We thoroughly enjoyed visiting as part of a walk. A stunning pub, with an amazing garden, big fan of the range of events on offer.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, die interessiert nachfragt und plaudert. Leckere Biere, offener Kamin. Essen gibt es wohl nur am Wochenende… Ein richtiger Dorfpub. Man erwartet, dass gleich Inspektor Barnaby hereinspaziert. 😉

The Bowl is a lovely cosy pub with a great selection of beverages, some of which are local too! In the winter the fires are always roaring which is very welcome 😍 The service is exceptionally good and super friendly too! The spacious garden is great in the warmer days. The Bowl has it all and is a great place to enjoy with your loved ones.

Our first post lockdown drinks ! What a really cute place service was lovely drinks were nice and one way system worked really well I do hope little places like this survive these difficult times as they deserve it ! We just need more sunny days to make outside social distance drinking safe for us all !!

Went here to see our friends off on their trip and had a meal.Food was delicious and portions very good. Variety on the menu was fair. However I would advise booking in advance as this is an extremely popular place. Adequate parking to the front and rear of pub.

Early evening drive into the beautiful Kent Downs and a visit to the Bowl. This pub embodies everything a pub should be. Excellent beer, hospitality, looked-after and one of the best pub gardens. We need to treasure these traditional pubs and this is by far one of the best. Support the beer festival here at the end of August!

We didn't even get in this country pub. We wanted a nice place to sit out in a country pub garden. But with a no dog policy, we went elsewhere. I can't believe that a pub, in a countryside full of beautiful walks, doesn't allow dogs. So it's a big fat no from me.

This is such an excellent pub! It is close to perfection. We planned our walk over from Waltham to get here for lunch. It was a perfect October day and we were able to sit in the beautiful garden at the back. The beer is excellently kept. I had tried neither draft beers before and was offered samples of both so could make an informed choice. Gadds Seasider 4.3% was perfect as a lunchtime pint. Freshly made baguettes were generous in quantity and reasonable in price. The pub inside is just what one expects from a village pub - scrubbed wood, memorabilia, lots of character. We were there on a Saturday. It was busy but not over full.

The Bowl Inn is a lovely pub. It offers sandwiches which comes with crisps and a small salad. The sandwiches are made with locally made fresh bread and the beer and cider on offer is great. The pub is small but offers a unique experience with antiques plastered all over the place. The Landlord swears a bit but it is all part of the charm. There is an owl in the back garden which is lovely to sit out in the summer. Make sure you visit on bank holiday in August as there is an annual beer festival not to be missed.

Fab country pub this in great location. Went for the first time on Bank Holiday Monday. The garden was packed with families enjoying the glorious sunshine. The children seemed to be especially having a good time running around or grooving to the music.Good food reasonably priced and great selection of 'real ales beautifully kept. The landlord Ronnie is a character,, a kind of living John Bull (patriotic Union Jack waistcoat and all which toned with the huge flag at the back of the stage). He is blunt speaking but with a heart of gold. A true gent. We heard some authentic Blues played with feeling (if 'Blue men can play the Whites' properly) from the oddly named Kamikaze Blues Band. Must be a story there somewhere if one could be bothered. Great authentic English pub keeping alive all the best traditions of this ancient inn tradition in the spirit of Chaucer's Tabard Inn that kick's off 'old Geoff's Canterbury Tales. Do visit but be wary of the roads in deepest winter. Worth the effort though

Turned up late at 16.00 but Ron was still happy to serve us lunch, excellent, fresh and great quality. If you have yet to find this award winning pub, make the effort, Kent beers, ciders and local foods.

This is a fantastic place to eat from spectacular all day breakfast, to great specials and great cakes. Today I had the lamb pie special with chips and veg. It is the best pie I’ve eaten since my Mum’s and she was a brilliant cook. Thank you.

This was our third meal at this charming restaurant in Kent we love the atmosphere homely relaxed plus the food is great with a good choice of wines and drinks the canapés were a lovely start followed by the best tuna we have had in a long time. The duck dish with quinoa was very nice and hake was stunning we both love venison and we were not disappointed wow and a bolognese pancake reminded us of my childhood (think 70’s 80’s tv adverts) and a cheesecake that looked like a piece of Swiss cheese amazing will be back soon.
