This is a very traditional tea room in the town, we went through to the garden at the back with our doggie who was treated to some chicken. We had some cake and a tea and coffee, lovely friendly ladies serving and the courtyard garden is really lovely.

What a fabulous treasure in our town. So quaint and just like a typical old world tea shop. The food is excellent. Delicious toasties, cakes and great filter coffee. The staff were so personable and our whole experience was great. We will definitely be going again.

Wonderful gem of a place. Alison is a fabulous and generous host and chef. Her fish lunches are especially good and great value too. Love all her vintage crockery and the garden and parlour are hidden treasures. Please open again soon!

A little gem that we found by accident! A lovely warm welcome, charming interior and garden, and real dog lovers! The food was great, and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back again very soon!

Lunched here several times. Great place for lunch. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, great team. Excellent value. Today they even went out to buy some fish fingers and glutton free bread for my sandwich as they had run out! This is exceptional service. Well done ladies. See you soon xx

Our first visit to this town centre tea shop where we were taken through to the Victorian parlour - a furnished summer house at the back of the courtyard, with seating for up to 16 people. We ordered macaroni cheese, chicken and leek pie and spicy avocado on toast. Fresh and perfectly cooked vegetables were served with the main courses, the spicy avocado toasts consisted simply of eight triangles on a plate, without garnish or salad. The hot dishes were tasty, the vegetarian option was less than appetising and the apple crumble and custard was unremarkable. Whilst we were the only occupied table in the parlour, the furniture was unwieldy and cumbersome and led us to suspect that if all four tables were occupied the parlour would feel very crowded and social distancing impossible. I am always keen to support local, independent businesses - but I have to be honest too. Bow Ties is a business that can only be described as amateurish - this is a review on behalf of 4 locals who will not be returning.

We spent a lovely morning in Bexhill and were so glad to come across this very lovely cafe. We sat in the Victorian Parlour and had lunch, I just love the old china and the feel of the place. If we ever come back we will surely drop in again.

We had a lovely lunch in the Victorian Parlour which is tucked away in the courtyard. Behind the deli which specialises in British artisan food and drink. They also do coffee and delicious cakes. We will be back.

Another great meal at this warm, cosy and inviting pub. We sat next to the wood burner which was nice and toasty. One of us had the Belly of Pork, my mouth is watering at the thought of it! One of us had the special which was bacon and onion suet pudding……You get a generous bowl of veg each and one of us had new potatoes and one had chips. Dessert was clotted cream rice pudding……Heaven! We are lucky that this is our local pub and it couldn’t be better! Cheers!

Go through the dowdy antique shop frontage into the tiny, almost cramped room behind and prepare for a treat. We three all picked the all day breakfast; proper bacon, real butcher's sausages and all the trimmings. At around £6, with coffee refills, we couldn't have been happier!

Cappuccino was not cappuccino, just normal coffee with chocolate on. Definitely not worth £3

Now called Chapter Two, not Two Trees. We enjoyed a lovely no thrills breakfast here which is exactly what we needed. The owners had signage up stating that they were away and the lady who appeared in charge in their absence was doing a great job. Made us very welcome and provided great service with a smile.
