Fish and chips today at the cafe. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and fabulous location. Surpassed only by the fish and chips. Best fish we have eaten on on the Fylde coast in a long, long time. Silverfish. A local supplier in Blackpool. Amazing quality fish!

We came here for lunch and have been a few times. This time we booked a pod, with a heater, this experience all the more pleasurable. Every time we come here Calum a member of staff here has always been like today polite considerate and always has a smile on his face. Thanks to him and the great lunch it's another great time here. If you are in Liverpool, do not eat here. My wife ordered the steak & ale pie with onion rings and I ordered the vegan chicken katsu curry. The steak & ale pie was completely inedible. The crust was so hard that my wife had to jab it repeatedly with her knife and when it finally broke, the contents were completely black and burnt to a crisp. There was no sign of any meat inside. She took it to the bar and the waitress asked if she would like a replacement. The replacement arrived after a few minutes (it must have been the right microwave setting this time) and whilst the pie crust was not as hard, there were barely three pieces of ‘steak’ inside and what was there was not at all appetising. My main was OK, but the onion rings were swimming in grease.

Thankyou to Lilly who tidied our table and served our food. Lovely girl.. there was 20 of my family including babies. She looked after us at every part of our meal... the food was good except the fish was a bit overcooked.. batter wasn't too good and no mushy peas 😕 apart from that great !!! thankyou Lilly ❤️

The pub interior is what you could describe as Olde Worlde...yep with some regulars having a drink by the bar and some customers take their dogs along too...however, the food and service I have always found to be excellent. Its a real 'rural type' pub and doesnt (I think) pretend to be anything else. The menu whilst not extensive is quite varied but the key thing for me is that the welcome is warm, the food is really good and the prices are more than reasonable.

Lovely restaurant, very friendly staff but there it stops! We forgave the two poorly prepared coffees which had to be remade. However, we could not forgive the food that was served up. 'Homemade' Cheese and Onion pie with chips and beans (£14.50 each) - we were hoping for a treat at that price - sadly there was not much more than a tablespoon of beans in a tiny dish, a meagre portion of thin fries and a dish of what can only be described as thick cheese sauce 'mush' mixed with raw red onion, topped with a thin puff pastry lid (definitely NOT a pie) - yes we know there are overheads but that cannot have cost more than a few pounds at the very most to produce. Prices may have gone up but this was absolute miles away from value for money. I haven't made reference to the other meals in our party as I feel the above comments are damning enough. The bill for our party was close to £90 - we did offer constructive feedback to staff and it would have been fitting for some form of discount to be offered but none forthcoming. Experience was even more galling as our party had also spent over £350 in the store on top of lunch. Won't be returning to the restaurant or recommending.
