Friendly service. The food is very delicious.

Delicious food, but the portion size of the mains too small for an adult, not sure why considering the price. So consider a starter and/or side. Slow service, we gave up on desert unfortunately, (understaffed?) 10 percent service charge is on the receipt, automatically added, so just be aware on that one.

Crispy beef salad and chicken burger was delicious, great sitting outside, looking forward to trying more of the impressive menu!

First time visitors to The Duke at Sunninghill and were pleased with our choice. Service was attentive and thoughtful throughout. The non drivers liked their wine choice. For myself as driver our server put care and attention into making very enjoyable soft drinks and a fresh mint tea. It was great to try a selection of the small plates, the chicken confit bon bons being my favourite. Our daughter enjoyed her steak which was a nice option on a children’s menu. My Wife and my Mother both enjoyed their risotto with chicken. The signature apple pie was tasty too for dessert. Parking was great also. Would recommend and would return.

I don’t tend to leave reviews but I feel compelled to, as the food was absolutely exquisite. I have been here multiple times now and every time is an amazing experience. We’re so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes’ drive away. The food is stunning (with big portion sizes) and great service. Indoors is quite spacious, a beautiful outdoor seating area for when the weather gets hot and plenty of parking spaces right next to the pub. All round this place is elegant with an awesome vibe!

Wow!! I met up with a few friends here and I will definitely be returning. We arranged to come for a couple of drinks but ended up eating too as the food leaving the kitchen looked sensational. High praise for the kitchen team as our meals (skewers, squid, halloumi fries, burger, chicken burger and loaded fries) were awesome! The front of house team couldn't be faulted either-Happy, attentive and smiling people always adds to the experience. Ella and Paul (I think that's what their names were) made us feel Very welcome and nothing we asked was too much trouble. The owner definitely has a great team running their business. Can't wait to return.

I know now why there are no negative/honest reviews it’s because you stand a chance to win a crate of Prosecco (I definitely won’t win!) The pub is very cramped with a small car park. Street parking is very limited. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is typical pub food which we have had before at other chains, and have had better. The Mediterranean platter had one chicken kebab between 2, the humus and tazikki were in the same ramekin , there were carrots! With aubergines (when did carrots become Mediterranean?) there were no salad or veg with our mains both burger chicken and beef, just chips. The food was hot. We were surprised to be charged a service charge. No mention of this on the menus that we saw. For what we had it was an expensive night out, £99 .

What a find! We came after reading the reviews. Initially on first impression it’s just a local pub and we thought maybe not a destination for a meal, but we was so wrong ! Greeted by happy friendly staff, our waitress was really lovely, happy and so friendly. The menu has a good choice, we all found it easy to choose. Starters were great, we all chose different and all thoroughly enjoyed our choices and they came up piping hot! Mains were equally good with lovely rich flavours, again we all really enjoyed our mains, hot plates and hot food. Sadly to full for deserts. Good wine menu too ! Well done The Duke, we’re be back. We’re always looking for a place that we can meet as family.

Friday night visit for meal with a friend. I had Belly Pork which was lovely and I can highly recommend.. Live music was Singer with guitar who sang great selection of songs. Lovely evening with friendly staff and tasty food.

Visited this pub after recent re-opening having last been there about 15 years ago. Vey tastefully refurbished inside with pleasant decor, good choice of drinks and clean and tidy restrooms. Food was excellent and reasonably priced and staff looked after us very well. Can thoroughly recommend the revived Duke!

Oh my word, what an absolute find. This is my second visit and yet again the food was sensational. There is no pretentiousness here, just a great atmosphere and wonderfully cooked food. The staff are incredible and really look after you without being intrusive. My favourite place to eat in Berkshire at the moment!

Spent a lovely lunchtime here today celebrating Mother's Day. 8 of us all had an absolutely amazing meal. Hubby and I have been before so we knew it would be great. Mum and the family all said "I wish we had somewhere as nice as this near us". We hope the poor young lady who had a medical episode is OK now, and we were only too happy to help. You and the team worked your socks off on such a busy day, and made the Mums feel very special. Well done team, and see you soon. Great day

Fantastic pub, great menu really enjoyed the Steak Burger. All the staff were really nice and very friendly, the place had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Im dropping a 5 purely for the fact that they have Belhaven Black on here, a welcome change from Guinness that is so ubiquitous. Friendly welcome and a nice vibe too on a Tuesday lunchtime for a birthday pint, will certainly be back again for a few more.

Great revival of a pub that should have been the heart of the village but had sadly been mismanaged for years. It's now serving great food, has wonderful staff and a friendly vibe. Love it.

We visited for a Valentine’s Day dinner and were impressed by the quality of the food and the service (shout out to Ella). We shared Halloumi Fries and Mac&Cheese Croquettes to start. For Mains we had the Chicken Salad and Monkfish Tails. Both meals were seriously tasty ! The food has a Thai hint to it and was very enjoyable. We shared an Apple Tart for dessert. The atmosphere was a little quiet and hopefully more people will visit to enjoy the high quality of food on offer.

