Very sorry to be writing this review. Past experience of Cranberries was always good but not today. Will not say anything about food that was fine but the staff were not. The waitress who. ‘Served’ us seem to find my sister and I an Intrusion to her conversation with another girl. Our food was virtually thrown onto our table and she never even looked at me as I payed again in her haste to get back to another conversation. She never asked if we had enjoyed lunch, thanked us for coming or wished us a pleasant day.in fact she was just plain rude. I will never be returning to Cranberries ever again, we found the experience quite unpleasant.

Went to Cranberry’s for a light lunch prior to going to the cinema. I ordered the Club sandwich and my wife chose one of the ‘specials ‘, which was a toasted panini with cheese, ham & cranberries. Both came with a salad and homemade coleslaw and were absolutely delicious. To drink, I had a flat white and my wife had a Cappuccino, which both to a very high standard. Didn’t have any room for cake, but that also looked good. Service was quick and the staff were very attentive, If you get the chance I would highly recommend you give it a try.

Great gluten free choices for my coeliac child and the waitress was very reassuring that it is prepared in its own separate area. The non-coeliacs in our group enjoyed their lunches too. Would definitely return when in Southport.

We had passed this place earlier in the day and saw how busy it was. This made us look at the menu which looked very interesting. So later in the day we went back. We had two coffees a Welsh Rarebit and a Chicken and Avocado salad bowl. Everything was lovely. Presented nicely and great quality. The cakes on offer looked very tempting however on this occasion we resisted. A great find and we will be back when next in Southport!

My husband and I visited this quaint little coffee bistro I must say everything was homemade delicious and the hot chocolate was divine will definitely return staff very attentive polite and nothing was to much trouble its worth a visit 😋

Nipped in for a sausage muffin for breakfast, pot of tea. My wife opted for the bacon muffin and a hot chocolate. All freshly prepared and delivered by friendly and welcoming staff. As we enjoyed it, we clocked the Specials board, the Mrs. Loved the idea of the salmon fishcake. So it was back here for lunch. I had a pannini and a latte to die for. Herself followed her salad with an apple and caramel betty with ice cream. A Great wee place off the beaten track, ideal for a chilled place to eat and drink. Again the staff were fab. Can't ask for more a

This is a lovely cafe with friendly staff situated in the Cambridge Arcade. We had soup with bread and coffee both were very good.

Lovely location, super warm and friendly welcome from the proprietor. A short break and oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Found it by accident and will be back soon. It’s only coffee and homemade cake.., but I like it!

i popped in for a gorgeous avocado salad lunch which was beautiful - fresh, tasty, decent sized portions and a great price. My dessert - the ferrero rocher cheesecake on the other hand... i cant find sufficiently glorious words to describe it - it was home-made in the cafe... the supremely delicious, lightest, most mouthwatering, (not too sweet) cheesecake i have ever eaten.... i wish i lived nearby but was on holidays.... i recommend this lovely place unequivocably......

Went there last Saturday. There was nothing on show that was at all interesting so just had a coffee. It was nothing special. When I stood up to leave the woman walked towards me quickly as if I was going to leave without paying. The whoe experience was drab and I regretted going there, so in future I will go to Costas

A really lovely spot. We rested, refilled and relaxed. All Covid rules thoughtfully and safely applied. Lots of kind care and attention with an in fussy manner and large range of food on offer.

Called in for an early light bite approaching lunch time. Staff very friendly; well pleased with the Covid Secure routine. coffee and toasted tea cakes was all we had but found it great. all well served.

Altho I come here often now, I came here for a quick lunch on one of the Eat Out Help Out days. It was busy which is good to see that people are getting more confident in eating. My details were taken for Track and Trace in accordance with Govt guidelines. Their homemade soup is the best I have ever tasted. Ordered soup and a filled roll. The soup was amazing as always. How can soup be amazing? Well Cranberrys soup is. Arrives piping hot in the bowl lovely complemented by a filled roll of your choice. I observed staff sanitizing each table after use for the next customers. Staff are always friendly. I only wish I hadn't wasted so much time and money before I found this little gem..

