The No Catch Co. in Brighton and Hove

Travelled to Brighton just for this and it did not disappoint!

Had the vegan cod and chips - loved the cod (which I had with GF batter) and the crispy thick chips. No compromise in flavour or appearance! Great to still have delicious fish and chip by the sea. 😍

Great place for a quick food. Grab a seat and enjoy the delicious vegan meal! Lovely!

Service and food great as ALWAYS but the server today (29th) went above and beyond to follow us after we left to give us our parking ticket that we left!! lovely people and lovely food🫶🫶

My daughter and I were staying around the corner and were delighted when we found No catch. We both ordered the 'cod' and chips, my daughter got the kids portion. They were only doing takeaway as it was late but that was fine with us. The restaurant itself was lovely and clean, decorated nicely and staff was friendly and helpful. We brought the food home and my daughter wasn't a fan so only ate the chips. I ate mine but within 30 minutes I was sick and then was sick for most of the night. It must have been the tofu as we both ate the chips. Even the smell from the bag made me so much that in between being sick I had to find a bin out of our room to throw it away. I hate that this happened as I love supporting fully vegan restaurants but I really was so sick for most of the night and have woken up still not well or able to eat which isn't ideal as we're only here for 2 nights!

Important to note this place doesn’t cater for coeliacs. At least they were upfront but as I am coeliac and I had to leave and eat elsewhere how many stars can I give? 🤷‍♂️

Sssoooo chuffed to be in this fabtastic place again and have this orgasmically scrummie food once more. Its the ‘only’ place we eat when visiting Brighton…. A total MUST for conscientious eaters ….most highly recommended x

Absolutely delicious! Very convincing “fish”, delicious chunky chips and none of us were left with that gross greasy feelings fish & chips can sometimes give you. We all had the vegan cod and chips but there are plenty of options. A must visit for veggie and vegan fish and chip lovers!

The smoked cod supper is just the job. Eaten on the beach in summer, or cozied up against the cold in winter.

Amazing experience, the ressemblance is really breathtaking. Really good service, I highly recommand !

Was actually amazed at this place, being newly vegetarian for around 20 days so far funnily enough the one thing I've been missing is prawns and fish which is weird because I was never even super into those foods. Decided to go with a couple of vegan friends to No Catch vegan fish and chips place yesterday evening. I have absolutely no idea what they use instead but was genuinely delicious and I could barely tell the difference.10/10 would eat again! The chips were by far some of the best chips I've had in Brighton too. All 100% Vegan

Beautiful cod and chips. I’m not a vegan but could not fault the food, it was delicious and such a fishy taste. The batter was crispy and the chips fabulously crunchy outside and soft potato on the inside. Well done

I’ve loved No Catch for years and it never disappoints! Best chips in Brighton, really tasty fake fish, and all the money goes to an animal sanctuary to boot!

Outstanding flavour, the cod is amazing tofu wrapped in seaweed then battered is the best I've tasted on the seafront including the non-vegan spots here in Brighton Pier. I look forward to come here again for sure a spot for the summer day date. Wonderful environment and welcoming staff, for sure will recommend to the world a day in the life living in Brighton.

Phenomenal. We cycled in from Worthing specifically to try it, and it was amazing. Lovely looking place (plaice?), friendly staff and great food, which just so happens to be vegan.

The vegan fish was so good, and the mushy peas paired perfectly.

The no fish is pack with sea flavour. The atmosphere is superb. Very friendly and helpful staff. A place to come back

This is a MUST visit in Brighton. I came with my dog this time and the person at the counter saw us trying to take photos while we waited, and offered to take them for us 😊 the chips are very crispy and fluffy and I was very happy sitting by the west pier with my dog and chips from no catch.

As an omnivore who eats fish semi-regularly (and has tried vegan fish and chips before in other places and found it forgettable), No Catch some of the nicest fish and chips I've had in a long time of ANY kind, despite having no fish in it! The chips were perfectly soft yet crunchy, the batter was crisp, the 'fish' flavour was delicious and it was texturally shockingly similar to fish (maybe slightly too slippy/flaky, but I would never in a million years guessed it was vegan without knowing). The texture of the vegan calamari was astoundingly realistic (less fresh seaside calamari and more rings on a buffet texture, but really really close to the real thing in consistency). The tartare sauce was spot on, mushy peas well seasoned, and they stock Irn Bru. Need I say more! I would wholeheartedly recommend No Catch to vegans and non-vegans alike.

No catch vegan restaurant is great. The food is great and the service is great too. Even if you’re not a vegan you should try it. Love it so much

Very accommodating for gluten-free (GF batter and items), just ask when ordering. Shared fryer though, so not suitable for ceoliac, but the mushy peas are excellent.

Lovely place..no pun intended :) chips were crispy with a lovely fluffy inside that stayed tastey right to the end of the plate. The battered sauages were the best vegan vege I've had in 32years of being vegan. Batter was crispy not to thin the sausage was firm altogether a lovely sausage. Tartar sauce was a minty smooth addition to the meal.. Chilled out tunes playing the back ground rih by the beach.

