My friend and I had the full English Breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Good quality ingredients, served hot and large portions. The service was really good and the prices are cheap! Seriously, for that quality you would expect to pay a lot more.

Looking for a wedding venue in locality of Southport, this place knocked spots off everywhere else in Southport. From meeting Julie who runs the venue, the welcome was warm, relaxed and professionally run as Julies experience of doing the role 45 or so years showed. No question was a silly question and Julie gave great advice on alternative ways of decorations, foods, and tips for us as bride and groom. The building is magnificent and we had the whole ground floor solely for wedding party. The chef Phil was amazing as his food for breakfast and evening buffet was, and his laid back attitude of whatever you want I can do not a problem, first class. My wife to be was in tears of joy seeing the actual layout of the wedding breakfast room the day before they did us proud. The whole day was like clockwork professionally run by Julie and her team and made us both feel extra special. Many guests, commented on what a lovely venue this is and how fab the food was. We would highly recommend the venue

Level up is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. It can be found at the Everlast gym on Ocean Plaza, however it is open to non members. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the vegan products they serve. The protein shakes taste amazing as are the cakes and raw bars. You can get a loyalty card and earn a free drink. I would highly recommend a visit

Disappointed to see it closed on Saturday for the second time with no notice anywhere we have been regular customers for years and travel a distance to get to Southport we have found a good alternative now to eat sad to see it becoming more unreliable at the pavilion on lords street

We decided to try here after seeing the proprietor of Moor Hall (a Michelin starred chef) rave about this place. We visited on an early Friday afternoon, expecting to have missed the lunchtime rush. There were two tables available, all the rest full, and we clearly got there just in time, as there was then a queue of people awaiting to be seated. Just in time indeed! Our order was taken promptly by the waitress, and our meals appeared very quickly, piping hot and full of flavour. I went for the haddock with chips and mushy peas, my OH for the cod with chips and peas. It's incredible value for money as it is, coming with a round of buttered bread and a drink, but it genuinely is one of the best 'chippy teas' I've had, and the cost is probably cheaper than my local chippy! The flavour is brilliant. I genuinely can't see how anyone can complain for the quality of ingredients you get, for the price you're paying. If you're in the area, give it a whirl. If you're not in the area, make the trip anyway. It's very much worthwhile.

Dissatisfied with my meal, vet dry mash and the steak was also dry, no oil, grease even, no juice at all, my plate was bone dry underneath it, I had mash for a change but realised all the meals advertised with mash have gravy on them, now I realise why, told the waitress with straight dark hair but she didn't really seem interested tbh, mentioned it to her when she collected the plates as no one had asked if everything was OK after it had been served, a shame really as I have always had a decent meal there

Monday night for tea, surprisingly inexpensive for 3 people with delicious food. Fish and chips was mega. Chunky fish fillet in delish super crispy batter. Cant go wrong esp with help yourself sachets of tartar sauce.Guinness was great and wine was nice quality around £5 for a large glass. Or £15-16 for a bottle. Lovely place and nice clientelle. Bar staff were awesome. We would return in a heartbeat.

Very sorry to be writing this review. Past experience of Cranberries was always good but not today. Will not say anything about food that was fine but the staff were not. The waitress who. ‘Served’ us seem to find my sister and I an Intrusion to her conversation with another girl. Our food was virtually thrown onto our table and she never even looked at me as I payed again in her haste to get back to another conversation. She never asked if we had enjoyed lunch, thanked us for coming or wished us a pleasant day.in fact she was just plain rude. I will never be returning to Cranberries ever again, we found the experience quite unpleasant.

New management and it is really good great atmosphere! The oldest pub in Southport and still traditional. The new menu is excellent indeed and delicious, plus proper chips! Thanks to the owner Wendy and her excellent staff, Kerry, Lydia and the two Marks. Highly recommended

A group of 38 people attended a Festive Dinner here where we were served what was meant to be Beef Wellington. The food was terrible with the cut of beef having the texture of shoe leather, bone dry and seriously overcooked. The potato stack was raw and rubbery with the edges singed but the centre uncooked. The vegetables were like bullets and the sweet was still frozen in the middle. Following a comprehensive complaint the blame was shifted to the party and no fair compensation was offered.