We stopped for lunch here. What a delight it was. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious, and staff were able to alter their menu for my daughters food choice. Really wonderful place and definitely worth a stop for lunch, cake or just for a cup of tea. Wonderful, definitely recommend.

We visited by chance before going to the cinema in Southport. Beautiful food, well prepared and served by lovely friendly staff. My friend who is gluten intolerant was delighted to find a full menu dedicated to gluten free food and cakes. They also have a vegan menu. Cakes and fruit pies were also lovely.

Visited on NY Eve afternoon and enjoyed our food and drinks. The menu is quite extensive and well priced. The lady serving was really pleasant and we will definitely return on our next visit.

This is a great place for coffee, snacks and lunches with gluten free options. Garlic mushrooms on GF ciabatta is wonderful. Friendly, helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

Never fails to impress. The vegan selection is beyond incredible and the service is exquisite!The waitress that served me was so polite and catered to me perfectly. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced! If you're looking for a hidden gem, then look no further than this little diamond.Totally recommended, will be back very soon!

A lovely little place with a warm welcome and great food.We found Cranberry's just outside the back door of the Atkinson Museum and treated ourselves to some really tasty hot food in this friendly little eatery. Our vegan hot meals were really delicious and satisfying and looked as good as their mainstream menu. They also had truly fab cakes and I so wished I had taken home all the cherry pie! I was just visiting Southport but if I lived there I would be in Cranberry's every day!

We visited the cafe on Saturday lunchtime. We were served promptly by very friendly staff, who chatted to our children and discussed options with one, who wanted a slight variation from the menu. Food and drinks were excellent, and the dedicated gluten free menu is great. Highly recommend.

Found reviews of this place advising gluten-free offerings, upon visiting for breakfast the staff member was the rudest and unwelcoming person I have ever come across. Obviously the business is so profitable that they are able to pick and choose their customers (even though I was the only one around). Avoid at all costs unless you want to be treated disgustingly.

Took dad for lunch. Forgot how good this place is! Eggs Benedict was beautiful, but not quite as good as the cherry pie and custard!! Yorkshire tea too.... what’s not to love! Really nice staff. Felt very welcome. Back again soon x

Picked up a coffee from a chain store then found this supposed little gem for food, only to be sent away.

We stopped here today for lunch as we do every time we visit southport,it was as nice as ever, friendly staff, nice and clean, good choice on menu. Can be chilly sat outside in mall but will always put heating on for you. Definitely be returning.

A friend and I visited Southport today and had lunch at Cranberry’s. I was very impressed with their gluten-free menu - it was quite extensive with jacket potatoes, ciabattas and bagels with lovely fillings, even gluten-free scones etc. My jacket potato had a choice of cheddar or Lancashire cheese. The cheese was proper slices of Lancashire, not the fake tasteless cheese some cafes serve. It also came with salad and coleslaw and was reasonably priced. My friend had egg sandwiches which she said were very nice. The cafe was clean and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

This place is incredible. Such good food at such reasonable prices. They make you feel so welcome! The place looks lovely and clean and the staff are super friendly. Incredible vegan menu as well! Definitely worth a visit.

Very average sandwich on cheap bread. Shabby environment , toilet is filthy with no soap and key on a chain being handed between staff and customers 😷. Similar prices as much nicer cafes. Sorry won’t be visiting again.

Stopped for coffee, coffee was lovely the staff very friendly and welcoming and you get a biscuit with your coffee.

From the menu the choice we both made sounded great, unfortunately the hash skins were very poor and basically were a slightly warm jacket potato with a few pieces of corn beef and a very small amount of onion with a small salad, I had expected corn beef hash in crispy potato skins with a nice tasty amount of onions with parsley as described on the menu.

