We visited for Sunday lunch and chose the roast turkey and lamb. Both dishes were served hot and the meat was nice. What we particular liked was the amount of fresh rather than the normal frozen vegetables that our meals came with i.e. cauliflower, swede, carrots, sprouts, broccoli, cabbage and roast potatoes. Overall a great Sunday roast, we will definitely return and have already recommended to friends and family.

Beautiful setting with wonderful views. Some of the waiting staff seemed unhappy in their work. Lots of management staff wandering about. One lady with coloured hair clearing tables picking up as much as she could not using a tray (Health and Safety) We waited 40 minutes for meal. Scrambled Egg over cooked. Crayfish on flatbread tastless. Would we return NO. Would rather go to Cafe further down

Had a long drive and arrived at 16:30, checked in and ordered food Sunday roast) as the kitchen was due to close at 5pm. Went to the room to drop the bags and came back for the food, it was gorgeous! The room was superb with all that you need for a night or two. The mattress was very comfortable, pillows were hard but there were alternatives underneath the bed. Breakfast was lovely (full English). Check out was at 10:30. Lovely stay and if we're back in that area we will happily return!

Tucked away in the heart of Hampshire, The George Inn is a quintessential English pub that feels like a warm embrace on a chilly evening. As you step inside, you’re greeted by the crackling of open fires, the heart and soul of this charming establishment. The atmosphere is delightfully old-school, with wooden beams and vintage furnishings. The staff here are nothing short of wonderful, striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Their attentive service adds to the homely vibe, ensuring that your glass is never empty and your spirits are always high. And the food! All locally sourced meats from local farmers and roasts are 10/10. I recommend the steak sandwich to dip in the gravy. A proper old school freehouse!

We dined at the Old Bank and were absolutely blown away by not only the incredible food but also, the inviting atmosphere. Each dish presented meticulous attention to flavour, impressive presentation and delicate textures, showcasing the chefs' innovative approach to British cuisine. We would also recommend the wine flight to accompany the tasting menu - these carefully curated selections of wines accompany each dish, enhancing every course with perfectly complementary flavours! Thank you and see you again soon! :)

We had an early Christmas lunch today. All of the options we tried from the Christmas set menu were delicious. The vegetarian starter of mushrooms on potato bread which I had was excellent and everyone else was impressed with theirs. There were generous and varied sides with the mains. We all had treacle tart to finish. Plus they did something off the children's menu for us. Highly recommended. I would love to come again.
