Just made this Wetherspoons before 5pm so able to have our usual afternoon meal deal of fish and chips and a pint for <£9pp. Food arrived within 10 mins and was very hot (including plate) with fresh chips. Fish was quite chunky and very tasty. But looked a bit tired but appears to be due a refurbishment in the next fortnight. Convenient for bus station and our trip home after an afternoon in Burnley.

As you'll see, I have a long list of reviews. Chance tool me to Burnley - something I was less than enthusiastic about but so be it. I stopped in here for breakfast and dinner the same day as it is near the bus station. In fairness, the staff were excellent. The rest was typical weatherspoons. Food was pretty good on weatherspoons scale. Bar was busy with many day drinkers. Prob good place to make buddies. I will stop in here again next month when over from Ireland.

Lunch in Burnley and The Boot Inn was our destination. We'd never been to Burnley and chose one of the hundreds of Wetherspoons in the UK to satisfy our hunger pangs. A pub for centuries, The Boot is now selling cheap drinks, beer and a burger deals and cocktail pitchers a-plenty. We ordered two curries and a basket of chicken bits. No idea which parts of the chicken had been coated and cooked within an inch of their lives, but our daughter enjoyed them immensely. And that despite me constantly insisting it was probably all beak and kneecaps. It did look good though, if I'm honest. The curries were very, very tasty indeed and were devoured greedily. The pub itself was comfortable, the staff friendly and the food arrived quickly, and hot. Enjoyed the visit and will return.

They don't smile , they serve short measure , and they still serve beer what's cloudy ,and when you take it back, you get sarcasm like ie Whats up with it ? . At least the staff at Todmorden smiled ,and served a correct measure. And nothing was a problem . Sell the boot Mr Martin or staff it with polite barstaff what can do the job without spitting there dummies

Arrived at 6.05pm on Monday 4/9/23 and went to the bar to order a glass of wine whilst waiting for my husband who was due to arrive at 6.20pm, we were then going to have dinner and a few more drinks before going home. I stood at the bar for at least 10 minutes waiting to be served and was completely and blatantly ignored by the male member of staff on duty. The bar was not particularly busy however he proceeded to serve every man standing at the bar, including those who arrive after me. I patiently waited, and when a female member of staff joined him and asked who was next as I went to speak he spoke over me and pointed to a man standing beside who had just arrived at the bar, I found this intolerable and extremely rude and unprofessional. We have over the years used Wetherspoons quite a lot but this particular pub in the centre of Burnley, The Boot we will never return to again. I would not recommend it to anyone, and its not the cleanest either.

Wasn't expecting much for a Weatherspoon's breakfast but still was disappointed, the food was basic and bland not worth paying the 9 pound odd it was for the meal at the time. The only marginal up side was the price of the drinks though they were average as its a basic make it yourself brew but it had refills so could fully wash down the bland hash browns and tasteless sausages from breakfast. The place was extremely noisy as the venue doesn't know how to break up the seating areas with any kind of noise dampening, also don't sit outside unless you wish to smoke or be prepared to get absolutely smoked out or swarmed by wasps. Floors were sticky and the toilets I can only presume were "cleaned" to the absolute basic of the ability too. Overall would only recommend if you want a beer and snack rather than a full blown meal. You can easily find better establishments around town.

Why have the ladies toilets never been refurbished for years ? Burnley must have the worst toilets, they are very dark with dim lighting and damp. Every time you go into the ladies the sink top unit is always saturated with water. Also the bar areas are looking dark and tired. Wetherspoons don't seem to want to spend any money on the Burnley pub, it's a shame as it is a very busy pub especially on match days.

He had the change for a £10 note in one hand he gave it to me and in the other hand had the £10 note ready to give me he paused to see if l would accept the change before he gave me the correct change. As soon as he knew l was counting the change he then gave me the £10 note in the other hand. I noticed his scam/tric and contacted weatherspoons head office .Last night one of my friends went to the bar, and he was served by this same barman as me, 15 months ago . My friend came back and told me what had happened. He pointed out this barman and it was the same guy what tried to diddle me My friend had gave him a £20 note and he tried to give him change for a £10 note but this time he argued with my friend saying NO you gave me a £10 note. Went in here had the traditional breakfast with extra Bacon and Mushrooms, oh god the Bacon was luke warm at best, was an awful grey/pink colour and had obviously being reheated on a griddle, on one of my pieces was a small bit that looked green, I called the waitress over and said to her the bacon was cold funny colour and disgusting, held a piece up the bit with green on and said would you eat that, no she said, no apology nothing just walked away, so sat there for 5 min thinking maybe she's told a supervisor or something, no one came over, so presumed she'd either said nothing or had and like the impression I got from the the dirty tables snd overall u kept cleanliness of the place they didn't give a dam, my suggestion for this place is a good clean, new management who train staff how too deal with complaints and a new chef, oh and too cook bacon from fresh only takes 5 minutes on a griddle after all and too make sure there produce is fresh and correct stock rotation in place, as an ex senior manager for one of the biggest hotel chains in the world, I was flabbergasted anyone would serve food like that, and the lack of obvious staff training, I eat less than half a slice of bacon half hour later felt sick, 2 hours later had a stomach upset, luckily my husband didn't eat any, my advice stay clear, such a shame they sold the Brunlea and not this one instead, as I know weatherspoons aren't renowned for cuisine but I've eaten in dozens throughout the country and none have being anywhere like this.I've sent a copy of this review along with a covering email and photos I took of the bacon to the local Environmental health office, hopefully they'll investigate your standards.