Just cut through Cambridge Walks on the way to Lord Street and spotted this place... looks unassuming... a coffee and cream tea place but we glanced at their lunch menu.... quite a nice range of food... paninis... bagels... salads.. sandwiches... and the food was spot on... I'd recomend it

We called in this afternoon. We both had the advertised Cream Tea. Our coffee and tea were very nice but the star of the show, the fruit scone and accompaniments were a let down. My husband managed to find a couple of sultanas and I probably had a couple more than him. The small packet of jam barely covered the 2 surfaces and the fresh but aerated cream just disappeared. We were also surprised that we couldn’t pay by card. They only take cash which didn’t seem to be advertised anywhere either. Disappointing really after being lured in by the good reviews.

Found cranberrys today walking through Cambridge arcade, which we neva do. We were with my daughter in law and 6 month old grandson, I asked about baby changing facilities which they had, so we went in.

I love it here!! The homemade soups are my favourite!! I had the vegan chocolate cake on my last visit which was to die for!! Staff are so friendly!

I visited Cranberry's Coffee Shop today with a friend for lunch. We both plumped for the Always Delicious Welsh Rarebit only my friend added a slice of bacon and I added an extra portion of Welsh Rarebit.

I absolutely love Cranberry's Coffee Shop. It's a coffee shop but also so much more. It's a meeting place, a toasted tea cake with friends place, a warm wholesome, homemade lunch place, an afternoon tea place - but most importantly of all, it's a warm, friendly, comfortable, happy place.

I often visit Southport with my Mum to have lunch. Our favourite place is Cranberry's coffee shop. The homemade soup is the best I've ever tasted, absolutely delicious, I've travelled and ate in many places but here is one of my favourites. I leave feeling treated by good homemade food.

We always enjoy a bowl of the delicious home made soup, rolls are lovely and light, fresh wholesome food. Staff are pleasant and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.

It was £1.50 for one slice of toast. Ridiculously expensive and I cannot see how this price can be justified.

Love this cafe! I love that they have a separate gluten-free menu with lots of choice, and that they also offer a proper gluten-free cake and scones not just those little pre-made packet cakes. The coffee is great too!

Friendly cafe with lots of healthy/free from menu choices. I had the homemade soup from the specials board and it was delicious. There was an attractive cake cabinet and I had the lemon meringue pie which was really fresh and served with cream or ice cream. Staff were welcoming and efficient and there is indoor seating as well as covered arcade seating. I would definitely return here to try more of the specials/regular menu options.

Smokey skins lovely tasty light lunch £5:95. Delicious carrot and cumin soup with giant cheese seeded bap £6. Lovely lunch with friendly staff in quiet environment.

Met a friend for coffee and decided to go to Cranberry's coffee shop.Service very efficient and coffee was good quality and so too was the food.

On Sunday 1st July 2018,we once again held our Armed Forces Day parade and display in Southport as part of the SSAFA initiative in Southport. The event was attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside,The High Sherrif,Lord Mayor and local MPs. Cranberrys once again provided lunch for the VIP guests and other person attending the event. A total of 70 persons were catered for,and provided with an excellent choice of food and drink . All persons commented on the excellent food and service,and we were all able to have our refreshments without haste during a period of one a half hours. Thanks again Caroline and the team.

Had a quick lunch. Hubby had delicious carrot soup and sandwich, I had quiche with salad. Both were very nice, fresh and homemade. It is a very cute café setting just inside a little mall area. So the tables out make you feel like you are outside.

I have just found this coffee shop and if you want some space from the out side then this is the place I had a coffee nice and peaceful will call again .

We usually call in here when we go to Southport. You have to know it is there, but worth the visit. Selection of sandwiches, bagels, paninis, ciabattas, cakes, pastries, hot and cold drinks.

Today, mum and I ventured into the little-known Cambridge Walks shopping centre on Eastbank Street in Southport. There, we found a little gem of a cafe, tucked away.

