant, team were friendly and looked after us well.

4 of us went for a meal and the burgers were good but the overall experience was pretty poor. Staff were doing what they could but atmosphere, decor, lighting etc all really disappointing. Felt like Honest has tried to expand but has limited quality control. Manager was attentive but the place needs some TLC and it was just a hub for UBER/Deliveroo... There were more drivers with helmets on in the restaurant than the there were customers eating and this made it a pretty horrible experience. I've been going to Honest since they first opened in Brixton but won't be going back to this one. A real shame.

I *do* like a good burger... and the ones at Honest Burgers are excellent. An amazing flavoursome burger with wonderfully crispy bacon and lovely melted cheese. Rosemary salted chips (they'll give you the salt separately if you ask). Some nice beers including low alcohol ones. The staff are friendly and attentive and there was some great music playing too when I was there... Whether you can guarantee 70s disco each time you visit is anyone's guess but I will definitely return to find out 😊

Ο χώρος πάρα πολύ συμπαθητικός και φιλόξενος. Υπάρχουν επίσης εξωτερικά τραπέζια στον πεζόδρομο αλλά και δεύτερος όροφος. Τα δύο άτομα που μας εξυπηρέτησαν ήταν πολύ φιλικά και ευγενικά, όμως ταυτόχρονα και εξαιρετικοί επαγγελματίες. Μεγάλο αβαντάζ τους η τόσο γλυκιά και άμεση εξυπηρέτηση. Ο,τι δοκιμάσαμε ήταν πολύ νόστιμο, πλούσια σε υλικά καλής ποιότητας. Το μπιφτέκι ήρθε ψημένο όπως το ζητήσαμε. Όλα ήρθαν σε σωστούς χρόνους πάρα του ότι είχαν πολύ κόσμο. Δεν κατάλαβα μόνο γιατί δεν μας έφεραν καθόλου πιρούνια, παρά μόνο μαχαίρια. Όμως κι αυτό είχε την πλάκα του.

Awesome burgers, great sides and lovely staff!

To be honest, the honest burger tasted like a deep fried mars bar. I had to call my dentist 3 bites in. The caramelised onions completely dominate what would have been a just about fine patty. I didnt hate the bacon. Fries were so oily they slipped out my hands. The onion rings (huge to be fair) were saturated in oil. When they proved inedible, we lit them and used them as oil lanterns. Smash burger: smashed it - would recommend. All food was cold. Two stars.

Came here after having amazing food at the South Kensington branch a few months ago. I can't eat gluten and the entire menu caters for this without me having to feel like a nuisance. Unfortunately my burger was burnt black on one side for 50% of the way through it, the onion rings burnt completely to dark brown (and no fennel seeds like the SK ones ☹️), chips luke warm and chewy like they'd been reheated. Drinks weren't presented that well and all looked identical. Toilets didn't look that clean and staff just weren't very interested so it didn't feel worth complaining. Such a shame, I'd really bigged it up and felt embarrassed to have suggested it. I will definately not be returning to this branch.

Generally a good burger in this joint. We shared the beef and bacon gravy which is a must have! Unfortunately the place is pretty small, so you can find yourself quite closely seated with others. Reasonable prices.

Got their at 11:57 am to be told we had to wait outside in rain although they advertised open at 11:30 am, 5y 4 y and two x two year olds were sooo happy to have to wait in rain for a burger, cannot wait to book again hahahahaha NEVER

I love Honest Burger and regularly visit our local in London. Every one I’ve tried so far has been great but I was disappointed with the Brighton restaurant for a few reasons. The food itself was good…the chips were overly salty but the plant burger was amazing as always. The restaurant though was grubby, everything felt greasy including the misty glasses, ketchup bottle covered in sticky old ketchup and the toilets which were greasy on the floor and soaking wet - it’s not a great combination when you’re pregnant. The worst part was the smell that hit us as we walked in, it was damp, musty and very off-putting.

Honest burger always hits the spot! Small place, looked busy, but sat us down immediately! We had the Brighton special burger it was very spicy but tasty and also had the honest burger, both medium rare and loved them. The rosemary fries are crispy and tasty, seasoned very well, salad was crisp and the dressing was fantastic. Onion rings are as good as it gets too, by the time we ate the above we didn't have space for the onion rings. I would recommend and visit again!