A bowl of chilli, rice, tortilla chips and sour cream, the other meal was ham, egg and chips, again hit the spot! The two other meals were a burger with chips and a chicken feast (I think that’s what it’s called). Absolutely no complaints. Good, quick food. Great prices. Despite having excellent fare at other weatherspoons our meals were mediocre in layout and were only warm not hot. If a customer complains or expects to be served with a beer or food they are frowned upon. However, coffee drinkers are ok. To quote one member of staff. We prefer to serve coffee as we can just stand at the coffee machine for five minutes and it gives us a rest, rather than taking drinks or food orders! That says it all. When food is served it is hit and miss. But the one thing that is blatantly obvious is that the staff are more concerned with themselves than with customers. Try at your peril or luck.

My wife and I have been visiting this pub when in Burnley for many years the atmosphere is friendly the local beer is good value with a great choice. We enjoy Tuesday steak special, I always have the 14 oz Aberdeen Angus 30 day matured steak having had this dish at numerous other Wetherspoons all around the country it has only dissapointed on three occasions thats out of a good fifty visits not a bad ratio. On those three complaints the meal was always replaced by the normal high quality steak. The meal costs less than a tenner including a real ale pint, incredible value in a great pub full of local characters, staff always helpful keep up the high standards.

Yay lt was delicious n plenty of it for the price. I was well impressed. I went to Brunlea from the same chain n had an inedible tough overcooked mixed grill. This place was a lovely surprise. Went in on spec with a group of wives and friends whist staying the weekend in Burnley. Busy town centre pub like many of the Weatherspoons places. great choice of beers and other drinks at prices half of what I pay at home in the South of England: 7 drinks for under £13!!!!!!! Also had lunch which was the usual wide choice of pub grub. Stayed for a couple more drinks and shared a bit of banter with the staff who were friendly, if a bit quirky but that was all good too.

My wife and I have come again to The Boot Inn as we have never been disappointed in the service, food quality or value for money. My wife had the gourmet chicken burger and I had the 8oz Aberdeen rump. Both meals were simply delicious and for £14 with two pints of fruit cider it is amazing value. Nicola gave me a warm welcome and the service staff were on the ball too. Well done again. We will be back. Only down side was there were a few ' characters' in the pub including one old guy with (presumably) brain damage that was shouting and gurning throughout the meal. But it's Burnley so it's to be expected wherever you go.

Went into the Boot Saturday night approx 10.00 pm against my will..As usual all of the staff congregated at the top till on their mobile phones etc.Nothing changed in 6 months then.Moved half way along the bar and tried waving to get served !! finally a surly girl came down and asked what !!!!!Tried to order a bottle of wine but gave up because she didn't know the price etc.Ordered some pints and then more or less had the change thrown on to the counter with no please thank you etc .She then rejoined the group at the top till. Then I went too the toilet whilst my friends had too clean and remove used plates and glasses from the cleanest table we could find ;only too have too wade though urine and water all over the floor leaking from all of the urinals Went to tell the person behind the bar only to be told so what ???I said when I have told other spoons pubs in London about the toilets they do something about it politely only to be told to go 'back down London then'. Suffice to say no more drinks were ordered or food just got out quick.Avoid this place like the plague .

We visit The Boot Inn on a regular basis and always order wine. Since the appointment of the new Manager Bruno, he has forgotten twice to order wine and several other items resulting in NO WINE AT THE INN! Once is forgiveable but not twice. How can you miss ordering with a Bank Holiday/Pay day weekend coming up? Also on two recent Fridays there has been NO FISH for Fish Fridays!!The usual complaints of sticky tables and uncomfortable chaires apply here.Having said all this the staff are great and make up for the inadequacies of the Manager.

Who needs Harry Ramsden's I don't .Called in for a Friday special fish chips peas n curry sauce to be adventurous ha ha ! My wife had chicken fillets and salad .The food was done to top notch, lovely dry fish batter and chips, beautiful crisp salad and tasty chicken, the blonde barmaid was friendly on taking the order and the attending waiter genuinely interested in the opinion we offered on the food .The garden has been redecorated with better furniture and the wall at the back painted and cleaned up.Such a pity it was raining today, mind I'm not a smoker so the smoking zone would have drifted across to us, just moaning !!!

Called in for drinks at lunchtime on hot day, sat in beer garden. Service good but bit on the rough side with on couple entertaining everyone with a standing argument over a table. However felt safe and it has "Craic". Beer garden has separate areas for smokers but its such a small space this is pointless.

Let me start by saying the staff were excellent. Now to the meal at the best average the pie crust took some cutting it was a bit on the hard side, the peas were on the cool side and for the chips they looked ok. . Would I rush back, don't think so

We did say we wouldn’t return but glad we did… fairly busy 3 staff on who was very good for their age, very attentive and friendly. Wife had pizza which she loved and I had cheese pie and chips which also was very tasty. Couple of glasses of wine and bobs your uncle! We had a great hour and half well done to all, I will be back…