I had the best meal I've had from a 'chippy'. Battered saveloy and chips. The chips were 'out of this world' delicious, as was the saveloy. Even my non vegan partner loved the chips. When my order arrived, it was brought to me where I was sitting. It's a shame I don't live nearer as I think I'd be visiting quite regularly 😋

La comida es deliciosa. He estado desesperado por pescado vegano, salchichas rebozadas y papas fritas, y esto me dio en el blanco. Era como si recordara pescado con patatas fritas. Mi única queja era que el servidor estaba claramente comiendo en el mostrador. Sin embargo, el servicio en sí fue rápido y cortés. El lugar está limpio y la comida estaba en el lugar... aunque un poco caro.

I'm not veggie but these were best fish and chips we've had in very long time.

Lovely staff amazing .. food sadly dying plants due neglected as they a part of decor wondered why.. not looked after allso. Toilet door allways open . Looking at loo when you eat in not a great look

Vegan fish and chips that tastes so much like the real thing! Lovely thick-cut chips and curry sauce so good you’ll almost eat the pot it came in. Really excellent food and great service, and really well-priced.

Amazing food, it's incredible that they actually have a 100% vegan fish chips place now. Not only that but the food is actually delicious and the staff are fantastic. Really clean environment and cosy atmosphere.

Wow - hands down the best tofish I’ve ever had. Chips are also chunky crispy deliciousness! Highly recommend & will be back when I next visit Brighton.

Really delicious and authentic take on 'fish' and chips. The texture of both the haddock and the cod bites was spot on, and the flavours accurate too. Golden crunchy chips and tartare sauce rounded out a really decent meal by the seaside. Friendly service in a car, well presented and uncluttered restaurant. I will be back

As a meat eater, I came here with my vegetarian fiancé, so thought I might as well try the vegan battered sausages and chips, which comes with 3 sausages and a generous portion of chips. Let me tell you, it was honestly the best battered sausages I’ve had, it tastes just like meat sausages and the chips were amazing. I also tried my fiancés vegan smoked haddock and the taste and texture was brilliant. 10/10 would definitely recommend, the person servicing us was super friendly and helpful.

Finally managed to try No Catch, always so much choice in Brighton for vegans. I wasn't sure what to have but they recommended the smoked haddock and chips and the lemon shrimp so we had that plus the kids cod and chips to try another fish dish along with some mushy peas and wow it was so so amazing! The taste and the texture of it all was really really good and each so different, so much so we decided to try the calamari too. Guess what this was great too, and the chips too, will definitely be going back!

Really tasty vegan fish and chips shop. Good value at around the same price as normal fish and chips. Chips were delicious Chunky chips with crisp outside and fluffy middle. Staff were nice and the food was quick. Even if you are not vegan this place is nice to try, honestly the best fake fish ive tried to date. The sausages really scratched an ich ive had for that nostalgic battered sausage i had as a kid. Defiantly worth a try.

Really delicious food and friendly staff but would recommend taking away and eating on the beach. The interior could do with a perk up! Lots of dead plants, an almost empty notice board that could be full of plant based info or local environmental groups etc., sellotape holding part of one of the aircon units on. It could really easily be made to feel a much nicer place to sit and eat!

What a superb find - Vegan fish and chips, complete with skin (seaweed). Chips are truly fabulous 👌 Not even one left! Cherry on top is its dog friendly 🐶 🙌

Really good vibes food was great

Honestly, I did not expect something so good. I tried both the ‘cod’ and the ‘smoked haddock’ and they were both very good with a perfect batter. There were also a lot of very good chips. The staff were very friendly and we waited very little to be served. I would go back to Brighton if only to eat there again. The only detail I regretted was that there was no beer and I would have liked to have had some.

I come back every time I’m in Brighton! Absolutely stunning vegan fish & chips. I prefer the regular one, instead of smoked. I’m kinda sad that they are not open on Mondays since it’s my only day off during the week, but I plan my trip around this place anyway

I have walked past this restaurant many times. And today I decided to treat myself to Vegan Cod & Chips with the homemade tartare. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! A wonderful surprise 🫢 I am SO HAPPY to have found this place. I will come back, time and time again, and with friends!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

AMAAZING!! I have been craving Cod and chips for about 4 years since becoming Vegan, NO CATCH certainly fulfilled my cravings!! The taste and texture is delicious! Gorgeous curry sauce,, juiciest gherkin and delicious tartar sauce too. Lovely chunky chips, perfect with salt and vinegar especially by the beach 😎 Wish I ordered a larger vegan cod. Nice, clean restaurant too! Even my boyfriend was impressed and he is a meat eater. Would 💯 recommend and will definitely be back next time we are in Brighton! Please open up in London!! 😋 Also Dog friendly 🐾 LGBTQ+ supportive 🏳️‍🌈

The calamari is amazing! The cod and prawns have a more original taste, which is great, but they could benefit from a little more flavour. Everything is really good though. The prices are fair and the service charge is conveniently low (5%). Great place to recommend.

Place looks grotty but went based on overall reccos. Ordered chips to take away. Board said 3.99. I was asked what I needed on the side so I said mayo. Bill was 4.99…£1 for mayo. Really? Order cancelled. See ya!

Very cute place, right on Brighton beach. The exclusively vegan fish options were super tasty and the portions were sufficient. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended, gladly again. Thanks for the hospitality! :)

Lovely little chippie - on the seafront… All options vegan and almost indistinguishable from their ocean going namesakes… Stunning vegan presentation of ALL menu options - the fries are STUNNING - this place is an absolute vegan revelation Love it