Lovely food and atmosphere, noticed they had a crochet/knitting group , was really excited! Should have brought my hooks! Food was really scrummy especially the homemade coleslaw. Will be calling again next time we are in Southport. A hidden gem.

What a splendid cafe. Quick and friendly service and food. Try it and see! A variety of choices,served in an inside/outside cafe setting.the staff are excellent,and recently catered for a party of 70 people at the Armed a forces day event held in June.The party included the Lord Mayor,Local MPs and other dignitaries who found the food varied and excellent,and commented on the more than helpful staff. Well worth a stop if shopping in Southport.

We were looking for a place to have a bite to eat with our children and we were recommended cranberrys coffee shop so we decided to give it a go. With a 4 year old and a 1 year old, we decided to get them the children's lunch box and for ourselves, the bacon and Brie ciabatta with two hot chocolates. The waitress was rude when I went inside to place the order, just stated that she will come to us. There was no conversation, she just wrote it down, we weren't made to feel welcome at all.

I have been coming here to Cranberry's for a good few years and it never dissapoints, the food is allways of good quality, Love the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, and the cakes ... spoilt for choice.

I was here with my granddaughter. The cafe has an indoor area, and an area that resembles a street cafe. They do a child option, served in an animal-themed box, comprising half a sandwich, pom-bears, some cookies, and a drink for £3.30, and she was happy with that. I had the steak panini, which was quite hot and peppery! It's a quiet space within the arcade at the rear of the Atkinson Museum, so it's very handy. There are various special dietary ingredients on offer, such as gluten free, and they try to cater for everybody. There is wheelchair access from the road, and it's a safer option for children, rather than eating outside.

We came upon Cranberry's coffee shop quite by accident as it was curiosity which took us up the arcade where it is situated rather than anything else. The shop is a bit hidden away from the main shopping areas but worth finding if you just want coffee or a snack to put you on. The shop is very clean and service is quick and although the menu is not very big, the food is good.

We have just had our lunch of soup( chicken and mushroom) delicious, my husband had the sausage cibatta all served with a smile and jokes.Thank You.

We,ve passed many times, today we decided to go in. I chose quiche + salad, hubby picked mushroom soup, this came with a large oaty roll+ butter. My quiche + salad came with coleslaw & a small seeded bap+butter. We had drinks- pot of tea for me and coca cola for my husband, we enjoyed our lunches, they were good. My husband saw some egg custard tart in the cake cabinet [ it looked lovely and deep ], so he had a slice, it was a generous portion, I had some manchester tart. The desserts were both very nice, the young lady serving was pleasant and give me a scoop of ice cream with my tart.We will call again when in Southport, to try another of their varied menu options.

Just had coffee here which is in nice surroundings in an arcade and i noticed that they had a good selection of Snacks such as paninis which were reasonably priced

Out of paninis so was asked if we fancied ciabattas. We affirmed. Waitress brought our order. TheIr chef had taken one ciabatta sliced it down the middle and then cut it in half. In one half put my wife's filling, in the other half my filling. We were charged for two ciabattas at £5.60 each.

Popped in after lunchtime to look at the cakes and was greeted cheerily. Returned later to have a drink and partake of said cakes, and a different lady was serving. Asked for one drink and two cakes, and was asked... "so... just one drink and two cakes?". Me: "Yes". Lady: "OK". I mention the dialogue, because the "OK" was delivered not so much in an affirmative way as a eyebrow-raising "OK, if you say so" sort of way, with perhaps just a smidgeon of sarcasm. I could be wrong - I may have misinterpreted the tone - but that's how it seemed or otherwise I wouldn't mention it. And so to the food... coffee not bad, cake (cheesecake and gluten-free coffee cake) nice enough, although the coffee cake wasn't as buttery as I'd like and I think may have been made with margarine (or to be fair, perhaps it was the gluten-free aspect, which can obviously affect the end result). Had the price been a bit more modest, I'd have been quite satisfied, but having not received much change from a tenner, I was a bit disappointed.