Another delicious supper at The Duke. Staff and owner offer a friendly welcome and the menu is varied and interesting. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The loaded fries are great! There are very nice vegetarian options too, and plenty of choices for meat eaters. Last night was busy but we enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere. The staff were very efficient and still had time for a smile and a few words when serving us.

Great Sunday lunch. Lovely roasted potatoes parsnips veggies and wonderful Yorkshire pudding with the beef💕definitely returned staff attentive and helpful.

Pleasant lunch with freshly prepared food. Need a mortgage for the wine prices. Would suggest introducing a house wine at a more affordable price. Other than that would recommend.

Service was a little slow,but when it came it was well worth the wait. Pork belly superb with crackling and stunning gravy. Parsnip&Celeriac soup outstanding. Everything made from scratch so the wait can be excused.

Selected this place purely on location for a family get together in between 3 locations. So glad we discovered it - the food was absolutely amazing, every starter, main and dessert, staff very welcoming and lovely decor and outside play green for a post dinner game of tag! Can’t wait to return!

Absolute gem. We have been a couple of time before, we just wish this was our local! Lovely warm welcome for us and our dog friend by the manager Andreas. Really clean and pretty bar and restaurant. Great menu. I always know a place is going to be good when the menu isn't full to bursting! This place has a chef, not a cook. Husband had the pork bbq as a starter and it tasted amazing. The smell of it made me so hungry I ordered the pork belly. Loved it. Loved the bacon bits in the mash potato too, it was seamless and deliciously prepared and presented. Hubby had fish and chips which surprised me as normally he is more adventurous, but he was delighted with it! Sadly we were too stuffed and strapped for time for puds. Maybe next time we come we will start with a pud! Thank you for a brilliant lunch.

My ever suffering wife took the dog and I out for lunch and wow, what a good surprise it was. The service is always great and no different today. The food was even better than the last time. The Duke has an amazing menu, one that is a touch off beat for a pub but hits the mark down to a T. My wife had the pork belly and I had fish and chips. In fairness, I had food overload and couldn't decide and so made a snap decision. A good choice. My wife's food looked amazing and, by her own words "the best pork belly I've ever had". I won't be doing pork for a roast any more then... All in all flawless!

Always a great experience coming to the Duke. The staff are like family, always warm and welcoming. The kitchen turns out a very high level of pub favourites, always delicious, and they make some imaginative choices with their specials. It’s also the only place with Belhaven black stout that I’ve found in the southeast. The best part for us, though, is the beer garden - complete with an area for the kids to run around. I generally love a pub even more when it caters to parents and kids. And lastly, even though it’s not something most people care about or notice, they play absolute bangers on the speakers - fantastic playlist.

Really nice and varied food and wine selection to cater for all tastes. Outside space for Summer months and cosy atmosphere inside for Winter. Friendly, helpful, enthusiastic service. Hidden gem in Sunninghill with car parking. The Duke has become our new local favourite. Personally not fond of dogs in a restaurant but guess that’s an unavoidable trend in lots of places these days. Otherwise 10/10

Great drinkers pub and very good food.

We came for the South African wine tasting that we had seen advertised on Facebook. It was a fantastic evening!!! All 5 wines were fully enjoyed by everyone. Looking forward to the upcoming events.

I went with friends for lunch. We were warmly welcomed and as a gluten-free diner I was pleasantly surprised by the choices. Usually GF options are very limited but I had a choices for all three courses. Our host was really helpful and friendly and his recommendation of wine slipped down a treat. I hope to return soon to enjoy some more beautifully cooked food in a lovely environment.

Andras and his staff are just the most cheerful and accommodating bunch. The food is always excellent, it’s kid and dog friendly, and it’s got a lovely garden - what’s not to like?!

Why only 3 star? To me a pub's main job is to sell decent beer and on recent occasions have found no hand pull ale or an odd ball one ie strong. Sorry. Otherwise great!

Was really looking forward to coming here for dinner for my boyfriends birthday but we left disappointed. It was a Friday evening, not extremely busy. Service was extremely slow and seemed disorganised. The food was ok.

Food was brilliant and has great gluten free options! The staff were really attentive and friendly, really looked after us. Great local pub although I was disappointed not to see the guy who's headshot is the cover photo on Google, what a legend. Jokes aside the staff are always very friendly and the drinks served promptly.

Went after a funeral. Very friendly staff. Food very good.

Apparatus kind and friendly. The food is wonderful, especially the Sunday roast. We've loved taking part in the quiz, and can't wait to try the wine and whiskey tasting nights on a Wednesday. There's a play host in the garden to amuse the kids and give you a chance to have a g&t undisturbed. Highly recommended.

My mum and I came for dinner on Saturday night (3/12) and everything was absolutely perfect. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great price! We had the sharing Camembert to start which was to die for, I could of eaten the chutney it came with on its own!

Friendly pub with good beer and food

Service was good and lovely atmosphere. However very disappointed with one of the meals. Stay clear of the beef short rib. It was a bone with fat and TBH I'm surprised they even plated it up. Anyway, they took the item off the bill. Real shame as my meal was lovely.
