I’ve been a regular at The Kings Ransom for quite some time, and I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff are all great, I have a particularly good relationship with Cassie, who is always polite, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure every visit is enjoyable. Cassie’s dedication to her work is truly commendable—she remembers the little details that make all the difference and always makes you feel valued as a customer. The venue itself is consistently clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment where you can relax and enjoy your time. Whether you’re there for a quick drink or a leisurely evening, The Kings Ransom never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Perfect hangover cure…Full English breakfast sat by the water in the sunshine. Perfect 👌🏼 breakfast was amazing, very tasty and lots of it. That was only the traditional also, not the large. Highly recommended x

Its clear from the comments on social media, that its absence is felt by the local community who eagerly await it's reopening. Meanwhile, the new signage and refreshing blue accent colour have already caught the eye of passersby, hinting at the modern and fresh approach being taken to rejuvenate this beloved local pub. Greene King, the brewery behind this ambitious project, have demonstrated exceptional commitment, with builders working tirelessly, including weekends. It looks like the project is on track to meet the impressive end of March deadline, and patrons (me being one of them) cannot wait to see the new venue. The scale of investment in this refurbishment is impressive, with local media reporting six-figure sums close to £1m to bring the pub up to date. This significant financial commitment speaks volumes about the faith in the pub's potential to continue being a cornerstone of community life here in Sale. Great pub, friendly staff, really nice food and lovely atmosphere. Situated by the canal and in the centre of Sale it's a great pub to visit with friends or family.

I was here with my partner and child after being a soft play. We were in need of food and have been here before and always had a great experience. Found a nice area to sit by the window, great choice for the kids menu and I enjoyed a steak as it was Thursday and they have a promotion on. Highly recommend.

We went here last year as a family and it was amazing so booked again for this year for Christmas Day. It was again excellent. The menu covered everything and everything was brought out piping hot and well presented. The food was amazing and there was plenty of staff on and it was so well organised again. It was the perfect day for our family. Massive thank you to Tracy and Mike and all their staff for making the day so spectacular!

Visited on an extremely busy night (canal boat procession and music at the Sale Waterside) but was shown to our table straight away. The food that we ordered was served very quickly and was delicious. Can’t fault it. Staff very courteous and helpful despite the busy atmosphere. Gem of a pub.