What a lovely little place we fell upon to have lunch ,great staff very friendly all fresh home cooked food which went down a treat ,we will certainly be back again soon keep up the good work Caroline and Ruth .

Our first visit although we have walked past many times and we really enjoyed it. We had a lovely lunch and I had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream on top - it was to die for. The staff where very friendly and we will definitely visit again.

We were very surprised with the extensive menu. I had the Welsh rarebit served on a delicious crusty bread. My daughter had a jacket potatoe with quiche. Both dishes cooked very well. No complaints at all. We shall definitely call again

A lovely cafe, offering a good selection of lunches, including a full kids menu and a gluten free menu that extends to desserts. Service is always friendly, and very family friendly. One of our favourite places to stop for a mid-morning drink and nibble.

Lovely food with lovely staff. No waiting around because of prompt service. There cakes are fantastic. Deffinately worth a visit.

Not my first visit but, if it's perfect for me then I will continue to return.I love this coffee shop. Great food, value for money, extensive menu with an interesting "specials" board, fabulous, friendly staff and yummy cakes! Dropped in for a snack and coffee after seeing the good reviews. The food we had was ok not jaw- droppingly cheap just average for this type of place. Cafetierre coffee was strong but pleasant enough reasonable for its type. Cappuccino was disappointing.. Over frothed, too hot with chocolate spinkle...and behind all that bland tasting. Bearing in mind the picture on top of the listing showing microfoamed latte art I was expecting something better! The thing is uk coffee culture is improving gradually and Cafes like this could easily capitalise on this trend with a bit more effort on the coffee front.

We found this cafe after a quick search on Google. The location is fabulous, nestled in a little Dickensian arcade, and the staff were friendly. The gluten free cake and cheesecake we bought were amazing! We are often disappointed with gluten-free offerings, but these cakes were so good my non-coeliac husband ate them too. They were so nice that at one stage I worried that they weren't gluten free. The waitress assured me they were, although I would have liked her to be able to provide a list of ingredients (she couldn't as they were made off-site).

I have been to Cranberry's Coffee Shop many, many times over the years and I can say with complete honesty that I have never been dissatisfied or disappointed. There's always a great choice on the menu and the specials board offers that "something different". Fabulous value for money too.I will continue to support this local gem!

Been here a few times over the years so we thought we'd pop in again. I prefer to support local businesses when possible. However the board quoting ' Fresh homemade scones with lashings of butter ' is simply misleading. The scones did not seem homemade nor particularly fresh and rather small ? The jam was in a little pre-bought packets ( putting fresh jam in nice small pots be more enticing ) and why bring the scones out way before the coffee. Small issues i know but other people may no doubt have picked them up as well. Otherwise it's lovely and we WILL go back . Thanks Rob T.

I have been visiting Cranberry's for a very long time - too long to mention but it has never disappointed in anyway. Coffee is very good, super choices on the menu, great specials board, friendly staff, clean environment and overall a good ambiance. Always consistent, always good value. Well done to you all.

This is a great place if you have a person who is gluten free in your group, They have a separate, fairly large gluten free menu covering snacks, mains and cakes. They serve great tea and coffee and the free Wi-Fi is a great extra.The staff always have a nice word for you and there appeared to be a number of regulars there.The food is lovely and uncomplicated. No dots, drizzles or over fanciness.When I visited they were not taking card payments, so check before you order.

I visited this eatery on Monday but have been there many times before. The food was up to its usual good standard and the coffee was great. However, I have noticed a decline in customer service over the last few months. The service I received today was even worse than a previous occasion. The cafe was quite quiet, so I guess the staff were bored. One member of staff was more intent on constantly messing with her hair. I could not believe that she actually washed her hands and then immediately ran her fingers through her hair, then served someone with their lunch!!! Really?? I just feel that there are some training issues here. Get on top of them and I'm sure that the cafe will be great once more.