Absolutely rubbish. Way better burger places in Brighton, bigger portions, cheaper, tastier and nicer place! It stank like a toilet. Took ages for food to come when it did it was cold and they tried to charge me for the privilege. Avoid!

Delivery was made with a wrong burger and the vegan and meat being in the wrong boxes.

What a gem of a find - great service and lovely freshly made burgers. The wings were perfect nice amount of spice - I had the fritter burger veggie option, yummy as well. A good choice of drinks to.

Amazing food. The buffalo chicken wings were particularly good, as was the side salad; just enough dressing to coat everything perfectly. The chilli burger has a subtle warmth to it that never threatened to overwhelm the taste of the burger itself. Staff were really friendly and did I mention that the food was amazing?! Will most definitely be going back. Hopefully milkshakes will be back on the menu by then as they would go perfectly with the meal.

Staff are so lovely and the food is delicious!!! We had the smash burger (a steal with fries for less then 10 quid) and an honest burger - both so yummy and fresh - wash it down with a pint and you’ll be as happy as we are xoxo

Unacceptable service First of all it’s 3 degrees outside turn your heating on Second of all if you see two people for an hour not eating maybe there is something wrong and the staff need to check them Our order never reached the kitchen. Everyone around us who came after us had their food When we asked for an update the staff they didn’t even check the first time we had to go and ask the manager what is wrong And when we decided to leave we asked OUT OF POLITENESS if we should pay at least for the soft drinks and they said YES you all need to find another job or educate yourself on how to be better at your job

Love their food, visited with family having lots of allergies and food intolerance issues. The manager was very patient and polite, he understood the issues and suggested accordingly. Honestly it’s Honest honest food and service . Highly recommended.

We had 2 smash burgers and chips here. They tasted really good, and the products were of high quality. Personally, I believe that replacing the onions with caramelized onions would elevate the burger to another level. The staff and owners were courteous, the kitchen was clean, and the ambiance was beautiful. The perfect place for a nice burger on a cold Brighton day!

Had a Buyagift voucher and decided to visit today. Never knew anything about this company but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the Vegetarian burger we had was soooooo yummy. We would definitely go again. Well done guys🙂

Honestly this burger place will give over priced brighton restaurants a run for there money. Now my favourite restaurant in brighton fresh and amazing flavours!!!!

We came here as we had been told it was a safe option for our coeliac daughter. And that couldn’t have been more true. For the first time ever she was told that she could have absolutely anything on the menu, they just had to swap the bun for a gluten free one. This was so refreshing and they were very clued up about coeliac disease and cross contamination. Her food was presented in different grease proof paper and the bun was clearly different so there was no concerns about whether she had the right meal. Eating out can be so stressful but this experience was the opposite, we were able to really enjoy our meal. The quality of the burger was immense and the rosemary chips…. OMG!!!!

I had high expectations for the smashed burger having seen rave reviews but it didn't meet them really. It was a very enjoyable burger though. They weren't proper smashed ones with crusty edges, just thinner patties basically. However they were juicy and cooked well otherwise. The gravy makes the meal here though! One of the tastiest gravy's you'll find. Overall the service was very good except for a slightly rushed ordering interaction. Probably better quality and better value burger places around.

First time we have tried Honest burgers must say they are not so honest, paid in cash for the meals was given what I thought was the wrong change, when questioned the amount was told I’d paid a service charge, a service charge for a burger really. Need to be upfront, Fair to say We won’t be going back.

We had been craving a hamburger for a while, but had found the near £20 other places were charging a bit on the steep side. The restaurant was busy when we entered, but we were shown to a window seat, and then we were able to move to a table shortly after. My partner had the Beef burger, which was a standard burger with cheese. I had a special which had more more heat to it. Both came with rosemary fries. We both really enjoyed enjoyed our burgers, they were a good size, tasty, and definitely hit the spot. We would recommend and would visit again.

I discovered Honest Burgers 3 years ago and it is still my favourite place for burgers. They always have a special menu, the burgers and fries are delicious, I highly recommend! Never been disappointed.
