The best restaurants serving British food in North West

I have never been so humiliated in my whole life. 1st time visiting Manchester. Arndale centre. The Costa on the bottom floor. 1st of all they wudnt accept my friends money because it was northern Irish. My husband stuck up for her and told the girl it's all Sterling. She then proceeds to tell my husband she wasn't serving him... he then tells me and I go up and ask what the problem was with out money. She said we accept Scottish money but not yours. I told her this was discrimination. She then proceeds to call security and 3 guards ask us to leave with our items even though we paid for sit in. Costa you should be ashamed of yourself. Totally disgusting.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, Sophia and Harry work hard to make everyone welcome and look after them. Great variety of entertainment through the week including quiz night, open mic and live music. Friends with us on Saturday night had meals and said the food was delicious, good portions and great value thanks to Liam.

We have had an egg and sausage muffin in many Wetherspoons. Today we had one in the Boot Inn Burnley. It was the best we've had.. The muffins were fresh and the sausage and egg were boiling hot

The food here is average, its OK, but not special, hence the prices. Most meals offer an alcoholic drink or a soft drink, which is good. Unfortunately , there are too many FRUIT FLIES flying about the place, many nestling behind the warmth of the self service coffee, cappuccino and chocolate machines. This place offers warmth in its building, a down to earth place for down to earth, no nonsense people, a place to chat and banter.the bins that serve the drinks machines for emptying used tea bags sugar wrappers, need a good clean. Other than that, it's an OK place.

Best part of £50 spent on breakfast - drinks took a while to come, but they were cold by the time our food came. Orders were wrong and one of the sausage sandwiches was sent back due to the sausages being barely cooked. Yes, they had a sign saying to bare with them as they'd just reopened, but the prices are expensive for what it is and I doubt we'll be going again anytime soon.

Food arrived on time nice and hot .. delivery driver was polite. Definitely will be ordering again

Hab breakfast here 12.8 24 was good value and tasted good and belive me I have my own cafe so no what a breakfast should be like nice friendly staff .

Couldn't afford lunch at most other places and the usual fast food places get dull and unappetising. Spudulike, lush baked potatoes with loads of topping was ideal. Slightly too much topping though!

Absolutely belting. They've got a new guy working in the kitchen who is a trained chef! I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was without a doubt the best burger I've ever had. They also offer some really obscure takes on cheesy chips which I can't wait to try. I felt this "plaice" went a little downhill in recent years but they're back with a vengeance.

Food was not up to much my friend had mixed grill all undercooked taken home for the dog did mention it but did not get much response ,I had tuna mayo sandwich could taste vinegar in it not much Tuna at all had a bad tummy ever since got home think the Tuna must have been off giving that pub a miss from now on

Treated my friend and I to an apple Charlotte each. Returned home, one cake in the box and the other side of the box stuffed with paper. The girl only heard me ask for one which turned out to be £3.30 for one little cake!! If she had given me 2 then I would have queried £6.60.

Absoulute FILTH PIT !!! STAFF were really dirty long unkempt beards BLACK fingers nails , orderd a jumbo breakfast egg was burnt black ,, mushrooms burnt greasy sausages uncooked ,, Coffee cold and tasteless ,,, forks filthy , coffe spoon just as bad ,, the list goes on ,,, I STRONGLY recommend you To Not Eat here you will get sick ,, my girlfreind orderd a plate of chips and they got left ,,HORRIBLY DISSAPOINTED ,,, Avoid Avoid Avoid if you care for your health ,, Thanks for taking your time to read our Review and apoligies to the owner ,,, thats only if you didnt know how filthy your place is ,, Avoid at all costs

This problem is happening more often. We have observed around 4pm certain members of the McDonald's team, are closing off seating next to Costa, even though the car park is full and the roads outside are jammed packed with cars queuing to leave the services. We have observed some mamagers becoming annoyed by this action, as it impact on to their area. Plus the toilets really need to address the smell. This is happening ever since they stopped flushing.

You don’t expect much when you decide to have lunch in a supermarket cafe, but Sainsbury’s cafe exceeded my expectations. I had the lightest, tastiest quiche I’ve had in a long time. It was served warm with hot chips and a fresh salad - which looked and tasted great. Like I said, not the quality you expect, so I look forward to visiting again soon.

Rough as f#*k. Avoid unless your a local looking to hand over your dole to get smashed and or fight. Pretty sure people don't even try and use the urinals, they just p*#s in the middle of the room (toilets).
