My mother and I had a delicious lunch at Waltham Place. It’s a set menu and everything was delicious and the service very warm and friendly. We enjoyed a very informative and enjoyable 2 hour private tour (£40 total for a group of up to 4 people) by one of the estate’s very experienced gardeners, Tim. The gardens are stunning and set against the backdrop of the beautiful house. We had a fantastic afternoon and will definitely come back.

Original manor was built in 1634, but the history of the land dates back to 1086! A Tour of this magical place can be booked. Take good walking shoes, it has large tracts of land. A lot of educational research is taking place growing ancient grains, beautiful areas of landscaped gardens and various uses of up cycled materials. There is a restaurant on site and jams, seeds, pickles and more are for sale.

Not your usual restaurant in many respects: it is only open on a Wednesday lunchtime from about March until October; they prepare their dishes with produce from their own biodiverse farm; the menu is very limited but the service is very friendly. So, you will get delicious very local food, served in a friendly relaxed converted barn.

We booked a tour of these private gardens, and a lovely gardener called Lin took us around. The gardens we saw on this 2 hour tour were amazing, and Lin was so informative and interesting and happy to answer our questions. No photography allowed though. The cost includes a tea/coffee or hot drink in the cafe, and we also bought lunch. Rather a limited menu and it was quite busy the day we visited. Quaint and delightful morning.

you wont find better quality food in all of berkshire. I mean better quality in terms of how its grown. it's organic, biodynamic, theres nothing like it in berkshire, sad to say, wish there were more of these places, only open in may to september bit of a shame, its only down side is the barn where you eat had no garden views and is really cold unless you find a spot near the window in the sun, and it seems the owner of this place is old and tired, it lacks life and unfortunately does not attract me to it, i go there for their superior quality food and thats just how it is. Most of the paid employees there are lovely, as well as the volunteers, you can tell they have a vibrancy about them and also that they are under the thumb of the estate owner. it is a shame, and in my opinion a huge opportunity to have it as a thriving place lost.

This place is beautiful and so quintessentially British you feel like you've stepped back in time. A Farm true to its roots promoting only clean and organic living will truly change your mind on nasty shop food full of pesticides. You only have to try some bread and butter to tell the difference. Support your local outlets before its too late!

Recently visited the tearoom and farm shop at Waltham Place in White Waltham and was the food there is excellent as usual. All produce is home grown from the soups, bread and cakes on sale. The tea room is only open in the late spring and summer season (May to September) but well worth the visit. There is often garden tours running every Tue/Thu by appointment and other ad-hoc events (Walk with the Farmer, Special Interest Days, Seasonal Walks and Courses). We had soup and a fresh (and I mean fresh) salad, with coffee and a piece of cake. It was just lovely tasty food, all homemade. The setting is delightful too and plenty to see and do especially if there is an activity on that day. Just one word of warning, this is a private estate so strictly NO PHOTOGRAPHY onsite. Would recommend it and we plan to return very soon... Open from 10:00-16:00 Tue-Thu & 10:00-18:30 on Friday (there is a BBQ on Friday if the weather is good)

We had passed this place a number of times but always assumed it was closed or if not the car park seemed full. However we went past on a Sunday morning and it was open and the car park had been redesigned and had spaces available so we went in. It's a very traditional English cafe .The menu is all on the wall and you have to queue up to order but there is a wide selection of breakfasts to have. We ordered a variation of full English and were given a mug of tea and bread and butter was brought to our table . When the cooked breakfasts arrived very quickly we were given top ups to our mugs of tea. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced around £8.00 including tea. They have also daily specials .It's much larger than I thought as there is an indoor patio area at the back and has lots of table space. It got busy later as the locals came in , if only the tourists knew what they are missing.

First time coming here for our anniversary, Chris Valdez absolutely made the evening for us. He was so lovely, supportive, just the best service we have experienced. We tried his favourite dessert cocktail too which we loved! The attention to detail he added, just really made our evening. Thank you so much - we will be back! Couldn’t recommend more.

Portions were small. I ordered the celeriac and the portion was tiny for a main meal. I got a slice of celeriac, *one* mushroom and some kale... that was it. Compared to others at the table who had big roasts. I left hungry.

A great place to stop for a coffee and a cake. I was out cycling and we passed through Windsor. Located in the old ticket hall of the station, it’s a bustling cafe with tourists visiting Windsor castle and cyclists from all over, stopping here for a break. It’s really accommodating for cyclists with its indoor bike racks, heated glove warmers in the winter time for those who like winter riding. It’s the highlight of a ride when we head out this way
