The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Although front of house was friendly, nice and accommodating, I was absolutely horrified by the lack of hygiene, precaution and distancing of staff who is clearly struggling and sick with a bad flue. In such cases, I'd expect them to be sick on leave and not handle drinks or food. Wear a facemask and constantly sanitize hands. I was mortified to watch them unhygienically rub their runny nose with their hands, serve food and proceeded to make drinks behind the bar without washing or sanitizing their hands. Even sticking their nose in the cocktail shaker. For all we know, they could've had covid and ended up spreading it to high risk individuals. This is absolutely unacceptable. Michelin star? ... really?

Lovely food and staff, had a great breakfast there Saturday morning. Will definitely be returning, young lady that served us was a credit to the place.

It was a sad occasion, but uplifting and seeing friendly faces. It's a time to catch up and share many memories as Uncle would have wanted.

Simply stunning. On all fronts. Terrific food. Wonderfully warm and friendly service. Great wines, truly so. Energetic and inspiring atmosphere. Positively loud and full of life. The chefs cook literally in front of you with precision, care and amazing focus. Food is incredible with only the slight moan that the truffle fries could and should be more truffly and fluffy. The team are a team and work in perfect harmony, like a bunch of friends who've known each other for years. Their passion for great food and service is breathtaking. We loved every minute and couldn't recommend Land and Sea more highly. We'll be back. Most definitely. Book now. You won't be disappointed.

The food is really good, big portions, so unless you could eat a horse, be careful when you order a starter. The night we dined we were the only group and it was very quiet. However, I have been there when it has been packed and the atmosphere is good then.

Came to revisit previous colleagues for a cappuccino and a slice of cake made by the talented young kitchen assistant, Catherine, helping out during the holidays!! I was certainly not disappointed with the quality of the cake, perfect and pardon the pun but her cakes are selling like hot cakes!! Everyone in the cafe and shop are always very friendly and had a great time when working there but it was time for me to move on. Great to see some loyal customers too who I hope to see again in my new place of work soon xx

Fantastic wedding venue! Staff are very welcoming and the food absolutely amazing. The venue itself is really stunning with a nice outdoor area along the canal.

I visited today with a friend and my dog. Both had been here before but it was my first visit. What a treasure this place is?! So cosy with a real village/community feel. Everyone was so friendly, staff and customers alike. Food was amazing, I was full but couldn’t leave a mouthful. Would 100% recommend!
